It didn't take long for the woman of honor to open the door, looking like the ray of sunshine she normally was~ Kade had to wonder if it ran in the Vatonage blood to be so easily domesticated – he couldn't remember Blaire ever having any problems with settling into motherhood! But, then, Kade wasn't certain if Blaire considered him the type of friend to go to with such problems. Either way, she looked happy and that had Kade smiling, “Surprise!” He chimed out, slipping his sole free arm around the woman in an awkward side-hug while he nodded Brian to go inside. The boy looked like he was about ready to drop the bags and run, anyway, family obligations be damned. Kade turned his eyes back onto the white-haired woman and released her, stepping back to allow the youngest Waldroup into the home while remaining politely outside. The woman would forgive the kid, but he doubted she would him just running inside. Brian being inside, though, would give him a good excuse in case she turned out to be busy to force his way inside! Ah, genius, Kade~

I heard someone got a visit from the stork awhile ago – so, here we are! You let me into the kitchen and I can make us some treats while Junior and Brian give us atmosphere with streamers and a cute table cloth..” With that said, he pushed Junior forward, signaling the man to go in after Brian – which he did, although reluctantly and with a stream of mumbled apologies towards Blaire. Once Junior and Brian were inside and setting the bags they had down on the kitchen counter, Kade finally decided to ask for permission with a hopeful look towards the woman, “..or that's the plan if you let me in, honeydrop.

With his always so helpful wife taking care of the incident in their kitchen, Reed was put in charge of his new baby boy. Madison had been sleeping away in his father's arm while the father sat in his office working on an editing piece. That was, until he heard some talking at the front door. Normally, he would let Blaire handle whoever was coming in and out of the house. There were a select number of people who were always over after all and if they wanted to see Reed, they'd come into his office. However, seeing how there was already one visitor wandering through the house, and one family member out and about in town, there was a sense of something being different today. Getting up as slowly as possible, the man brought him and his son out into the common area to see who it was, coming into the Page household. It was a familiar face. A man he saw around town now and again and who had been at their wedding. Reed looked at Kade with open surprise as he moved closer to the front door. "Kade, it's been awhile," He spoke with a pleasant smile, using a hushed tone as to not wake Maddy. Unfortunately the silence wouldn't last to long.

Wondering the Page's home with intense boredom was a familiar blonde haired male that was making one of his frequent visits. June was off of work and with no one to see, so he decided to make his way to his second home to play with his 'mock-siblings'. He was however, disappointed when he found that one of them was out of the house. And since Reed refused to let June play with Maddy, he had to focus on playing with Brooke, who was inevitably drawn away to help clean. This left the man with very few options and only one that seemed to work for him. That would be exploring the house for any kind of hidden secrets. And yet, the Page's home was pretty scotch free of juicy findings. Women products for Erika and Blaire, some new protection from having another bundle of joy in the house, and a couple of little treasures Reed had been collecting since moving here. All pretty boring, Erika and Brooke didn't even seem to have any interesting secrets kept in their diaries. June sighed, coming to the conclusion on how boring these people really were. Which is why when he saw the guests, he was pleasantly surprised. Getting behind the Page family, and pushing his way to see the visitors, June greeted them with a loud, monotone, "Hey," waking little Maddy in the process. Of course, that wasn't the Blonde's problem. So he sat staring at a familiar face, Junior's, while Reed tried to hush the little boy back to sleep.

-Blaire Page & Brooke Page-

And just like that her home was full. Amazing how this always happened in the blink of an eye. They already had June at the house, but this was routine by now. It wasn't nearly enough of a distraction either, especially when it counted which was now and- hm? "...What?" replied the woman softly, not quite grasping what Kade wanted. Streamers? "Oh yes, come in but..." trailed off the woman, moving to the side to let the other two-or just Kade since the others were already inside. "What is the plan... exactly?" asked Blaire gently. She didn't give off any indicator of opposition, she just wanted to know what was going on. After all Maddy woke up-Maddy? Blaire's attention shifted from her guest to her husband and son, currently disliking June for altering the peace. "June..." sighed the woman lightly. Oh what could you do? This wasn't anything new.

Brooke on the other hand wasn't worrying much, just looking over at one of the guests. She had been June's entertainment for a while, but now there was another kid here. The girl recognized him from her class, but it's not like they were friends or anything... It didn't stop her from going over to him though. "Hey" she greeted, standing two feet or so from him. "You're in my class, right?" It's not like he would be in any other class, there was no way he was one of the older kids... That wasn't important right now though. What was important was that she had someone to talk to while everyone else was busy with something. Of course wondering what he was doing in her house was important too.

Oh~ Kade had been worried that he hadn't brought in enough people to call it a 'baby shower', but, with June's face popping from the crowd, Kade was happy to discover he may have been wrong~! “Hiii! It's been awhile, hasn't it? You just need to pop into the salon more often, hon, and we'd get to talk more.” He chuckled at Reed before turning his attention onto June next – oh, the rumors circling this one! But, he would refrain from commenting! Kade knew better than to out a man in a group like that – not that he wasn't sure June was secure with his sexuality, but, he didn't want to find out he wasn't and ruin the party! “June! I don't think we've talked – oh, you went to school with Junior, though, right? You could help him set things up, couldn't you? I think Brian is a little busy with Brooke.” He pointed out with a gentle push on the blonde to both direct him towards his son and to move him out of the way so Kade could get a better look at the little one.

