Onos In general, it feels toss was shafted. The only thing I really like is giving the nexus recall and phase cannons. Toss air is still kinda gimp, and other races are getting good counters to toss specific things. If the viper grab stays past beta, I have little faith in blizzard anymore. That is WAAAAAY too game changing considering toss is sorta rules by timings, and getting a key units grabbed OUT of position with nothing I can really do about it is really bad for toss. Terran is getting warhound, does extra vs air light (as if phoenixes were that good in pvt outside of specifics) and extra vs mech. A vast majority of toss is mechanical... Battle Hellion... Nuff said. New thor is a-move extravaganza. Shredder is just really good. Zerg is getting burrow charge to get in range easily, viper is a really good counter to most toss things with the cloud and grab. Meanwhile, we're losing mothership AND carrier, getting a placebo air ship for a late game problem that won't really fix mass muta (he can just, you know, avoid the slow thing), and the air harassment is ok at best, but it costs way too much to ride on a maybe... Replicant is a joke. They acknowledge that protoss has problems countering certain things, so instead of giving them the counters, they are forcing us to rely on other races as a crutch. I want a real protoss unit to handle my issues. If I wanted infestors, I would play zerg. If I wanted banshees, I'd play terran. I want PROTOSS units. Besides, there is no way fungal storm is getting past beta... =/ Just my 2cents on hots expo. D= I really hope the Viper stays with all its goodies. The grab ability has just as many defensive applications as it does offensive. Maybe bring its range down a bit so it's offensive use is limited to capturing a fleeing Colossus as opposed to sniping them at the beginning of the battle. And Fungal Storm better get past beta. We finally get our Dark Swarm back. That's something we really need considering the majority of our units are melee or melee range. Consider this: Marines counter Banelings, the very unit Zerg has to counter Marines. That's more than a little ******** up.

From what I understand Fungal Storm does no damage, just like Dark Swarm, and is a Zerg spell. Or are you talking about a Replicant taking the form of a Viper to get use of the spell?

ZvT -- 15hatch + drone scout (so you send out 2 drones at 15)
if scout not 2rax, then gas at pool 30-40% if 2rax, no gas, pull drones and micro like a boss while making some lings and queens. if it's 2rax and you try to get gas, expect to lose.
if reactor hellions, warren as soon as pool is fin and make 2-4 roaches. if you make 4 roaches, then i suggest getting meta asap and ling + roach pressuring as he tries to take his natural. this will delay his econ and sometimes outright wins games. this is semi-all-in, but at lower league levels if you macro better under duress than your enemy is, semi-all ins or all ins can shift in your favor even if they don't do the required damage.
if he stops hellion production at 4 hellions, banshees are coming next 99% guaranteed
if not reactor hellions, then it's fast expo build so econ hard and ramp scout to get an idea of his tech. overlord sac if needed.

ZvP -- 14e14p. never 15hatch in ZvP unless you are metagaming in a tourney or something, it will 100% lose to FFE cannons by your hatchery.
if 1gate expo, he will nexus at 4:40-5:00 and ur safe to drone if 3gate expo, he will nexus later and you need roach ling + creep spread started to deal with it. creep spread optional, prioritize proper macro. if FFE, take a 3rd at 4:40-5:00 and scout for his tech. blind evo + warren at 6:45, blind spore at every base. drone until 8:00 - 8:30 then make units. if he's going air, more queens will be good. you can gauge his tech by his sentry count and gasses taken

ZvZ -- 14e14p is a solid build to learn the mechanics/micro of ZvZ. it will not lose to any cheese and it can catch up to 15h. i favor speedling expand, which involves producing nonstop lings (but hiding most of them until meta is done) and expanding as soon as you can afford a hatch (pull drones off of gas after meta is done)
