Home of Raiden and Zelynity Niami and featuring Haruka Koyama. A small brick house downtown, in the midst of everything. Zelynity, Raiden, and Haruka each spend far too much money on trivial things instead of ever fixing up the little house, so it remains pretty much exactly as it did the day the two Niami's bought it, with the addition of a tv and a few more paintings on the walls. From the outside, the house doesn't look very promising, but on the inside it's very elegant and charming.
Zelynity's Bedroom The slightly bigger of the rooms was claimed by Zelynity long ago, her poor brother lets her have whatever she wants. Zelynity wasted no time in decorating it very florescent, painting the walls a neon orange to match her dressers she brought along. Her bed is adorned in a sea foam green bed set and stuffed animals are scattered all over her room. She has a desk directly under her window, where she uses her laptop and does most of her artwork.
Raiden and Haruka's Bedroom Raiden and Haruka's room is a lot more conservative. The walls are a dark blue and bed set brown. He has lots of his sister's artwork framed behind the wall adjacent to his headboard. He's a little superstitious and somehow feels that they protect him while he sleeps.
Kitchen The kitchen, bar style and rather large. Fully equipped with appliances of all sorts. The chairs seem to be rather old and the bar is a granite top. Zelynity refuses to let Raiden do any cooking after he tried to feed her undercooked eggs.
Living Room The living room, very old-fashioned with a long coffee table and sofas facing each other with chairs randomly around the room. They have a little TV placed in the corner that Raiden plays his video games on. The room has an abundance of mirrors on every wall, which kind of frightens paranoid Zelynity. The kitchen and living room are connected.
Bathroom The bathroom, singular, which upsets Zelynity. For many years now only having one bathroom has bugged Zell very much, she's a girl that prides herself on her looks and dammit looking that good takes time. Raiden hardly gets any bathroom time with two girls in the house. There's a nice garden tub, two sinks, and, of course, a toilet. Not much to it.

Zelynity was sitting on the highest step out on the porch. She had her drawing pad placed across her knees, and her tongue hanging out the corner of her mouth. She was deep in thought, staring across the street at a certain tree. It was taking all that she had to focus on the damn thing, and it just wasn't turning out right. She crumpled up the page she had been working on and tossed it into the quickly growing pile of paper behind her. It just didn't seem to be her day to focus very well on anything. She took a deep breath and started her process over again, watching the tree, looking over every inch of the surface. She began to block everything out into a weird blur around her when she was startled by feet stomping down the stairs. She quickly shook out of her focus and looked up at the culprit. "Dammit, Raiden." She stood to her feet and growled under her breath at him before turning to head back inside. It seemed as though it was going to be one of those rare nights where Raiden actually left the house.
She walked down the small corridor that took up the entirety of the house; she always joked with Raiden that if you sneezed while walking through the door, then you'd miss the whole house. She walked into the kitchen, laying her sketch pad on the, rarely used, dining table and took a seat in front of it. She then grabbed an apple from the small basket in front of her and took a bite. When she was trying to think of what she should do alone in the house, it dawned on her that she wasn't alone. It was still a little weird getting used to the fact that it wasn't just her and Raiden in the house, she had been used to it for so long. "Hey, Haruka? You wanna do something?" She stayed positioned in her seat, knowing that her voice would travel the whole of the cute little house without moving an inch. There were a few things convenient about the house, after all.

Haruka had been living with Raiden and Zelynity for a while now, approaching a year now, by her calculations, and yet she still wasn't competely adjusted. Not to say that she regretted moving in or that she disliked living with the pair, but... She still had a little bit of trouble remembering that she wasn't a guest, that she actually lived here now. It was probably a product of her having lived in the same place for so long -- twenty years, about. She remembered the little apartment she shared with her mother when she was young, but just vaguely, and it never really felt like home. Back at the house she did consider home-sweet-home, she was free to do as she pleased, but she was still getting used to the rhythm of this place, and figuring out how she fit. Why did she have to be so timid at moments? Generally it was fine, and she was quite comfortable living with her significant other and his sister, but every once in a while, she'd find herself at a loss. Like today, when Raiden suddenly took off, Haruka was left alone in their bedroom, and so she elected to sit awkwardly on the bed. If she had been at her mother's house, and that happened, she'd probably go work on chores or something, but today was one of those days that she didn't exactly feel at liberty to do as she pleased.
She didn't have to wait for very long, because soon enough, Zelynity's voice caught her attention. It wasn't a very big house -- it did the trick, mind you, and she never felt crowded or like she couldn't have any personal space -- so it was easy to hear most things going on around the home, something that made her paranoid at times. But today it was a good thing, because she quickly leaped to her feet and went off to find Zelynity, wherever she was.
"Do something?" she asked as she wandered into the kitchen, smiling at her pink-haired roommate. Honestly, since moving in together, they hadn't spent that much time together, alone. But that was more due to her work schedule, Raiden, and the amount of time she spent hanging out at her mother's place rather than lack of interest. "Like what?" she continued, hesitating for a split second before going off to get a glass of water. After retrieving a cup and filling it, she leaned against the island and looked at Zelynity expectantly. "Either way, that sounds like fun. We don't really get to talk, just the two of us. Raiden's always around," she added with a small grin, before taking a drink from her glass.

