The room has many various plants within, just to mention a few as a Blood Orchid {which was supposed to be a mythical plant that could extend a person's life by making one's cells reproduce far longer}, an Giraluna {a plant with paramimetic qualities, evident in its metallic seeds, or spherostills, on its corona, practically a plant that grows precious metals}, Kyrt {it is grown for its fibers finer than the most delicate synthetics and stronger than any steel alloy}, and even an Solar Complexus Americanus "Solar Tree" {a tree that generates heat, and very useful for cold seasons when Headmistress Mae decided that it was suddenly winter, though otherwise this tree resides outside}.
These mentioned plants weren't supposed to exist, but for Rosalia, it wasn't hard to know where to find these things plus all the normal, useful plants. And it was part of her job as to teach students {that's you} about these uses. Whether they be dangerous or not, that's for the students to take heed to her warning about the plants and remember them...
