Give and receive in this thread! What better time of year to have a gifting thread then during Christmas!
For those of you unsure of what Anon Gifting entails, it's rather simple. 3nodding You post in this thread in hopes that some will give you some random item or you find someone to give a gift to. If you ask for something specifically, someone may or may not gift it, but most likely, people will send a small wishlist item or something they think you might like.
Rules:
*Follow Gaia's TOS as always.
*This is a gifting thread, but please don't outright beg.
*Don't complain either. Whether or not you receive an item can be based on many things; not everyone can get what they want.
*Being friendly is not an option. Seriously, who wants to donate something to someone that's being rude?
*You are not required to give anything. But giving is fun and what keeps this place running!
*You don't have to have a wishlist, but a public one would help immensely if you want someone to get you something you'd like.
How to Anonymously Gift:
*If you want an anonymous gift, you must allow random gifts first!
*To allow anon gifts click on My Gaia and then click the arrow by the gear icon to get the drop-down menu. Click on Preferences. In the section on the right side, there should be an option called "Receive Gifts from:" and choose "Everyone" in that drop-down menu.
*To open your received gift, you can click on the link given to you in the PM that [NPC] Rina(?) sends or you can see it in the "Special" tab of your inventory. Click on it, and then choose the Open option to see what you got.
*When sending someone a gift, the item must obviously be in your inventory. Go to your inventory page (not the equipping page) and click on the item you want to give someone. When the item's description box pops up, click on the "Gift Item" button (don't click on the "donate" button - that will put it in the Dumpster Dive). On the following page, you can choose a wrapping, enter the username of whom you want to gift the item to (be sure it's spelled correctly!), and add a message if you'd like (adding a message about THE Charity Event anon gifting thread would probably be a good idea so that the receiver knows what it's from).
*IMPORTANT! To make the gift anonymous, you must check-mark the box under the message section. It asks if you want to send the gift anonymously so that they won't see your username.
*Click submit when you're finish, verify the information is correct on the next page, and then click on YES! at the bottom to give the final confirmation. If you don't click YES! and leave the page, the item will not have been sent.
This is open now! Gifting might not happen until December or closer to the event, but you're still welcome to post.