Zelynity was about to stretch out her legs and wander through the house to make sure that Raiden hadn't murdered Haruka in some horrific domestic dispute that would require her to call Catrina and have them go on some long and epic journey across the island to find him, goddess knows the poor boy couldn't swim long with such tiny legs. Speaking of which, how had he turned out that way, after all? Sure, it was fun for her to pick on him since she was younger and taller, but it was just weird. Maybe she'd call Catrina about that later, but the important thing right now was having a fun night with Haruka! It was odd that she saw so little of the girl that lived with them, but with them both working and Zelynity always trying to avoid the awkwardness that emanated from them, it barely happened. "Oh, there you are." She smiled and took another chunk out of her apple.
She took the next few moments of silence to ponder what fun activities they could do. It took her a moment before the obvious dawned on her. "Chick flick! Wait, do you like chick flicks? Because I have popcorn. We have popcorn. Oh, it's so weird saying that!" She smiled and hopped up from her seat and walked over to the cabinet. "This is going to be sooo much fun!" She let out a little squeal and tossed the bag into the microwave before dashing off to her room. Why would she be randomly dashing to her room? To put on her pajamas and grab her giant mani-pedi kit of course. No girl's night was complete without doing nails, after all. Maybe Haruka would even play with her hair! Oh, she was so giddy by the time she arrived back into the kitchen!

It took Haruka a moment to realize that she had assumed an odd look as Zelynity went on about chick flicks and popcorn, and when she did, she brushed her hair out of her face bashfully. She hoped Zelynity hadn't noticed, because it wasn't anything bad, it was just... how long had it been since she had last done something like this? She had to have been thirteen, fourteen, at the most. Not to say that her mother hadn't tried to having girl bonding nights before, but she was reaching the point in her life that it was becoming clear that doing things with her mother was different than doing things with girl friends. "Oh, no, chick flicks are good. They're great!" she corrected herself as she realized she had taken probably a second or two too long to reply. "Yeah, it's a good idea--okay, you're off," she began with a smile, but it soon dissolved into her just mumbling. Zelynity was fast, sometimes too fast. Haruka stood there awkwardly by herself as her roommate was changing. She had to stop looking so startled, it made it seem like she wasn't interested. She was interested! In fact, she was touched that Zelynity wanted to spend her evening off with her her. It just didn't translate well, what with this stupid face of hers... Stupid, stupid, stupid face...
The popcorn was done quickly and as the microwave began to beep, it startled Haruka out of her thoughts. She turned aimlessly in her place for a second before getting a bowl. She had just begun to empty the contents of the popcorn bag into the bowl when Zelynity reappeared, wearing pajamas and carrying something big. Haruka couldn't help but laugh, quickly smothering her mouth with her hand. "Sorry, sorry, sorry, you just startled me. You ready?" she asked, picking up the bowl of popcorn and making her way to the living room. Now she felt overdressed, not wearing pajamas, though none of her sleepwear was especially appropriate for a slumber party sort of affair. It was good for sleeping and... other things, but not necessarily for hanging around the living room watching movies. "I haven't done something like this in forever. Middle school, at least," she spoke, setting the bowl down on the coffee table. "What do you say? Should we order pizza? Do each other's makeup?" The idea excited her. Zelynity was so tall and pretty, Haruka had always secretly wanted to do her hair and makeup. Wasn't every day you got to play with pink hair!

