 The Justice Building The Justice Building is where the citizens can go to get married or take tesserae. Also where the winners of the games stay and have dinner during the victory tour.

A door clicked shut. My mind came back to present day.I looked up and saw A lady who must be between the ages of 30-40 come out of the room and make her way to the stairs.I thought to myself this must be who i can ask about getting the tesserea.I stand up and i blew a piece of straggling hair out of my face.Almost forgetting to grab the food i bought. As The lady made her way down the stairs i picked up my food and put them in my backpack so i would not forget to bring them home.
The Lady came my way with a half hearted smile on her face. "Hello Miss....um Miss." I chirp in befor she have to ask."Bloodheart,Elizibeth Bloodheart." I say with a edge to my voice not likeing the way this lady thinks she knows every ones names. "Well what can i do for you today Miss Bloodheart."There was a edge to her voice at my name Bloodheart but i dont care if i insulted her she insulted me first with the Half hearted smile and pretending to know my name. I look her dead in the eye a intimidation technique i Learned from my father to help me get what i want."I want to sighn up for tesserea."
The Lady sighed."Do you have permishion from your father this year."She said alittle nicer then her last remark.But i of course dont like what she implying that i am to young to decide by myself."I am 13 for crying out loud if i am old enough to be elidgable to go in the hunger games i think i can be able to feed my family with tesserea."At least whats left of my family i say to my self so only i can hear it.You can tell by her face she didt see it coming."well ok then how many."I reply back "two please"giving her some niceness to her."Ok Elizibeth Bloodheart 3 tesserea. Sighn here so we can copy your signature and put them in the bowl."I sighn. then i excit the Building and head home.

I looked around as every one started to dispatch waiting to see Ginger.Then I saw her being herded away into the Justice building.I followed.The peacekeepers had me state my name and relation to Ginger I did.I lied and said I was her best friend. They let me threw there was like 10 peacekeepers guarding the one door.After they unlocked the 5 locks on the door they let me in.I came In and as I did I let out a huge huff getting all my thoughts in my head of what I whanted to say.When I came in i saw Ginger on the couch a little surprised by me coming in look on her face.Right before she had a chance to say anything in which I can tell she was going to I said the first thing I whanted to say."Elizibeth.Elizibeth Bloodheart is my name."knowing that almost know one knows her name even thoe she knows almost every ones name based off that map I have a again.I smiled and for the first time since I was 7 I showed some kind of feeling.I looked around at the place."You know you can win this thing."Ginger smiled back at her and I couldt help feeling like she kept looking at my shoes.I knew why."Yes there cleet shoes I made them with exsses knife particales and wood chips."
Ginger said that I didt have to come and I knew I didt."You know you and zero are the first two people in awhile that I actually liked and had fun with.The door opend up again and the peacekeeper took me away before the door closed I said."Remember make it out for me so I can get to know you and for your sister she Is lonly you know."She saw Ginger nodded and smile the biggest smile Ive ever seen in district 12. And i stuck that memory in my head and for the first time I will actually pay attention to the games.I was sent out of the building and I sat there seeing who else Is coming for Ginger I saw her two sisters enter and hoped they get more time with her.
❞[/ GINGER ICECRYSTALGinger waited for like what seemed to be a hour but it was only 2 minutes then the door was getting unlocked Ginger sprung up hopeing it was her sisters when the door open it wast.Ginger tilted her head a little bit it was that kid what was she doing here.I was about to open my mouth"w" when The kid spoke and told me her name.now i finally new her name I nodded.Then the kid smiled and said I actualy could win this game I have been telling myself that but there was also dought. Now I actually started to beleive it since she said that.I thought about her smile that was a first time ever I saw that kid I mean Elizibeth show emotion at all. Just then I knowticed she started to knotice me Looking down at her shoes and she guessed that she was looking at them and wondering so the kid told me how to make that i stuck that in my head remembering.Then I said"You really didt have to come Your gonna feel even worse If I dont win now that you came". There was a akward pause then the peacekeepers came in to take her.She nodded and went on about how me and zero were her first friends in awhile and how she must win this for her and my sister.I then heard how my sister Is lonly and it gave me something I didt know about maya and how i should come back.For the information and to make Elizibeth feel better i gave her a nod and a big smile.I cought her eyes for one more second then the door closed.5 minutes later my two sisters came In and I ran to them and hugged them.Tight.

