Black Panther Dust
Inspiration: The black panther (leopard version) has relatively short legs and a long body with a large skull. It is similar in appearance to the jaguar, but is smaller and more slightly built. The species' success in the wild is in part due to its opportunistic hunting behavior, its adaptability to habitats, its ability to run at speeds approaching 58 kilometers per hour (36 mph), its unequaled ability to climb trees even when carrying a heavy carcass, and its notorious ability for stealth. They also tend to be very intelligent, independent and can have very bad tempers.

The Dust
Character Name: Kemnebi
Meaning: Panther in Egyptian
Nicknames: Brat (by Anthony), Nebi (by everyone else)
Dust Essence: Black Panther
Gender: Female
Powers: She’s much stronger than she looks, able to lift her own body weight and still move around at a decent pace. Once the weight she’s lifting reaches 75% of her own body weight she can’t run, fight, or really defend herself unless she drops whatever weight she is carrying. Her strength does come in handy if her guardian is in a tight spot.
She’s fast, running at a decent clip for short distances. Kemnebi is very much a sprinter, though, and doesn’t have very much stamina. She will tire quickly on a long distance run.
Kemnebi is also pretty stealthy, able to hide in the shadow and escape notice…especially if the person looking for her isn’t paying attention.
Appearance: Kembeni is rather short for her age, but she’s muscular and lithe. Her skin tone is a dark tan. Her fingernails and toe nails end in claws. Her eyes are bright, deep green with gold speckles, and have the classic upturned cat-eyes with slitted pupils. She has long hair, bangs frame either side of her face and the rest of it is pulled back into a high ponytail to keep it out of her way. Her main hair color is a medium to dark black and has darker black rosettes running through it. I envision her hair brushing her shoulder in the ponytail as a child, then mid back as a teen and long enough to tap the base of her tail by the time she’s an adult. Obviously that is up to the artist.
I’m hoping to get a smug, slightly disdainful, slightly amused look on her face. Like she thinks she’s better than you but you’re cute, so that’s okay. I so fail at the description, I know.
Attire: Kemnebi wears clothing that allows her as much freedom of movement as she can. She normally wears a little black halter-top shirt so that her arms keep as much freedom as possible. Black Capri pants with purple ties up the sides. And black fingerless gloves. Kemnebi absolutely cannot stand shoes, though, she finds them too restricting and goes barefoot.
Distinguishing Features: She’s got black cat ears that sit up alertly on her head, and each ear has a silver ear cuff along the outer edge. She also has a long black tail.
Personality: Kemnebi has your typical cat personality: she’s aloof, slightly disdainful about most activities and people, and everything belongs to her. And boy, does she mean everything. Anthony’s house? Nope, it’s hers. Anthony’s stuff? All hers. Oh, and Anthony? He’s hers too. Anthony is her guardian and father figure and Kemnebi can definitely be overly possessive of her guardian. If she doesn’t know you, she’ll go so far as to curl up on Anthony’s lap, growling and glaring. Kemnebi will also hiss at strangers whom she has taken a disliking to unless Anthony tells her not too…several times. Even with people she knows and likes, she’ll eventually get tired of them monopolizing Anthony’s attention and will hop onto Anthony’s lap, or onto his shoulders and sit there pouting.
When she likes a person, or gets happy, she’s very playful and rambunctious, playing all kinds of games. She will tear though the house playing keep-away with some shiny, important object of Anthony’s. Kemnebi has great balance and strength, so she will usually hop from one piece of furniture to another and literally climb up walls and bookcases. One of her favorite activities is climbing the tree out back and waiting until someone walks under her, then she pounces on them before leaping away, laughing mockingly. This tends to get her, but mostly her guardian, into quite a bit of trouble with irritated neighbors.
Kemnebi definitely has a bit of a temper, though, and can get really grouchy and anti-social. When she does get grouchy, she normally finds the highest place in the house she can get too and hides there, curled up and growling. Her bad moods are usually brought about by being scolded for something that she knew she shouldn’t have done…and did anyway. Her tantrums usually don’t last long, especially if Anthony simply ignores her. Hating to be ignored by her guardian, she eventually comes back down and tries to apologize by snuggling up with him.
