Twenty-four years ago, I was born into the South Pack and I can't say I've ever left it. It's the only family that I've ever known. I don't see myself every leaving or betraying it. My father was a warrior before me. I'm not exactly sure who my mother was. A rogue, maybe. Whenever the topic was brought up it was just as quickly dropped again by dear old dad. Unfortunately, a few years ago he lost a fight with a lycan from the North pack and was killed. Guess there are things I'll never know. Not that trivial things such as that bother me now a days. There are more important things that occupy my mind.
Being my father's son, it would have been unacceptable to be anything other than a warrior. He was one of the best in his days. Whenever I was younger we spent countless hours training together. There wasn't a day that went by that we didn't. It was a way of life, though it distanced me away from a lot of the other pack members. He said it was for the protection of the pack. He was always very particular about the fact that we were doing this for the pack. I would like to think that he was doing it for my own well being, though I can't say for sure.
Whenever I turned seventeen was the chance I had to move my rank up. There was a fight with another warrior from the North pack. He had come over on our territory, and at the time I held no rank. I had been out, doing nothing, actually, when I happened across him. It was a long and intense battle, that I held on my own. He was killed, and I was granted the rank of a warrior. Something I wear with pride, because really, I don't have much else.