Thomas waited for Tal to come visit him. What the hell am i going to do? Should I let myself die in the arena? No, I need to win. I need to win so that I can Get closer to Tal and make things better between me and Zero. Oh, man I've made a mess of things in the last few days. Thomas shook his head. Why? Why did this happen to me? NO! Stop thinking like this! You wanted this! You wanted to show the people that not everyone can be brainwashed by the capital.

But my legs were shaking. My hands were searching Always searching Talia watched Thomas head into the Justice Building and then everyone began to file out of the center. Tal made her way up to the Justice Building and waited to see Thomas. The Peacekeepers led her to a room. They told her three minutes and then she was pushed inside. She saw Thomas and ran into his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck. She buried her face into his collarbone and tried to prevent tears from overflowing and running down her cheeks."Oh Thomas. You have to win. You have to win for me. Fight your hardest. Survive and then we'll be able to see each other again. And don't go towards the Cornicopia. You know it's always a blood bath. Get something at the edge and then run. Run until you can't breathe and the hide. I know you'll want to fight but don't go searching for one. It's just trouble."Without thinking, Tal brought her hands down and cupped Thomas' face. She brought her lips to his and kissed him. It was a deep and gentle kiss. And with her eyes closed, Tal saw fireworks. She stayed like that for a moment before pulling away and then pulling the locket off of her neck and pressing it into Thomas' hand. She looked at him, waiting for his reaction to everything that had just occured.

Thomas wrapped his arms around Tal. He listened to her tell him not to fight. Then she kissed him. It was not something he expected, but he liked it and he kissed her back. "Listen to me Tal. I don't know if I'll be able to not fight. But I will try. I will do my best and I will try to come back to you. I promise." He took the locket and put it in his pocket. "I will not look at what is inside until I am in the arena." He wrapped his arm around her and held her tight until the Peace-keepers came to get her. "I will win and I will see you again." He said as they ushered her out of the room.

He would fight for her, just like she knew he would. And she would be watching every second to make sure that he came home to her. The Peacekeepers began to usher her out and she struggled against them. Finally, she ripped free and ran back into Thomas' arm, kissing him one more time before she willing left with the Peacekeepers. She walked outside the Justice Building and starred at it for awhile before walking home.

Yesterday me and my sister decided I would take out the tesserea for our family this year and she will not double dip and take out more like we usually do so we have less chance of one of us and by one I mean all of us getting picked..This year would be the quarter quall they were so excited to ancouce it that it is happening before the victor interveiw Which surprisingly was a district 12 female tribute who won and district 3.Sighning my name on four slips I figured we had a lesser chance of getting in since there are more boys then girls.Lucky for us if we do go in there is only two of us and we can both make it out alive.Any one who gets called with 2 sisters well they are screwed.Still only 2 victors can win.With my hoody up I sighned my name 1 more time and this was for myself.I nodded at the lady instead of a thanks so I did not have to talk and walked off.Putting my shades on which I actually found in the forest who knows who could afford shades so mine as well not search for the owner.Opening the door I walked down the stairs passing my sister I saw her walk up my head faced her I felt like yelling at her to not go in there she delibertly is taking out tesserea but my shyness got the best of me I kept on walking down the stairs with my head turned back.Getting home was hard I sat down and sighed then I settled my head on my arms which were on the table. I rubbed my forehead and thought about how Danny should have listened to me.I could not blame her she was probrably just worried about us surviving the year with food I should blame myself for not being heroic and brave enough to get pass my fear and tell her to not.When Danny came in I ran to her hugging her."How will we survive if we get picked?"I said wanting to yell at her but could not get the nerve to yell at her for being caring about her family so I said what will happen.

