What is there to say about Neil? Born and raised in Toronto, Canada to a pretty much normal family... Okay, no. The whole family is weird and everyone that isn't part of it agrees to say so. They all have theirs little quirks that often borderlines (when not fully) OCD and none of them have any concept of personal space or even the law. So, it is in that family that Neil was born and it showed.
From a young age, the boy had showed to have one great quality, and that was, he never lied. Ever. Even when it put him in trouble. In fact, people lying around him made him angry! Why couldn't people be more honest? Why did they have to hide the truth! They were all a bunch of selfish bastards trying to keep the truth to themselves! So, like any Murrow would have done, he dedicated his whole life to the quest of the Truth, doing journalism studies and quickly becoming a news reporter.
Around the age of thirty, when he heard that the spoiled and infamous Gaston Sonata had bought an island in the middle of nowhere, he knew right away that he had to move there in order to discover what evil plans the Sonata family had and what reason they had done that. And discovering a lot of truth he did! Like the alien attacks on the island! Or the invasion of Cyberman! The cloning facility! The Human Trafficking Ring! All those things that no one but him were able to see! Oh, but he did uncover them all! Mainly due to the help of a certain female officer who trusted him.
Romance Bissette, Then only a regular officer, worked with Neil on a number of cases and, just like Inspector Gadget, manage to always find the culprit, while being totally off in their investigation. Pure dumb luck? Probably. Point was, the two of them grew closer, but nothing romantic. It was only platonic friendship, with neither of them actually having feelings for the other one.
However, that all changed a couple years later, when Romane's then girlfriend died. Romane realized she was all alone in the world and Neil realized that he was in his mid thirties and would never get a wife. It took only a moment between them to exchange a look and have the same idea. 20 minutes later, Romane was holding a gun at Jacob's head and Neil was threatening to write an article about how he was an Homosexual who abused little children if he didn't marry them right away. And that was how the two of them ended up married. A couple years later, they had a daughter, because that's what married couple do, even if they were already taking care of Romane's ex-girlfriend's son, Julian.

──────────────────────────────────── Ah, Romane – where can one begin with such a life as hers? Romane was born from the coupling of a paranoid officer and a stripper, a pair that quickly broke up for probably obvious reasons. When it became known that Amethyst, her mother, was with child, Romane's father was the one to take her in to 'save her' from the horrors of the world. This meant, of course, denying her any access to it outside of himself and maybe a few supervised trips outside. Romane grew up rather isolated, only learning what she was taught – which wasn't quite enough to have her properly equipped for when she was thrown out into the world at seventeen. Her father died on duty, leaving her to go live with her mother for the remainder of her last year as a child, but she wasn't any wiser on the workings of society. A book could only tell her so much, but, thankfully, she recognized this fact as she picked up the very work her father had. Not only arming herself, but somehow using this as a method to deal with the grief of losing the only person she ever really had.
A few years of service and Romane's paranoia became extremely obvious to her chief – it was a miracle that the woman hadn't been fired after the fifth false arrest! But, the man had a pity for her and, so, instead, decided to transfer her somewhere where there was a far more calm environment for her to work in – Nirvani Island. ..Oh, how he was wrong~! Romane's first day on the island had her witnessing an arson, inhaling marijuana purely by mistake, and ending up high in a field for the remainder of the evening. This, of course, had her late for her first meeting with her partner as a start to her wonderful days on Nirvani Island! Her house burned down later that season after she decided to help a naïve monk from the rain, which followed by a series of events that ended in her suspended, kidnapped, and forever lost from her original path. Romane became more tuned onto survival since then and, if anyone thought her to be distrustful before, they were in for a surprise afterward – Romane had trouble even leaving her home for work anymore, with only Rachel's and Cid's, a then friend, coaxing to get her back out.
It took time and patience (and not a little spiking of her coffee..) to get Romane somewhat back to her old self again. Thankfully, the year had been pretty quiet, enough so for her to feel comfortable and start focusing on honing her friendships once more. ..That is, until a kidnapping case had her completely absorbed into work, enough for a small comment to lead one of her closest friends into leaving the island forever without a word. Romane was left alone once the case had solved, lost as to where her dubbed protector had disappeared to. She slowly sunk back into depression, but, thankfully enough, she found consolation in her ex-partner, now sheriff – Rachel Fate. Rachel had been knocked up by Romane's new partner, but, even so, Romane still found herself attached to the woman.. The pair had even begun to date with time and Romane often wondered if, perhaps, she was experiencing something close to affection with the woman, but, before she could figure that out completely, fate decided to hit once again. Rachel ended up in the hospital and, a year or so on the brink of death, the woman slipped away, leaving Romane to adopt Rachel's son, Julian, and hide in her home for several days. This last one was more than Romane could take – every one of the people she had come to trust and, yes, love had left her in their own ways.. leaving only one person.
Neil Murrow. Romane had attempted to stay with him before, but his personality quickly drove her up a wall – but, she didn't have a choice at this point. Romane needed someone that she could legally say was bound to her and it was armed that she showed up at his door, demanding they be married that day. Luckily for her, Neil had been thinking of marriage lately himself, ending in the both of them at the church with no questions asked, threatening the priest into wedding them ASAP. Father Waldroup wasn't one to test his luck with the sheriff and, so, he pronounced Romane Bissette as Mrs. Murrow. They moved in together, soon had a baby girl by the name of Mimi, and lived rather quietly – or, well, as quiet as living with a Murrow could be.────────────────────────────────────

