A area in the way back of the courtyard of the 10th squad a large patch of area where its been used so much the grass has worn off. and the ground has become hard its big enough for multiple groups to train at once.

Alex stands in-front of a group of shinigami all with wooden training swords one steps forth to challenge him along with 3 others each hold there swords at the ready alex stands there with wooden sword in hand and sips from a sake cup. as the 4 rush him at once he blocks one knocking it into another shinigami and ducks under another blow. while kicking the fourth one in the face. "good. you dont attack one at a time... most enemy's would be over whelmed but your not fast enough....." he said and he then snaps his fingers the shinigami who had attacked fall back in line and the group starts swinging there swords. as it snows lightly still. there is a soft powder on the ground.

Shira sighs, watching with a careful eye. Her feet dangle lightly from the tree, she's no intention to stay hidden. She knows she probably will be discovered soon. She keeps looking at the fallen shinigami, switching her attention back and forth between the shinigami, the snow, and Alex. She stands, careful not to slip off the branch.

Alex just watch's the shinigami go through stances and swing swords. all in unison. "good enough for the day take a break..." he then glances at the girl in the tree. another captain. "so how are you today Shira?" he asked tossing one the men his sword. he then walked over to the tree she was in and picked up his zanpakuto and put it through his belt again.

"Decent." she doesn't look at him, just leans against the tree. Her eyes continue to dart back and forth. She crosses her arms, the slight cold doesn't bother her. She sighs, her gaze turning from soft, to suddenly hard. She's thinking... completely forgetting that Alex is even there.

She glances at him, careful not to move the multiple strands from the side of her face. "I was just here." She sighs and jumps down from the tree, her sword manifesting on her back. "But I guess since I have nothing better to do, we might as well duel."

Alex laughed and draws his sealed zanpakuto and holds it with one hand. his grip is lose but firm were it wont get knocked out of his hand but its lose so he can twitch it at each blow in order or parry his opponents sword so it tires them out and he can get a flawless victory. his squad is also known for its duelist skills.
