Guys! Can we calm down and not snap at each others heels? Believe me. I love DMS and I love that we have a new area, but I've been grinding for several hours now without even being able to make it past a couple of rooms, so I'm inclined to take Kayi's side on this. confused
I just wish they had scaled the enemies in a more fairer manner. If DMS really is 40 levels deep, they could've started the vamps and wolves at cl10.5 at the very least and then uped them by .2CL or so every couple of caves that we went deeper in so that it actually feels like we're making progress each time? Being stomped by a CL11.5 Night fright in the very 3rd or 4th room is hardly a fair challenge. Perhaps it is in a Jack spawn where you have hundreds of users around but not so much when you're in a crew of just 6 people. razz
The only reason I'm not mad at this or have complained so far is because I believe in what JK said about it having to be ridiculously tough so people don't blow through the game within a week or so. 3nodding

Scobre All I can say is that I love dms even though it is using up all my hoarded powerups. Buffs, armor, and debuffs are important in there. Well we've had it easy in zOMG! so far, so about time we've had a challenging stage. Now do you all understand why s2 wants new rings and powerups for the area? I don't even care I'm not making much gold, it's so much fun. I love parts of DMS. The sudden re-emergence of long forgotten Knife Sharpen and Adrenaline Rush is actually kinda cool... And that alone has caught a large portion of my interest in keeping me coming, despite the bloat. I guess the biggest reason I am complaining is because I really hate the stinging sensation of "haha these guys are bigger CL than you" again, after our whole fiasco with CL20.x enemies. Silk Kanishk Guys! Can we calm down and not snap at each others heels? Believe me. Though I was a bit over the top to toss out a few of those complaints ahead of time, overall, the lasting issue I have is a sound one I believe. But as I said... I do kinda enjoy that we're dusting off old, forgotten rings (Adrenaline and Knife Sharpen... Turtle still sucks rofl ) And I've already posted a guide for early DDC grinding in the z!F. Anyhow, I'm being quiet now about the complaints I've already levied. They speak for themselves to anyone who's willing to listen to them with open ears.

About your four levels deep comment, I think JK actually said that the maze had 40 different rooms, but Kamilia could come in any room. I dunno, maybe I'm mixing up what JK said with what some other people assume -read one too many DMS threads sweatdrop But I love DMS, so either way, I love it as it is emotion_kirakira pwetty art is pwetty~

I thought you had to go through the snake chamber behind Deva. confused

Thanks for posting the guide, that's awesome of you to do. Believe me, once you get too about 10.4cl, it becomes easier. Just takes a whole lot of patience I'm sad to say. Next ring I'm leveling is sweetheart. heart

Really? What was the point then of having it temporarily sealed when you can just waltz in to the other entrance? confused

Scobre Thanks for posting the guide, that's awesome of you to do. Believe me, once you get too about 10.4cl, it becomes easier. Just takes a whole lot of patience I'm sad to say. Next ring I'm leveling is sweetheart. heart I think that's an oddity about myself. I can criticize and nitpick things I like more easily than things I don't. Or maybe not so much... It feels like it's easier to see flaws in things that you focus in on and want to mess with, and they always seem to stand out more harshly because of this. You're totally accurate about the CL boost. Just getting from 10.0 to 10.1 is a huge boost even. It's because of the way CL scales your damage. Every 0.1 difference is 5% adjustment. That means 10.0 vs 11.0, you only do 50% of your attack damage, but you take 150% damage in return. Getting that 0.1 boost to 10.1 raises your attack damage to 55%... a whopping 10% increase. By the time you get to 10.4 total CL, you're doing 70% damage and only taking 130%. That... that's a huge difference. It's why every time I have a 10.0 in my crew, as soon as they get their first 30 shadow orbs, I insist they upgrade at the first chance they get (30 orbs is exactly how many it takes to go from 10.0 to 10.1). ... I may have to add that to the guide for first timers. (just added it)

I just checked and you can't take the entrance behind Deva yet. I assumed it would open once you completed the "kill 20 monsters" quest but apparently not. I guess this means there's a lot more to DMS than i previously thought. eek

I'm liking dms very much. And it's not really that hard with a good crew. biggrin
But there's the problem - so hard to find a good crew that works well together and has several hours to play.
I spend 3 times a s much time seeking replacement crew as I do playing. rolleyes

Okay. I just crewed with a bunch of people who totally aggroed their way past every vamp, wolf, etc etc. My point is... Aggroing is srsly annoying! For rlz!!! Is this is the only way the game could have been made challenging? confused
