I was born into the Grieco pack. My mother was also a jaguar. My father was always a nameless man that we never spoke of. In fact, my mother and I rarely ever spoke to each other. When I grew up there was a different sort of pack. Hardly any of the current members were there when I was around. It was a small pack, but we weren't exactly close nit. Everyone respected everyone's space.

When I was four my mother got pregnant again. Whether or not it was by the same man, I never asked. There wasn't time. The earlier leader would hear nothing of her keeping the baby. There were already too many of us as it was, and there was no more room for another baby. He was inconvenient. It didn't sound believable and they went outside to talk. They were gone for a long time, and by the time mother came back, she was hysterical. Blinded by her fury, my mother packed up all of our stuff and we left. We moved from city to city while she was pregnant. Not once did she mention the Grieco pack again. We were what would be considered homeless. Sometimes people would take us in for a little bit, because of mother's condition.

One night we were on our own. Sitting on the bench in the park she went into labor. She instantly went into her jaguar form to give birth. I could only watch from a distance, not wanting to be close to her. I watched as the baby finally emerged. Mother took one look at it and a mournful cry escaped her mouth. I still won't ever know if it was the sight of the baby or the fact that it never moved. She died soon after. As it happened, it was a mix of another shifter. It was a monster. That was why we were exiled. It was all I could do to hide the bodies until they were nothing but skeletons. These I buried in the woods not far away.

Being on my own at such a young age wasn't what you would expect. It was hard to hide the fact that I was homeless. I couldn't ever let anyone take me in. They would see what I really was. Finally, when I was six I decided that I needed to return to the Grieco pack. Whether or not they would take me in, I would not know. Maybe when they heard about mother.. I never made it there. Instead I wandered into the Xammar pack. For some reason or another they took me in. I've been with them for the last twenty years. I've never met anyone of the Grieco pack.
