It's been such a boring week... Nothing interesting to think about, nothing to do... Nobody to manipulate...Utterly unintriguing. Vira tapped the ground quietly with one of her hooves, and then tossed her beautiful, wavy mane. She sighed, and then stretched slightly before setting of at a slow, easy trot. She hadn't given herself a good trot in a while, and she felt she needed to keep moving, and she thought better in motion rather than standing still...While she trotted quietly, she ran battle tactic scenarios in her head. It kept her sharp.

Jacques moved slowly more out to see if there was a soul out there to recruit for the herd. He wasn't hungry for once having already fed on some poor azreth this night. The fresh blood still lingered on his lips he cared not to wipe it away. Any that would join him, would do so either out of fear or admiration for his power.
Jacques looked over the fields just past the forest line which he intended to claim as his. This would be his border line and he was already feeling protective over it. And just in that moment of thought he spotted a figure in the distance. Would they be friend or foe? He would soon find out.

Vira frowned slightly, and lifted up her head, scenting the air slightly as she felt the wind pick up slightly. Was that...yes, yes it was. The faint scent of blood smacked her nose, and Vira turned slightly, slowly. There...There was somebody watching her. He smelled like he had blood on him somewhere, fairly fresh, too...Perhaps he was one of those that did not like humans, either, and had kicked one hard enough to do some real damage. Based on that theory, Vira trotted closer, slowly, scanning for ways to outrun this stranger, should he prove foe. She was not overly strong, after all. "Who are you?" she murmured softly, stopping a good thirty feet away, and watching him closely, her yellow eyes narrowed slightly.

Jacques turned his red eyes upon the mare that came closer to him. She seemed to be keeping her distance which was wise for a normal mare such as she. He could since her blood pulsing but it did little for him as he was already well fed. Jacques simply smiled showing off his fangs before starting to head down the little hill between them'
"I am Jacques Deshoulières. And who are you my dear?" Jac said in a deep and calming voice. She was at the very least out at night, so perhaps she could be of like mind.

"My name is Vira..." she spoke softly, eyes narrowing on his fangs. "Aren't you a bit old to be playing with those dull fangs?" she taunted a bit, to see how he'd react and calculate a way to deal with him. She did not like his voice- it was calibrated to soothing prey, it felt...Like how wolves sometimes 'sang' to foals who lost their way with the herd. Still. She sidestepped lightly, keeping the distance the same, but giving the illusion of getting closer.

Jacques laughed less easily edged on when full. "Shall I show you how dull they are my dear? " He cued tilting his head in a curious manner. "I've already fed, but if you want to play I can oblige though...." He looked her over again. "I rather not harm your beautiful coat." Jacques turned slightly making the gap between them large not smaller. "What is your game Vira? It's clear you can tell what I feed on, so why try to pull my strings." Jacques purred to her.

Vira offered him a small smile as he moved away. "Game? This is no game. This is a computation. One in which I determine how dangerous to me you could be..." she chuckled softly before continuing. "Not much of one, at the moment, in my opinion..." He was smart, this one. Or maybe just clever? No matter. He was interesting. That's what mattered.

"I can be dangerous if I so feel the need, but I have already fed this night. Feeding tames my inner beast and makes me a more docile creature. So for right now less provoked I'm very safe to be around. Well for Azreth's anyways, rather I'm hungry or not I will still kill a human." Jacques said not really caring who knew about his hatred of humans.
"How about you little Vira? Can you be dangerous?" He said with a playful purr.

"Of course... Brains are often the tools that never dull...and humans are foolish beasts, are they not? They are always living in environs that they are not suited for, and then changing those environs, like a virus of sorts..." Vira sighed, rolling her shoulders as she gave him a lazy look, and a quiet grin. "Docile? I think a rattling snake would be less docile than you... Tell me. What is it that you're looking for here?"

Jacques suddenly had a glimmer of interest in his eyes as a reaction to her thought on humans. He turned on his heels and closed the gap between them but not in a threatening way.
"Perhaps...you....you see I'm forming a herd my little Vira. I'm looking for like minds and souls to recruit for it. Would you be interested in such a thing?" Jacques asked looking a bit excited he needed more members.

Vira gave her mane a bit of a toss at his sudden closeness, and studied him calmly. He looked excited, and honest enough about this. And she did not like being alone often. Plus, she knew that she would likely have foals in the future, and foals needed protection, and one mare alone could not protect much. Keeping that in mind, she turned to him, and gave him a grin. "I might be...What is the goal of your herd? Eradicating the humans?"

Jacques was starting to like the Vira, she was a bit playful in the way she spoke about things. He gave a flick of his tail and blew his bangs out of his eyes.
"That's part of it, but not our only goal. My personal goal is to make everyone in the herd stronger, faster, wiser. My next goal is to make our territory completely human free during the day and night. Next is for our herd to grow in size and thrive. Then I hope to rule the whole island some day I'm an ambitious little scamp aren't I. Don't get me wrong I wish to have a little fun along the way too." Jacques really didn't care who knew his plans he was immortal in his mind and his plan was more a list of events to come in the future.

"Ambitious and a bit over-confident...If you ask me..." Vira smirked slightly, and looked up and away briefly, into the sky, thinking and running through this in her head. It took a few moments, and she lowered her head, and she grinned at him. "Very well, Jac...I shall join your herd..." she smirked lightly.

"Perhaps but if one dreams, why not dream big?" Jacques said with a cocky little smile. He began to circle her as she thought about his offer. His ears perking upon her answer and he gave his mane and excited flick.
"Wonderful! Come I will take you to your new home." Jacques said giving her a friendly nuzzle before heading towards the forest.
