Ok someone who's actually big into feminism would be better to answer this but I'll attempt.

Women aren't "allowed" to do as they please with their sex life. Men can have sex as much as they want with whoever they want while women are shamed for it. Whore, slut, and so on. All words used for women who have sex outside a monogamous relationship. Yeah this isn't 100% true in every situation but you get the general idea of what I'm trying to say.

I don't tell people I'm vegetarian or atheist often because I don't feel like defending myself all the time. The same goes for my sex life so I only really talk about in situation where I know I won't be judged.

^^^^^ Thiiiiiiiis

We're not "supposed to" like sex because of some puritanical bullshit about how women should be pure and virginal and *Pukes*
There's nothing wrong with enjoying sex/masturbation (And there's also nothing wrong with not enjoying it =P)

Acting pure and virginal WHILE being expected to look "sexy." God forbid a woman doesn't shave her legs! And if she has a one night stand with Bigfoot legs? Society may explode.

Div, you're a guy. Maybe the reason you only hear about guys doing it is cause girls tend to share that stuff more with other girls. *shrugs* Mind you, I'm about as far from an expert on this topic as possible (I don't do it, I don't talk about it, and I'm neither a girl nor a guy), so don't take my guess as fact. xp

Wait.. Didn't we make a turn away from this sometime during the 90s or 80s?
Or perhaps the U.S. is just straying behind a little bit on these things...

The fact that some people use "d***o" as an insult shows what people really think of it-- granted, guys can enjoy dildos I guess and I suppose dildos aren't the only way?

This is such a strange conversation, I am actually getting very awkward. But I definitely think that sex ed in the States sucks. I didn't know what the clitoris was until I actually was reading an article on how some countries circumcise women.

Technically yes, while in reality, not very much.

This irritates me for reasons I can't quite grasp.

People need to accept people for who dey be, not for social standards.

I don't hear about s**t because I stab people who even hint that they're about to go to said topic.
There are few things that I'm irritable about, and this is one of the things that put me in an uncomfortable and irate mood.

Another is if you ask me if I have a significant other. You will receive a death glare.

I personally have no problem talking about masturbation, It's just a topic that rarely crops up out of my friend group. ~Shrug~

Maybe because its not a topic generally brought up in conversation?

Within my group of friends chats about sexual activity are relatively common, as is the discussion of fun without others. (I dislike the word mastrubation, it just sounds so... clinical). We generally don't go talking about it around guys. Why? Because men generally seem to freak out when women talk about there sexual organs. However, when men talk about their's woman are supposed to sit there, listen and be impressed.

Yeah seriously, men seemed to be praised for how many women they sleep with, yet women are often shamed because of it. Branded. It's unfair. Then again, life is unfair. So no one really wins. It seems to be a shock now days to find an 18 year old male who is a virgin, yet it shouldn't be. Men shouldn't be expected to have sex with everything in a skirt, and women shouldn't be branded if they sleep around. People should just stop judging period.

I talk about masturbation with my boyfriend, friends... even my mom at times. I'm pretty open about it. Then again, my mom raised me in a way that she wanted me to be unafraid to talk about sex, masturbation, bla bla bla. So I feel free to talk about it.

OMG.
Depends on religion and culture. I know that no one in my family talks about it.
Last time I heard someone talk about it, they were like "I was making love to myself" because "I masturbate" was too crude. BLEH.
Also, I agree that women are seen as slutty or whorish if they have multiple partners or just sleep around, like some guys do.