Danny yawned, as she walked down the streets and to the Justice building. Signing up for tesserea once again, completely ignoring the decision made by her brother, that he would take tesserea this year. 'He decided, I never agreed. Besides, we need this so we won't starve.' She thought, as she passed by her brother by as he was leaving. 'Whoops, guess he knows now. Oh well.' She smirked, as she saw him turn around from her peripheral vision. Walking inside she began signing her name on four slips of paper, then quickly turning them over to the lady behind the counter. As soon as she came, she left and quickly left for home. Relaxed and prepared to be lectured, she instead received a hug from Kevin. "Because I get to go if we get picked!" Danny smirked, condescendingly. "I mean, come on. Both of us can fight, hunt, and we cover each other's weaknesses. We'll be fine." Danny smiled.

SI hung on to her shoulders and looked down at danny stepping back but my hands still on her shoulders as she explained.I shook my head sometimes she could be as arrogant as anything." True we are good.But it does not mean we are good enough."I frowned remembering that no matter how good the careers will always be better and not to mention there is no way both of our luck will be good as that kid who won this year who clearly was just luck from district 12."Danny I love you but sometimes you can be a real pain."I let go of her turning my eye contact away and put my boot on the chair.I tied my shoe then put my other foot up and tied that one.I went to a closet and grabbed myself a bookbag or hunting bag I should call it and straddled it to my back."Come on Danny time to get food on our plate and perhaps test our capabilities in case a unfortunet situation happens and one of us and for the quarter quall both of us gets pulled into the games."I reached down and threw her her slightly faded and muddied red bag which was her hunting bag.Our parents never wanted us hunting and if they got questioned they never wanted to know for the sake of not lieing to the capitol so our "hunting bags"(inproper quotes) are very old book bags we got from tesserea in past years that we no longer use to not confirm their parents suspicions.

Danny childishly pouted, when Kevin called her a pain. "I wouldn't worry about it too much, I mean if that Ginger kid won, why wouldn't we be able to win?" She asked. Catching her muddied red 'book bag', she slung it over her right shoulder, and took her hunting boots out from the closet. Tightly tying the boots on, one after another. "'Kay, let's go 'shopping'. Danny laughed, as she used her own term for hunting.

KEVINHourglassI shook my head as danny puted then retorted back.I was not gonna remind her that this was a quarter quall and there can be anywere from 2 times as many kids to 5 or even more not to mention it was just luck.I grabbed my favorite weapon out of my bag it was a jaged kitchen nife sharpen to be like a short sword.I wiped off the blood from the last hunt scratched it against a rock then put it in my bag.Watching as danny put on her hunting boots I watched then she said lets go shopping and I gave a quick smirk.I really was not a social guy so when my sister comes up with co words for hunting or something else ieleagal in the capitols eyes it surprises me even though she may have used that more then a few times but still Danny tended to be the one to teach me how to use social lingo.I reached down to the floor and grabbed my hunting bag.Putting it on my back using both straps which was not exsacly cool but I did not care it tend to keep people from talking to me.I watched as danny put her hunting bag on with only one strap on her arm while the other one hung loosly.That is normal fro any one above age 10 to do that with their bag and I was glad that My shyness did not get in the way of dannys social life.I nodded and opened the door stepping outside I looked up in the sky once again it was cloudy today not raining but still.Putting my hoodie up on my head then taking out my sunglasses I put them on.It was normal for me to do that weather it was sunny or cloudy I did not like making eye contact.Once danny stepped out I shut the door behind her tieing the string a certain way like a key exsept people can sometimes figure out how we tie it and get in our house still.Looking at danny through the shades I nodded and we walked down the dirt pavement reaching the meadow.