Zelynity walked, well practically ran, over to the couch and sat all of her stuff down on the table in front of her. "Oh, this is going to be so great! I got my mani-pedi kit! I have all different kinds of nail polish and cleansing rocks and everything! Those little freaks in the mall back home really new how to get me." She giggled and opened up the little box to look at all the contents. "I didn't mean to scare you, I'm just so happy!" She clapped her hands together in a really stupid looking way and then smiled wide again, she really needed some more girl time. She wouldn't be acting so ridiculous if it hadn't been since about the age where it was normal to act this way. "Oh, me too. Middle school, at least. I never really had all too many friends, though. Gah! I'm just so glad that you moved in, I wish we could have done this sooner!" She had this odd urge to just grab Haruka and give her a giant hug, but she restrained herself and hopped up to search for the phone. She wasn't going out to get food, that would take far too much time. Time they didn't have! It seemed that her excitement had caused her eyes to play tricks on her, but she soon saw the phone laying right in front of her and grabbed it.
She held it in her lap for a few seconds after realizing that she had no idea what Haruka liked on her pizza. "You're good at this thing for not doing it very often, pizza is a great idea! Do you want some wings? Mmmmmmm, some boneless buffalo wings sound great right about now. What do you like on your pizza? I can go with pretty much anything, as long as you don't want anchovies. But, y'know, even if you do. We can get two pizzas! Maybe we should get two anyway, are you very hungry? I'm sure Raiden will want some. Oh, goodness! I'm just so excited!" How long had it been since she took a breath? Oh, who cared, she could breathe when all of the excitement was over! She waited for Haruka to answer, hoping that she had heard all that she said because her mind was racing so fast that she probably couldn't say it all again. She was trying to think of anything else that they should do, what movies should they watch?! Oh, there was so many decisions to make, hopefully Raiden would stay gone all night!

Haruka would be lying if she said that the kit didn't interest her. It wasn't anything professional grade, but it was a handy little kit, and she sort of wished she had one of her own. She was always disorganized when it came to her own belongings, afterall. "I'm glad, too," she smiled, taking a seat next to her pink haired friend and poking through the contents of the box. "I don't think I would have had the guts to ask you to do something like this otherwise," she admitted, brushing her hair behind her ear with her free hand. "Though, I kind of regret feeling so weird around you before," she added with a quiet laugh. Not that she hadn't wanted to talk to Zelynity before or be her friend, they had spoken a few times and she liked it a lot, she just couldn't help but feel weird once she and Raiden started dating. It was still weird, in some ways.
She laughed again when Zelynity started going on about food. "Assembling a feast, huh?" she smiled to herself as she stopped playing with the contents of the kit. "Oh, don't worry, I don't know how anyone can like anchovies on their pizza," she shook her head. Not only did the idea of fish on pizza sound foul, but it seemed so greasy! ...Pizza was greasy enough as it was. "I'm not that picky anyway. But if we get two, then we'll have things to eat for the next few days," she broke into a grin. "When I was a kid, my mom would buy, like, three pizzas, and we'd just eat that for a week. She was that bad at cooking." The vague memories of eating cold pizza for three days in a row made her laugh cheerfully, even though at the time, it had bothered her to no end. "Though, I'm not sure if Raiden should get any, for running off like that," she shook her head and leaned back against the back of the couch. She was kidding, though it wasn't entirely obvious. She needed to learn how to smile when she made a joke, even if it was a bad one. "Do you mind taking care of that? I can look for a movie, if you don't already have one in mind." She smiled as she changed the subject. She was starting to feel more comfortable already. It was surprising what an effect socializing had on everything.

