So before I head off to bed I tend to do my Vocaloid updating which is reading constantly about all there is that is updated with them, checking for new songs and simply just new facts. ((Small note! If you study before bed the facts will still be fresh in your mind because you'll be thinkin' about it before you go to bed and it makes it easier to remember the next day!)) I've found out something that was actually irritating to me. The artist who has created the character design for Bruno and Clara has received death threats because the characters are not made with an anime like style.
Now if you look at the other English vocaloids they started out with a more American like design or simply just an image of a human being. Japanese vocaloids have more anime-style-esque drawings because... well that's simply the style of Japan. While I was oddly shocked at the quality of artwork for Bruno and Clara, I wasn't expecting them to have the same anime-esque look about them. If anything I think Clara looks good. I actually like her style. I mean you don't have to throw headphones on them and give them a more "bish" look about them. While their voices were an even bigger shocker than the art, I still say there was no need for the threats done because of the artwork.
I personally am okay with the character design. Although Bruno's random blue eyes... kinda threw a curve ball at me. Then again there are probably some blue eyed Spanish people out there... I believe I know one but he's half German. Think his eyes are more grayish though... Blah look at me ramble on. Anyway I think the art work is fine and vocaloid fans need to chill out and stop expecting everything to be so anime-ish!
I say the death threats were completely uncalled for. I mean look how creepy Sweet Ann looks. It's not so much her face.. it's the fire behind her image that scares the heck outta me. But she's got some great songs out there and so does Bruno and Clara. While I do listen to a lot of Korean music, I listen to just about everything else as well. (( Actually a big fan of Russian music! )) But really. Share some thoughts with me! I don't think they should redo the character design. Spanish singing vocaloids... should not look so... anime-esque and I also believe it's not a requirement for them to have headphones stuck to their ears.
(( Sorry for my ranting. I'm quite irritable on sleeping medications! Can't sleep without them though! ;D ))

I completely agree with you momo , vocaloid has nothing to do with anime. It's a computer program ,the first vocaloids didn't ever have box art because the producers wanted the users to use there imagination , but apparently that to much to ask for.
Also I will never understand why anime fans are such conformist , I mean i use to feel that they would be the ones to be the most excepting , but now a lot of times they sicken me with there whole " if it isn't Japaneses its s**t " or "America can't do anything ,we suck"attitude.

Right-o, my good friend! We have great artist out here, great cartoons without the anime style and somewhat pleasing music. While I do hate mainstream music I know there's music from Japanese artists that I'm not so fond of. Sorry Koda Kumi but your sex appeal is too strong for me. But most vocaloid fans need to remember the first vocaloids weren't even Japanese, however it was the Japanese vocaloids who made them more popular.
