Cetus sighed. Ever since joining Team Galactic, she's been fleeing the law like a skillful Absol of the night. She wished to remain thus: a secret. Having her name kept on file was her greatest chagrin. If it was evident she existed and her name was known, she'd be a criminal in the minds of all cops of Zatao. They'd know her paths, know her weaknesses and worst of all, know of Team Galactic. How many fingers would it take to apologize for such a mistake?

But now, all those unwanted were created.

Cetus knew it was a stupid to steal from that computer store. She was caught in a steadfast manner, slapped with some handcuffs, and stripped of her Pokemon. Of course, she put up a fight. It wasn't in her manner to just give up. She lost, evident by her disheveled hair unloosened from its common bun, her uniform shredded and the little nicks bleeding from along her good arm. Her prosthetic limb shined in the afternoon sun and the sight of it left her in distaste. She was nothing more than a mess.

Higher-ups had constantly shouted no, but she did it anyway. Brownie points: that is all she was ever looking for. Now, her punishment (if she were to ever make it out of there) was probably a broken wrist. What fun.

Cetus sneered at the officer, wishing greatly to spit in that lawful good's face. "You'll get what's coming to you, copper." she snarled at the fuzz. "I'll find a way out of here." The precinct loomed like a giant safety deposit box. How would she get out of there?

She wish she could say that today's patrol was nothing out of the ordinary. That catching grunts was a routine thing and the attempted robbery at the computer store wasn't anything new. Unfortunately, it was a rare occasion to find a grunt openly committing a crime, and even rarer still to successfully apprehend them. At the first glance, she should be thankful that members of criminal syndicates weren't thieving and causing havoc left and right.

But Nyla knew the truth. The criminal syndicates on Zatao weren't exactly large enough to throw grunts on random and risky missions. They played their hands smartly, and most crimes were done in stealth. More importantly, they left little evidence of their existence. Anything left in the wake couldn't be used to prove that a Team had done this, much less which one. The grunt that Nyla helped apprehend today had done the police a favor by wearing her uniform.

"Save it for someone who cares." She replied to the grunt's threats. Normally most criminals would be silent on the ride to jail, or wear a mournful expression of regret. But this person was interesting. She fought on even though her hands were cuffed and behind her back. Still, it's not like that energy was going to help her escape. Even though capturing grunts was not a regular thing, the prison still had enough security to keep a helpless and Pokemon-less thug behind bars and out of sight.

Nyla stopped as she approached a guard station. The officer inside gave the slightest of nods and the gate opened to let the police car through. After about another minute of driving, she parked in front of the precinct and got out of the car. Her expression was blank as she opened the back doors and grabbed the grunt roughly by the arm. Nyla's faithful partner, Daybreak, followed the two humans as they walked into the building. She wore the usual Espeon stoic-ness on her face, but one could tell that the Pokemon was tensed up in case the woman tried any funny business.

Her glare never faltered, not once. She had to think a way out of this! As Cetus was dragged along via arm by the justice figure, she did her best to map the area. The front of the building certainly wasn't the greatest of places to consider her exit route, but she couldn't deny it was an option.

She kept her lips taut with silence, though she wished to retort a hefty, "You'll care when I bring your a** under." Their age difference was definitely large. While youth wore a proud medal on the opposite's woman face, Cetus' expression silently crinkled with a tinge of age. The sound of her scraping boots brought her gaze downward as she gave the Espeon scuttling next to her owner a sea stormed eye. She remembered that Eon . . . it was the same one that apprehended her legs when she successfully stole the Pokemon Center part.

Cetus thought of the thrill of pausing from her step to bring her foot down on the Psychic's spine, snapping it in two. Unfortunately, it remained but a thought and nothing more. Instead, she decided to have some fun taunting the utter s**t of the officer who brought her in.

"Is it true idiots become cops when their too dumb to work at a McDucklett's?" Cetus airily commented to know one in particular. Though it was quite obvious who's ears the words were for. "It seems evident, considering I'm walking with a gal who probably didn't even finish high school yet."

Nyla was used to insults. After all, if she took every nasty word that came out of every person's mouth personally, she wouldn't last long as a police officer. Though just because she was desensitized doesn't mean the verbal attacks stung a little bit. She was sorely tempted to trip her while she was walking, or retort back, but no reaction was the key. She couldn't give her the satisfaction that her petty words got to her.

So she didn't say anything and kept a blank expression on her face. But Nyla still couldn't mask her anger completely and her grip on the grunt's arm tightened a little bit. Daybreak noticed her trainer's frustration and let out a small hiss towards the offender. Normally she would shoot a glare at the Espeon for doing that, but covering up her Pokemon's mistake would look just as bad.

Cetus allowed herself the warmth of triumph with a smarmy little grin beneath the waves and thrashes of her brown curled hair. The tightening on her arm was the only signal she needed. No human is strong; not even when their face remains as plain and stiff as a Shellder shell. The Galactic grunt raised to see the doors to her locked up doom was just mere steps away. She couldn't deny her nervousness and panic than. Was this really where it would all end? Less than a month in the damned region called Zatao and she was going to be handed permanent stay behind bars for a simple snatch-and-run? Impossible. It was an absolutely possible thought. Maybe this was an induced hallucination from her drinking too much?

The answer was sort of a no when the trio stopped at the door and a little voice fuzzed up from the side speaker. "Officer, you're free to enter." the androgynous voice said as magnetic locks clicked loose off their hinges. The door swung open with an automatic shock to its system, allowing the bad gal, good cop, and trusty companion inside. Ah, this is where her days of three walls, a barred barricade, cement cot and always clogging toilet began. What a fun destiny to look forward too.
