Call her Ava. Female. 24 years old. Born February 10. Japanese-American. Blood type A. Likes boys and girls. Smokes too much. Loves ice-cream. Freelance editor.

◄ Daughter of the Night - Ava loves the night life. There is something about the social atmosphere of bars that draws in her in. Here you can bump into random people and have the best conversations. And people are so boozed up that they tend to be a little more fun. Better yet, you can hang out with someone all night, have a great time and then never see them again. No attachments. Ava also enjoys dancing and the occasional karaoke night.
◄ Music - Ava breathes music. She often hums or sings to herself all times of the day, most of the time she doesn't realize she is even doing it. Having been exposed to music and the piano at a young age Ava has grown up with it in her life. She loves small local bands and live performances. She really misses playing piano though.
◄ Reading - Ava likes to read, to loose herself in a book or find interesting ideas or events from magazines. Like music, her tastes aren't limited to a few genera. She likes action and mystery novels best, but she also enjoys twists on modern stories. Craft and cooking magazines are a bit of an obsession of hers. She usually only buys old used issues at used bookstores, and lots of them.
◄ Hands-on - Crafting and very organic artsy things captivate Ava. She mostly uses found or extra materials, sometimes she will save up and buy some materials, but mostly she works with things she can find in garage sales or thrift shops. She isn't going to win an award for her paper flower garland or little hand-painted jars, but she enjoyed making them!

Flamboyant pink hair and thin lashed smoky eyes are Ava’s signature look. Her eyes are almond-shaped and a neutral grey. Ava is striking, with her long legs and thin body, but she lacks curves. She likes to wear a mix of punk styles with sort of girly fashion pieces. She loves boots and will often being wearing one of her many pairs.

While she isn't the most motivated person it doesn't take a lot to make her happy. Ava doesn't have much, mostly because she lacks the funds, but she doesn't need much. She values freedom much higher than material wealth. She'll take some ramen and cheap beer over some fine dinning any day. She doesn't stay with one place too long, except for her few favorite night haunts, or stay with the same people. Ava does fine on her own, but she doesn't mind company.
Ava isn't afraid to spark up a conversation if she is in the mood. She enjoys people's company and she even tends to make for good company herself. Ava is closed off about her personal history and feelings and will keep people at a certain distance. She is friendly enough and is an excellent listener though she isn't one for taking or giving advice. Actually she doesn't like taking help either, and hell will freeze over before she ever goes around asking for it. Ava takes pride in herself and she can get really pissed if her pride is hurt. Ava is cool-headed and won't act on her anger......she will let it cool down a bit, it is best served cold after all. She tends to keep her temper in check and not sweat the small stuff. Ava likes to hold grudges, for a long time. She is very open toward others and their ways of thinking, as long as they don't try and change hers.
Ava is a passionate soul if you look past her defiance and closed off nature. She enjoy music, and while rock is her favorite, you will find her tastes span all generas. She is a bit of a rebel, she likes to do things differently, even if it is harder and she doesn't do very well with authority figures, preferring her own way of getting things done.
◄◄ history
Ava’s father, David Ryan, was born and raised in Texas. He was a charming and handsome young man when he met Ava’s mother, Misu, on a business trip to Japan. He took his young wife back with him to America after they were married and lived there until the business expanded and he moved back to Japan. Ava has lived there most of her life.
Ava had a loving childhood, there is no doubt. Whatever Ava wanted she got, and perhaps she got too much. Ava’s mother stuck her in so many extra activities that Ava didn’t have the free time she wanted. Ava found her love of music here in probably the only class she liked that her mother forced on her, piano. She didn’t even want to do ballet or figure skating, but her mother wanted her too. And it continued till high school. Ava started to hang out with the wrong crowd, got herself in trouble constantly and found an outlet in drugs. She always was the trouble child, putting up a fight over everything, unlike her younger sister who seemed to enjoy the constant drum of activities and all eyes on her. Eventually Ava was stuck in a rehab where she found the time away from her family helped clear her head. She never returned home after that and left on her own.
Ava usually works from home as a freelance editor, finding work is hard and she lives paycheck to paycheck, but she’d take this over what she had. She reluctantly does her duties as a senshi. She doesn’t really see why she has to go around saving the world but she has the time to do it and so she does.

Senshi Bio ◄◄ pretty soldier sailor sardonyx◄ Senshi of Protection◄ "Try and break my defences!"◄◄ transformation◄ "Sardonyx Power!"◄ Uses a ring to transform. (picture pending)◄◄ fuku◄ Standard Sailor collar in white with one black strip down it. There is a smaller high ◄ Dark Melon collar attached to that one. One her bow is ◄ Dark Melon with her black shield crest in the middle. Her main fuku is a black dress, the skirt part is lop-sidded and rimmed in black ruffles. Just above the ruffles is a ◄ Dark Melon sash that ties into a large floor-length bow. She has a ruffled white skirt underneath this. She wears arm guards in black and rimmed in dark gold, and the same colored tall armored boots. She also wears a breastplate made in the same style. Her tiara is shaped like the barred eye-covers of a helmet but it rests on her brow. ◄ Here ◄◄ weapon◄ Shield (name pending)◄◄ attacks◄ 1 - Shield Pummel Sardonyx braces the shield against her body and runs at the enemy. Depending on the size of the enemy it can cause knockdown and/or knockback. ◄ 1 - Protection Sardonyx pushes the bottom of her shield into the ground in front of her and bubble of energy surrounds her (and anyone behind her in the small radius). It can block minimal damage, usually used for blocking AOE attacks against her or her allies. This takes a toll on Sardonyx if over-used.◄ 2 - Break Sardonyx, using both arms, tosses her shield at an enemy, it becomes like a boomerang, hitting the enemy and then returning back to her. During that time thought she is without a weapon and vulnerable.◄ 3 - Cage An upgraded version of protection, it forms a cage of energy bars around a target or targets, friend or foe, to help protect them against damage for a short time. The person in the cage is unable to move from it or do any attacks. She can use it to keep someone in or keep them out. Once a certain amount of time elapses or it takes enough damage it will break. Requires a bit of her consentration which leads her to balancing two things, the cage and whatever else she is doing.
