So I had move away for a few months for work, but when I moved apparently I forgot my mouse, so I had to go out and buy a new one, and all they had were MMO mouses.

So I picked up a Razor Naga, and I ******** hate it. It's so hard trying to play with a different mouse, it's WAY too light, I keep overshooting just about every move I make, can't even tell you how many times I clicked the menu tab at the top of the screen by accident while trying to micro lings around a big protoss death ball.

I haven't been able to win, or even play at 50% of my typical ability as a result of changing mice, also having to sit at a different desk that is WAY too small for me, and sitting too close to my screen, giving me terrible tunnel vision, I actually can't believe how much of a difference this is making on my play right now.

I've had my mouse for 3 years so far. Lurve it. I dropped water in it at one point and time and it wouldn't work anymore. I let it sit overnight and perfectly fine the next day.

I kinda want a new mouse, but eh. I really want a new keyboard though. Even though I've pretty much memorized everything about this keyboard (had it pretty much just as long as the mouse).

When you mean tunnel vision, do you mean in game? Or irl. Like you tunnel vision into the game and don't see anything else? Or you tunnel vision on parts of the game, like the main screen but don't see your minimap?

More in the sense of a literal tunnel vision, it makes it harder to see the whole screen when you're this close, after being used to having it 3-4 feet away, and now at like 12-14 inches.

Ah. That might be my problem lol. I have a 26" or so monitor, and I'm maybe a foot or so away from it O.o. I find I end up losing track of my supply/minimap really easily at the game progresses. Maybe that's half the problem for me o.o

I could certainly seeing that being a problem, it's easier to catch things in your peripherals if you're further away from the screen, makes watching minimap a lot easier for sure, and I find it's easier also for watching your supply and money.

Hm. Well I'm kinda SOL unless I buy a new desk lol. I can't move my monitor back anymore without it falling off, and I can't go back from the desk any further or I can't reach my keyboard/mouse. V_V

I'm a big guy, so I like a heavier mouse. My sidewinder x8 seemed to be perfect for that, it's just really hard to changes mice, if any of you have ever gone over to a friends house or something and tried playing sc2 on their computer with their setup and everything, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

Different setups in general is hard to do, but once you change gear, you blow it all to pieces.

definitely is, i tried playing on my friend's computer who was using a 50 or 60" huge mac computer, a dvorak keyboard on grid hotkeys

needless to say it was like, -4 leagues of skill.

I love my grid hotkeys. Y = warpgates with grid lol. T = attack move was the hardest thing to change, but once you learn it, it's really easy.

@C4D, I currently have a sidewinder, but it is a wired variant of yours I guess. It's just called "Sidewinder" lol. And the only thing really different from ours are the buttons on the left. Mine are circle buttons, while the x8 looks more like paddles.

I also love being able to change the weight and having a mouse anchor. They have all the extra feet and weights in a box, and there is a little hole on the top side where you put the wire through, so it anchors the wire where the box is. I remember always having issues with my mouse wire falling behind my desk, and I had to keep pulling it back after a while. I haven't had to do that in years since I bought this mouse =p. I really <3 it and everything about it.