She absolutely hates being restrained in any way. That’s why the dust doesn’t wear shoes, she finds them way too restricting and they pinch her feet. Kemnebi likes to come and go as she pleases, like any other cat, and one of her biggest fears is to be tied up or stuck in a way where she can’t move. She would probably either try to fight her way out, or curl in a corner, prepared to strike out at anyone she sees as a threat.
You can always tell what mood Kemnebi is in if you watch her ears and tail carefully. Her ears are up and alert and her tail is usually held at a jaunty angle when she’s in her normal, happy mood. Her ears droop to the sides of her head when she’s sad, sometimes accompanied by her tail drooping as well. When she’s pissed, her ears pin back to her skull and the tip of her tail twitches. When she’s startled, her tail poofs up to twice it’s size and she usually shoots up to the top of some piece of furniture or a tree.
Summary: Disdainful, Playful, Loyal, Grouchy
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes: Steak, trees, freedom, summer, Anthony, lounging on tree branches
Dislikes: Shoes, being told what to do, being stuck/caged, rain, cold
Hobbies: Climbing trees, hiding in them, then pouncing Anthony…or random people who walk underneath the branch she’s on. She can patiently lie in wait for hours on end. Hanging out with Anthony.
Anything Else: I was thinking Anthony could find the bottle while at either Deith or Whi forest while he’s trying to get materials for his job or hobby. I also had an idea that includes her pouncing on the wrong neighbor and getting in a lot of trouble. This would probably include the exploration of her dislike of being caged/locked up.

The Guardian
Name: Anthony
Nickname: Tony
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Race: Human
Date of Birth: September 2nd
Occupation: Carpenter/handyman
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 185lbs
Hair: Short and choppy, it’s the color of silver moonshine. His bangs hang haphazardly across his face, most brushed aside to cover his right eye and he’s gotten into the habit of tossing his head to clear his view. The motion is completely unnecessary as he can see perfectly fine through his bangs, but by now it’s a habit. In the back, the tips of his hair brush just past his shoulders and he will usually tie it back with a piece of leather while he works.
Eyes: His eyes are dark blue, almost purple with a quiet, confident expression.
Skin: Caucasian, but tan; as if used to working outdoors a lot.
Build: He’s got wide shoulders filled with wiry muscles, and is solidly built but not huge like a body builder. He’s lean and strong.
Markings: He’s got a small scar just to the side of his right eye and down to the top of his cheek, everything but the bottom tip of the scar is hidden by his bangs. Anthony also has two wrap around tribal tattoos just under where T-shirt sleeves would lie.
Clothing: Super casual. The man goes for comfort, not style and is usually caught in a plain, solid colored T-shirt and well-worn blue jeans. More often than not, the jeans have a hole in one or both knees.
Accessories: Various ear piercings running up both ears, mostly small hoops.
Personality: Anthony is a hard working guy who puts everything he’s got into every job he’s hired to do. From tiny repairs to full blown projects, he does everything he can to finish the job efficiently and correctly. He loves working with his hands, and he especially likes working out of doors. Many people think of him as quiet and laid back, and he usually is, but Anthony is simply slow to anger. If one actually succeeds in setting the man off, they could very well have a fight on their hands. He’s very loyal to and protective of his friends and family.
He is especially protective of the little whirlwind that suddenly appeared in his life. The only person allowed to irritate his little dust is him. And if anyone tries to hurt her, he’d be on them like ugly on a warthog.
Habits: He’s a coffee drinker. Every morning at 7am sharp, Anthony must sit outside in his backyard and have his cup of coffee. Woe to the person who interrupts this ritual.
Hobbies: Music. Anthony loves his music and plays two instruments: the guitar and the piano. He’s exceptionally proud of his skills as he is completely self taught and rather good at both. One of his favorite activities is playing his guitar while sitting in front of the fire. He only plays as a pastime, though, he doesn’t want to play professionally, it is just a way to unwind at the end of the day and it helps him think.
Philosophies: “If it doesn’t affect me or mine, it’s not my problem.” Basically Anthony is cool with whatever decisions others make(barring horrible ones like murder and the like) so long as those decisions don’t have a negative impact on himself, his family, or his friends.
Likes: Coffee, music, relaxing, Nebi, irking and startling his dust and making her puff up
Dislikes: Bitter foods, people who can’t seem to think for themselves