Zelynity was smiling ear to ear at Haruka, and was glad that the girl showed interest in her little box of wonders. Hopefully, that meant that she was impressed and would love to use the objects inside! That would just be absolutely wonderful because she had never thought of what would happen if she didn't like it. "I'm sorry, I would have arranged something sooner. But, with both of us working, it never really worked out." She gave a little frown, which ended up being more of a straight line since the smile wouldn't allow a complete frown. They shouldn't dwell on such sad things, this was a time for being happy. Hmm, who knew that having someone who wasn't picky would be more of a curse? She didn't very much enjoy choices that affected other people. What if Haruka was just being kind and actually didn't like some topping? What if that topping was the very favorite of Zelynity? That would be awful. "Well, I say we go with a meat lover, it's Raiden's favorite, and a cheese, extra cheese, because who doesn't loooove cheese? Does that sound good? I'm also thinking pan crust. I love that buttery taste. Oh, and the buffalo wings of course! Do you want bread sticks? Mmmmm! It's just so good." She rubbed her tummy in a much too dramatic way before hopping up from the couch.
She began walking sprinting through the house towards Raiden's room. Not like she was paying for all of that. He's the one that left, so he was the one that could pay. Oh, she had forgotten to tell Haruka what she was doing. Her mind was just so haywire at this point, surely she'd understand. "I'll call the food in while you look for a movieeee." She cupped her hands around her mouth before turning to the dresser. Ah, there it was. She grabbed his little jar that contained his extra stash of cash and opened it. Oh yeah, that was plenty to cover the expenses that were about to be rendered. She held the phone up and began dialing the number, "Delivery, please. Zelynity Niami. Z-E-L-Y-N-I-T-Y N-I-A-M-I. Yes, I know it's a weird name. Two large pizzas, one meat lover, one extra cheese. Yes. Pan. Yes. An order of boneless buffalo wings and bread sticks. Yes. Marinara. Yes. Sounds great. Bye." She hung up the phone and carried it with her with the wad of stash in hand. "Done!" Her face was showing the same wide smile once more as she sat on the couch next to Haruka.

And again, Haruka found herself alone as Zelynity ran off again. They certainly did like to randomly pop off to places in this family, didn't they? That was something she still had to get used to. Back with her mother, things tended to be a little sleepier, more sedated. But it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. As her pink-haired roommate went to order pizza, the brunette was left by herself on the couch. She poked through the mani/pedi kit again, more to just have something to do, rather than just sitting there by herself. Ahh, movie. Right. She glanced around, a little at a loss, before going to flip through the selection of movies their for-copyright-reasons-not-Netflix-movie-delivery-service had provided rather absentmindedly. She was not what you would call a film buff in any way, shape, or form. It wasn't necessarily a lack of interest or resources. Watching television had just never been a priority. Sometimes her mother watched the news, or old movies, but Haruka rarely indulged. So her knowledge of modern movies was limited at best, and as she flipped through the titles, she failed to recognize a single one of them. Well, she was sure that if it was truly terrible, Zelynity would be okay with changing to something else, and so she picked a random romantic comedy, the most chick-flick-esque looking title she could find. If all else failed, it would be good for a laugh.
"Great! Thanks," Haruka smiled as Zelynity returned. By this point, the opening credits of the movie were beginning to roll, and she paused it before it got too far ahead. "I hope you don't mind, I picked the cheesiest one I could find. It is girl's night, right?" she continued with a small laugh, though it was obvious she was a little hesitant. The more she thought of it, the bigger a deal it felt. This was the first time she and Zelynity had hung out, just the two of them. This was her chance to foster a relationship beyond 'brother's girlfriend'. She wanted to be friends, but frankly, she had no idea of how to go about it. In the meantime, she just smiled up at Zelynity, scooted over a little bit on the couch so she could sit, and just hoped she wasn't acting strange. She was thirty years old, and this was a first. Wasn't she a little too old to be having firsts like this?

Zelynity placed the money and phone down in front of her beside the kit and looked over at the TV. She was sure that anything Haruka picked out would be fine, it's not like she could do much better. Now that all the business had been taken care of, she wasn't really sure what to do. With all of her initial excitement and running around, it hadn't seemed very strange. The fact that she hardly knew anything about Haruka, so conversation would probably be forced at best. She found herself hoping the scarfing down of food and watching of the movie would keep them silenced with the occasional comments of how awful the movie was. Maybe they could have some kind of bonding over the tears they refused to let fall towards the end, or something like that. "Whatever you picked is fine. Cheesy is good! That way we can make fun of it!" She smiled back at Haruka, wondering if she was really that chipper about all of this or if she felt just as awkward. That kind of a question would be far too weird, so she decided to eat some popcorn. "Did you want to watch the movie now or wait for the pizza? I kind of thought it'd be smarter to wait so we could use this time to do something that required hands? But, it's up to you." She smiled again, a little more awkwardly this time since she had a kernel stuck in her teeth.
She decided that drinks would probably be a good idea and hopped up, yet again. This time she was just going to the kitchen, though. "Water, tea, pop, spoiled milk?" She was rummaging through the refrigerator trying to find something that she wanted. She couldn't resist the giggle that her echoing voice caused. She grabbed herself a cup and poured some tea and waited Haruka's choice.
