 What looks more like a luxurious three story + double basement house than a simple cabin in the middle of the woods is where Freja and Alex decided to live after getting married, the woman still not understanding, perhaps due to how clueless she is on all life's matters, why her husband would prefer a "cabin" to his 4 bedroom house.... even though this one has twice that amount. Unlike when the Von der Bach sisters were living by themselves, the cabin is now relatively clean, or, well, the ground floor and the second floor are, at least. No one sane of mind would go in Lotte's booby trapped maze of a basement, or Queen's Charlotte's lair in the attic.
Alex and Freja's room are on the first floor, the man refusing to have to go any deeper in the cabin, while Maxine's and Xochiquetzal's are on the second floor. Lotte rules the basement, and the Attic is Queen Charlotte's lair, where one can also sometime find Arthur the rat, Boris the Frog, Catrina, Elliot and eve Eet.

Maxine didn't really remember why she had even bidded at the white day auction. She just knew that a lot of people were doing it and it felt like the right thing to do at the time, so she had used her only 5$ to bid on random people and had ended with one of her aunts Minion.... she wasn't sure it it was #1 or #2 however. Either way, she would be waiting for him on the rooftop. She liked rooftops. They were... rooftopy. She especially liked them now that she had decided to be a Cosmonaut. Ah, yes, she had threw the astronaut idea away, thinking that the Russians were much more better than their Americans counterparts. Either way, she wanted to go all the way up there!

As he walked up the stairs to the front door, something purple caught his attention. A little girl was sitting on the roof. He took the note Maxine had left from his pocket, and sure enough, he was supposed to meet her on the roof. ...Just exactly would he get up there? He couldn't see a ladder or anything... "Hello," he called up to the girl on the roof. "Are you Maxine? How did you get up there?" He was a scholar, not an athlete. So unless there was an elevator or a ladder, he didn't have much faith that he'd be able to make it up there easily.

As she heard a voice coming from down under her, Maxine raised her head higher, trying to see if the voice was coming from the sky. It only made sense that a voice coming from the ground was in fact being made in the air. Like her mama always taught her, the infinitive big was in the infinitival small, so it came to reason that what came from under was also coming from above. "Yes.... It's me.", she answered the mysterious voice coming from under-above. She would have preferred if it was showing itself, but she was used to have people talking around her without her seeing them. Xochi did it all the time, talking to the spirits surrounding them. "I got her.. by falling." Again, it only made sense that to go up, one had to go down, so she had jumped from her bedroom's window and landed on the roof! Sure, the giant circus trampoline in the backyard (don't ask how it got there, it involves Lotte) had bounced her back there, but her point remained.
