General

“Audio Fade” under Sound Options has been renamed to Game Volume During Alerts. Its tooltips have also been changed for clarification.

The fade-in for game sound during alerts changed from .5 seconds to 2 seconds.



Bug Fixes

Fixed a truncation on specific resolution if the current and maximum supplies are 3 digits.

Fixed an issue which prevented footprint from being edited in the Footprint Editor.

Fixed an issue that caused the game to have missing icons and images on low end graphics cards.

The cost of Upgrade Shields Level 1 has been decreased to 150/150, down from 200/200.

The cost of Upgrade Shields Level 2 has been decreased to 225/225, down from 300/300.

The cost of Upgrade Shields Level 3 has been decreased to 300/300, down from 400/400.

The cost of Upgrade Ground Weapons Level 2 has been decreased to 150/150, down from 175/175.

The cost of Upgrade Ground Weapons Level 3 has been decreased to 200/200, down from 250/250.

The cost of Upgrade Ground Armor Level 2 has been decreased to 150/150, down from 175/175.

The cost of Upgrade Ground Armor Level 3 has been decreased to 200/200, down from 250/250.


TERRAN

EMP radius has been decreased from 2 to 1.5


this patch doesn't contain much, but I thought I should post this up anyways.

obviously, the part that sticks out is Protoss upgrades. i'm glad to see Lv2 and 3 upgrades finally getting rescaled for Protoss weap/armors, and cheaper shield upgrades I would've said was pretty much necessary at that point. you could get Lv3 Zerg Melee at the same cost of Lv1 shield, or a Mothership at the same cost for Lv3 shield.

i don't really have any thoughts on the EMP nerf. it's probably more balanced now, since the utility on that thing is amazing as it is.

I can't wait for the patch to hit normal servers. I wanna do some upgrade changes. I wanna do 0/1/1 versus terran, and 1/0/1 versus zerg early on. I usually end up using archons a bunch, and/or dts as well. Dts and archons benefit a lot more from shields than armor.

While I'm okay with all of the shield changes in cost as they were grossly overpriced, I think the lvl 2 and lvl 3 weapons and armor is kind of much.

The weapons is a catch all on too many protoss units to come that cheap, and it's kind of crazy that lvl 3 protoss shields is cheaper than lvl 2 zerg carapace.

EMP change was necessary.

I think the wep and armor upgrades were not required, but the shields def. I really can't wait for the patch to hit real servers to do some dt/archon builds, as well as just generally using shield/armor instead of weapon/armor for most matchups.
