satsun kaze no sakura About the "She's dead (so's Rin, and she's not evil)"... Rin is not dead. She died once, but Sesshoumaru brought her back to life. Yes, well you can say that Kikyou died once but was bought back to life... or else she wouldn't be moving about would she? Oh, and what happened to the mountie-died party? 4laugh The Mouryoumaru-is-dead party is going on at the moment. 3nodding yes, Kikyou has been ressurected, but unlike Rin, she needs to live off of the soul of freshly dead women. Rin does not. Just because Kikyou can move around, doesn't mean that she's fully alive. Sesshoumaru and everyone else says that she is dead, and Kikyou admits it herself.

We all know she has to take souls, but I can clearly see that she shows that she's hurt by doing so, and therefore wants to complete her desires so she can return to the other side. That's what I believe anyway.

Hanajima-chan SecretAgentX More on the name thing, at least Kikyou has a meaning. Kagome does not mean anything in Japanese!!! Unless I am mistaken. No offense but...wtf does that have to do anything? No, Kagome does not have a specific and direct meaning. But I wouldn't go so far as to say that it means nothing in Japanese. If it were written in kanji it would be "woven basket." Since it's in hiragana, it is presumed to have come from the children's song/game called Kagome, Kagome. I actually rather like it that way - the song is neat. That's cool then! I learned something new! mrgreen I just did some further studies and Kagome is supposed to mean "fruit of the basket" !

About the meaning of 'Kagome', I think it has no meaning at all. While there is a word in Japanese 'kagome' meaning 'woven bamboo pattern', the kanji is not used when Kagome's name is written in Chinese. Which leads to two possibilites: 1, the Chinese decided to follow 4kid's example and change the name, or 2, 'kagome' has no meaning, and thus open to whatever name the Chinese want to use, usually 'Gewei' or 'Ah Li'.
Another example of names with no meaning 'Sayuri', my host mother's name when I went to Japan a few years ago. 'Sayuri' was written in hiragana, and when I asked how it was written in kanji, my host sister said it was just a name.

I've got replies for every one of them..
- She's dead (so was Rin(how evil is she!)) = Already been explained. Besides, the Band of Seven where dead, but they got alot of fans. (Yummm.. Bankotsu).
- She's made out of dirt = Aren't we all? JUST KIDDING. But seriously, look at South Park. They got a guy who's a terd, but people still respect him and treat him like a icon.
- Her heart now is full of revenge and hatred. = So is Uma from Kill Bill, and trust me, SHE'S KICK a**.
- She's a zombie. = Same as number one.. you know, most of these are ones that haved already been used, just words were changed. tsk tsk.. a shame.
- She schemes too much = She barely talks. Besides, some intensions are for good, like taking that man's ashes to the Mt. so he may be saved.
- She doesn't have a heart, literally. If she does, it's made out of dirt. (just a note: early she said it was full of hate hmmmm) = Already been explained. We've all been hurt sometimes everyone, we are human and delicate. Also, I recall nursing people during the Suikotsu episodes.
- She's not human anymore. = *Points to #4*
- She tried to kill Kagome several times = Yeah.. sometimes I wanna just go in there, open her body with one of her own arrows or Inuyasha's sword and use a organ to strangle her! MWAHAHAHAHA(Whoa.. O_____o Blame Happy Tree Friends). - She brings Inuyasha pain = Think back before Kagome ever exsisted. She brought Inuyasha great feeling. He cured a orphaned boy's heart. The pain is "LOVE" and we all feel it, so it's not all Kikyo's fault.
- She steal souls of others so to live = Can't really argue there.. sweatdrop
- She's got one big foot = WTFH?! SO?! JANKOTSU IS GAY and SOME characters have Big tits.
- She betrays now = She's been betrayed to, atleast she gots reasons.
- She's the copy of her formal self. = WTFH! scream
- She hardly what people would call "nice". = She has a heartmelting smile and is a priestess. She was a wonderful maiden before Kagome was in the picture, and don't you forget it!
- She pinned Inuyasha to a tree. = Not on purpose. Your not a true fan of Inuyasha, mind you. If you were betrayed by the one you trusted most and he attacked your village, you probably wouldv'e done the same.
- She call Kagome her "copy", when she's DEAD = Pffhht.. So?
- Even Inuyasha can smell that her scent stink. = Has he EVER once said that or is that something you made up while getting high and jerking off(sorry, kinda harsh there, but really) in your hippy-dippy mushroom world you call a mind?
- She teamed up with Naraku = ONCE. So has Sango and Sesshomaru, but they keep getting fans. (I can't blame them, they are both KICK-a**).
- She wants to kill Inuyasha = Noone wants to be alone in death, not that I support that or anything..
- She is actually quite egotistical = Gotta admit, malmost all the charcters have their loner moments once in awhile.
- Her face tells "the world wants to make ME suffer" = *points up*
- She didn't trust Inuyasha enough = gonk
- She makes people sick = Since when?
- She's like a zombie trying to kill a REAL human = w00t Shaun of The Dead! XD
- She wanted Inuyasha to be human for her, when she knew how badly he was treated by humans = He wanted to become human aswell, just didn't admit it out loud.
- She's Kikyou. And god, even her name sounds freaky = It's how the japanese prenouce it. What about "Shippou". Just add a "p" at the end and we get..
Shippoup(Shi-poop) or Shi-pope
- She just doesn't know how to forgive. How pathetic = Your pathetic! (Got that from a movie, laughed my a** off, just can't remember).
Okay, just wanted to let that out. Sorry, I'm not really this firey usally. I'm actually very friendly. But I was just outraged at these.