Ah~ The baby was so cute! He had to hold back a squeal at the sight as he lowered the bags onto the ground not so gently before straightening back up to crane over the infant. “Oh, he's just darling, sweetie! Full head of hair too!” He admired the child for a few more seconds before giving a pleading look over at Blaire, “Can I hold him? Please? I won't drop him, honey! He's just too cute to not want to hold, you know?” Reed may have been holding the boy, but it would always be the woman's call as to who got to a chance with the baby!

Inside, standing awkwardly beside the bags that Brian had quickly deserted in favor of avoiding the crowd and maybe sneaking into the kitchen, Junior noticed something peculiar just a moment too late. June. There were several reasons for why Junior would suddenly feel anxious, but one stood out well above them all. He was staring at him. Had it been because his dad had decided to direct the man toward him or had his previous fears been correct – that he had irritated Yuri in some way and she had decided to tell June about it? Junior wasn't certain on friendships or what people were expected to do for each other within them, but he knew for certain that June had the look of someone who wanted to kill.

Or.. or he hoped.. maybe not.. he wasn't sure, but he knew that June wanted to do something to him. He swallowed dryly and attempted to send his father a look of panic and dismay at his decision to shove June in his direction. 'Attempted', as in, Junior decided at the last second that giving his father any such look could cause a mental breakdown that would make this situation worse, so he turned his stare to the ceiling. Maybe some higher deity would pity him and finally do something. ...Yeah, wasn't gonna happen. “...Um..” Another swallow, “Y-Yuri –” He shook his head, rethinking that statement before turning back to the bags, “You don't have to help, I-I'll do it.” He mumbled instead quickly before taking some silly pink banner his father had insisted on despite the baby gender.

Brian – as previously stated – was well on his way to the kitchen to maybe sneak a snack while everyone was off meeting and greeting when a pair of blue eyes stopped him. Brooke. The boy didn't know Brooke very well – she was a boring girl in class and Brian didn't do much outside of push those types down when the teacher wasn't looking. It didn't allow for much conversation, but, well, his uncle had talked to him enough about Brooke for him to recognize her name. He extended himself to his full height – which was below hers, by some horrible twist of fate. Still, it didn't stall his reaction to what she said. He snorted, obviously entertained as he replied in his most exaggerated sarcastic tone, “No, I'm a genius – I go to the older kid classroom because you're waaay too beneath my level of smarts to keep up!” He paused for a second before sticking his tongue at her and laughing, “Well, yeah, we're in the same class, stupid! There's only two rooms.

Reed stood and watched as Kade dominated over the atmosphere of the house. He was definitely a... Lively man. And Reed appreciated that to a certain extent, which is why he kept a pleasant smile on his face. And that was pretty hard to do, since Maddy had been woken up so abruptly. But luckily, the baby didn't cause much fuss other than squirming around a bit. That's why the father had a bit of resistance when it came to letting his guest hold his son. Not that he didn't trust the man, it was just that Madison might not be in the mood for someone else to hold him. And yet, Reed gave in pretty easily, always one to want to show off his children any way possible. "It's fine," Reed told Kade with a small chuckle, moving closer to release the child into the other man's arms. Of course, giving Kade a chance to see if Blaire was okay with it as well. There were two parents in this household after all. And really, only one of them was actually in charge. The father of the house just really did the more miniscule task, Blaire was definitely the one in control.

Unfortunately, no one was in control of a certain blonde visitor. Who, after being greeted by the eldest guest, began focusing on an old face from school. Junior was always one of the stranger ones. Never said many words, and even if he tried, they never came out very well. It made June pity the boy a bit. However, he would never say it. Instead, he would just stare a whole into the boy. Not for any particular reason, just on a whim. That was, until Junior began talking. "Yuri?" June echoed with a brazen tone that really didn't mean any harm. What did she have to do with anything? Did the other boy even know her? Well obviously he did, which peeked June's interest a bit. Enough to continue to follow Junior off to the dining table, slapping a certain smaller guest, more obnoxious guest in the back of the head, just for good measure. "Don't be so reserved," The blonde spoke with an almost sarcastic tone that had seemed to become the only way June could talk recently. It was really no wonder why people got agitated with him. Yet, he would never notice. Instead, he would continue to talk in that arrogant monotone of his, "It's easier if I helped as well."

"Of course, just.. well be careful" replied the mother with a smile. The careful part was mostly because of that excitement. Surely Kade was perfectly capable of handling a baby, but an excited Kade... now that one could be a bit worrisome. But it really should be fine, so she merely added a nod to that and kept an eye on the man. It had really been a long time since she talked to Kade. Aside from quick trips to the salon that had diminished over the years that is. That, and they really hadn't talked that much back then. She had too much silly things going around at that time. Leaving Kade with Madison for a moment, Blaire looked at her husband, "Did he managed to get any sleep at all? Before June got here?" she asked. It'd be helpful to know if they would have a cranky member of the household after all, even if the baby was a rather pleasant one even at the worst times.

So much for being nice. Brooke's calm expression dissipated in an instant. Her brow furrowed slightly, and she crossed her arms in front of her. Not that she would cause a scene, he was already doing that on his own. Though before she could say something, June gave her a bit of back-up, something she had to slightly grin at for a moment. "You're an idiot" snapped the girl. "I was being nice. Ever tried it?" Of course he hadn't. He spent all his time bothering everyone. How could she forget that? It wasn't really encouraging that she had to get some sarcasm to remember. But that was besides the point, she had to deal with him at her house. To be honest, she rather enjoyed the fact she could look down on him, even if by a tiny bit. "What are you doing here anyways? It's not like anyone invited you here." Was she trying to be condescending? Of course she was, and it certainly sounded like it.
