ok, so back to the lionel thing.

at the end when Lionel is watching the video of clark running through the explosion and carrying lana, this is kind of what my impression was:

HE was the one who had the video in the first place. he just paid the other guy to act like he was the original blackmailer. he did this b/c he wanted the whole thing to work out the way that it did so that he could start getting on Martha's good side, probably because he still likes her.

On the other hand, his whole mention of Kal-El makes me wonder...is Jor-El still somehow possessing Lionel's body while still being able to act realistically like Lionel eek ? I suppose Lionel could have figured out Clark's real name if he looked long and hard enough in the right places (ie. Professor Swan's books) but my first impression was that he just had to still have Jor-El's presence in him. I don't know. What do you guys think?

First off stop called him "Jar-el" he is not a shampoo it is JOR-EL. and two no, Lionel was NOT being possessed by JOR-El

hey, we don't actually see the specific act of Lionel returning to normal after Jor-El uses his body as a "vessel." I'd always wondered why he suddenly became "normal" again because it wasn't explained. but i was just wondering if maybe Jor-El was still in there somewhere.

We know when he is being posessed when he is in the Fortress of Solitude or he starts talking to Clark or when has kryptonian symbols in his eyes. Jor-el does not need to be continuously possessing Lionel all the time. He knows what is going on and does not need a human passage to know it. Plus if Lionel WAS being posessed by Jor-el, WHY would he need to say "your Secret's safe with me Kal-el" Jor-el wouldn't tell anyone Clark's secret anyways, and Jor-el wouldn't need to see a tape to know what his son Can and Cannot do
