or what if you read more poems, do you think they could inspire you?

I do like that poem....it's true and quite sad actually....
and I hate it when you think you have a really good idea for a poem, but then when you start writing and it doesn't turn out as good as you wanted it to.....
songs inspire me a lot too, especially when they have a certain feel to them. Like, if I listen to them whilst I'm writing I feel more calm and in the tone to write in the similar tone as well......if that makes sense......lol
I know it sounds really weird, but I like a lot of Shakespeare's sonnets as well.....like
Sonnet 18 and
Sonnet 130.....not many people do though lol