The third in the Murrow family, Catrina is quite notably the youngest, her older brother, Robert, being fifteen years older than her and, of course, Neil being even older. Now, considering what type of children they had previously produced, it's to be expected Catrina end up being a tad.. off. Perhaps the most 'off' of the family, as far as a psychologist is concerned. While Neil may have been capable of speeds rivaling superhuman and Robert was perpetually caught in a gray, detective film, Catrina had more than luck and a bottle of ritalin could fix! The girl, since before she could remember, has always been firm in her beliefs that she was of the feline persuasion. Yes, a cat. Trapped in her human body, Catrina spent her childhood tagging along with her older brother, hoping to find a surgeon willing to transfer her back into a feline body, constantly on the edge as her growing spirit age threatened her very existence! But, no one was willing to give her a number to anywhere but a local therapist and, occasionally, a pound – only her older brothers seemed to believe her! But, not one to be deterred, she continued her search for a good set more of years – until an issue was brought to her attention! A horrid one that forced her to put aside her own personal quest for one to benefit all of feline kind! Her cat siblings were in a horrible war against the dogs of Nirvani Island – if it wasn't for her dear friend, Mei, alerting her to it, she would never have known, either! But, thankfully, Catrina was able to take the reigns of the rebellion and has, since, been working her best on destroying every semblance of a dog within her new turf.
..The girl's probable delusions aside, she's been living in her oldest brother's new home as his pet cat and been doing little more than creep the civilians out by stalking, accusing, and, in an act of friendship, leaving small, dead animals on their doorsteps. She sometimes attacks a home with 'prisoner' cats to release them into the wild and, outside of that, she's been basically harmless. She's still going to school as a 9th grader, considering she never turns in any of her homework and only shows up when she's investigating a new student or some task given to her via her detective agency. ────────────────────────────────────

♡ Diary Location: On the second shelf in his closet.  ♡ History: Julian's life was supposed to be different than that of his mother, but sometimes life enjoys giving you a crappy hand. He was born to Rachel Fate, the previous sheriff of the island, and Jonathan Parker, another officer back then. Oblivious to the little drama brewing there, Julian had a happy first five years of his life. His father was nowhere in sight, but his mother had found love in another woman. It was a weird but happy setting, at least until Rachel became ill with cancer, which by the point it was discovered, it was too late, and the boy and other half watched her deteriorate until she finally succumbed. Julian was seven and his father somewhere, his mother dead, with only one person to care for him, Romane Bissette. The death of his mother was something that shook the boy to the core. It took him a few years to actually get out of the slump the loss and Romane's neurotic tendencies, which had increased with her pregnant, before settling into a way of life that fit him. He wasn't a bad kid, he was just... barely behaving. Apparently something he got from his father was a hot-headed attitude, that got him in a few troubles recently. Adding an adopted tendency to be wary of people from Romane, albeit never to that extent, didn't do the boy any good. Someone how the boy has some friends on the island and is usually just around town, or trying to understand what's going on in his house with his step-mother, her husband, and her daughter...
♡ Personality: Julian's lost some laughs along the years, which is why he keeps an indifferent demeanor most of the time. He's highly competitive, and is quite hot-headed, causing a few fights because of that isn't unusual. Oddly enough, he's easily flustered with situations he doesn't know how to handle... he tries, but they are rarely ever graceful.

──────────────────────────────────── Mimi Murrow was the result of a pair of desperate, middle-aged people, but it wasn't like she sensed that at all as she grew up. Romane and Neil were both friends for a long time before they decided to get hitched, after all! What Mimi did notice, though, was.. well, everything! Her father could talk faster than anyone she ever met and asked so many questions – questions that she wanted answers to just as much as he needed them! Then there was her mother, who always knew everything about everyone! Mimi could just spend her whole life sitting at the dinner table listening to everyone talk! ..Which was basically what the girl did for her seven years of life. Sure, she went out to school, did her homework, talked to everyone, but it wasn't like she didn't have to go home early everyday with a mother like Romane. And, once the girl got home, she went from the loudest kid on the block to the quietest, obedient mouse ever seen. When she isn't listening to her parents, she's inside Julian's room watching him in case he does something he's not smart enough to understand is bad – which she'll fix by dragging her mother into it! It's all for the better and Mimi gets to shoot mommy's gun whenever she catches Julian doing something bad, so Mimi is always on the watch for poor Julian.────────────────────────────────────
