"Isn't it?" The voice comes through the shadows, the shape of the lion that goes with it outlined primarily by his briliant red eyes and the more brilliant white blaze of his mane. The rest of his body, save for the largely covered mark on his chest, is an deep grey black like the shadows, and if he'd sooted his mane, he'd be near invisible. Sharp contrast to most of the mistweavers, who largely ran toward delicate soft greys like Denge's main body, with brushes of white and an dusty clay-red, like Enki's mane. "You'd think I'd have an easier time trying to think of what might things more comfortable for my mate." He chuckles, stepping into the dappled light. "You smell a little like Ithi, are you a freind of hers?" He says cautiously. He has good reason to be cautious. The Mistweavers have historicly been a peaceful, mystical tribe, but twice in the past, once with the massecre by the Firekin...and more recently, as their numbers began to grow again...by the savage and profoundly mad Nyekundu, for whose death Ramses prayed through clenched fangs. It was becoming clear that they'd unquestionably have to become stronger...somehow...and including warrior skills from the outside, such as those that Enki had learned...were a good promise. So too was the idea of keeping much better track of who came in and out of their lands, so as to know who to consider a threat.

"Sorry...I didn't mean to alarm you..." He offers, sitting down on his haunches so as to appear less threatening, at least so much so as an strange, grown lion can look 'less threatening'.
"My name is Ramses." He offers, twitching one ear at the mention of Ithi having lead others here. "I'm afraid I haven't met these others...did she happen to at least introduse them to Maji or Enki?" He asks, his expression conserned.
Ithi had been on a form of 'probation' for a while, to be absoloutely certain that she was safe to allow to stay. Although young, and largely innocent, sometimes the young Lioness had an amazing knack for saying the wrong thing, to the point where it could make even the usually plasid and even keeled Maji become tempermental. Maybe all young people were like that...but either way...they'd been wary of strangers since Nyekundu.
"Anyway..." He flicks his ears with amusement...eyes sparkling with good humor. "Looks like whatever the case you didn't come alone..." He nods to her growing belly. "My brother and his mate had cubs recently...seems to be going around." He says, amused, though looking a bit distracted. "Must be something in the air."

Ramses looks startled at this question and then amused again, beaming with amusement. "She's fine! She even let me see the cubs, it's really amazing...one of them even has markings a little like mine. Sorta drives home the fact that I'm an Uncle now..."He says, eyes flashing. "And going to be a father. No, pregnancy doesn't mean you die...if it did I think we'd be in a lot of trouble...newborns cant eat meat...and well...males can't nurse cubs..." He stands up again, shaking out his mane. "I'd like to introduse you to Maji before I offer you a tour, he's the head of the Mistweavers now...but I wouldn't mind meeting your companions. Is your mate with them?" He asks, wondering if the young female has found a mate yet, to be with cub, or if it was, as it were, a one night stand.

Misunderstanding partially the reasons behind her cringe, Ramses does his best to reasure Denge. "It's alright, it's not a requirement you know..." He says, comfortingly. "Certainly, lets go meet them...then I'll find Maji, he's very nice. Although he's a bit strange, he doesn't eat much red meat, he -talks- to them instead. I've never quite understood it."
