One must walk from the streets of Nirvani and follow a path a distance till a jungle of green opens into sight. Here if one chooses to follow the path, they'll find that the trees are much taller in person. As they tower overhead a great two stories or three high, the canopy thickens in areas beyond the capability of the sun, suffocating the foliage below in areas to only leave life to the moss, fungus, and bits of grass to flourish. In other areas, the sun breaks through in great beams of light to give awe to the array of beautiful plant life. Various flowers grow in these areas, them being a majority of small violet, blue, and red sprouting from bushes. The foliage will vary greatly in species due to the meddling of man, but what once was unbalanced has now been forced into a sort of harmony with the woods. This forest can easily be mistaken as a jungle at times and, indeed, even the creatures that live inside would remind one vaguely of such fantastic tales of the jungles. Moose, bears, deer, boars, bright, colorful birds, snakes of great size, and many other dangers lurk here.

With the Summer nearing it's end and school looming around the corner, it had come to various parent's notice that the majority of the children of the island hadn't used their spare time constructively enough! Most of them appeared to be doing nothing but be lazy – what would they say when school started again and their teachers had asked them what they had done for the last fourth of the year to themselves? Nothing! Seeking to rectify that, the town's best parent had decided to step forward and ask the priest to help make sure at least some of the kids had something to show for the summer. Camping had somehow been suggested amidst the reluctant discussion and that is how Talna Hipp and Father Waldroup had found themselves at the edge of the forest. Talna normally would have had Turner come do this, but, upon learning of the girls that were participating, the woman had to tag along to make sure they would make proper prairie wives!

So, it was with Jacob that the woman had the family horse pull a caravan out of the way of the more modernized parts of town with the children in tow. It had only been an hour or so since they had all met up in the field outside of the church, the children with their own bags of things their parents felt necessary, but Vi was already holding back frustrated tears alongside a groaning Brian. “My leeegs hurt!! I'm thirsty! I have a blister! Why can't we ride on the stupid horse carriage thing?! This is STUPID! I want to GO HOME!” Brian cried out over the sound of the rickety wheels – it was stupid to go camping and he already hated it! He didn't know why his uncle had to agree to this dumb trip.. To make it even worse, the brunette he was walking beside just wouldn't shut up! At that thought, he snapped his head towards Vi and stuck his tongue at her, “Baaaby.

The girl shook her head at him and snapped at him from under her breath, “I am not. I miss my daddy and brother and I'm tired and – mmm.” She paused, her lips tightly screwed together to prevent a sob as she remembered she would be away for a long time. Her hands tightened on the straps of her backpack and Brian let out a snort, “Baby! Vi's bein' a BABY!” He looked to Xochiquetzal cheekily, though the girl didn't show any amusement in response. She simply continued to follow the caravan as if she were honestly asleep rather than actively ignoring the two banter beside her. It was Mimi, following a few feet behind, that gave any sort of response, “OMIGAWD – Vi's a baby?!” Her voice echoed out in a mix of awe and shock as she scurried up closer to the brunette, eyes wide with curiosity – she didn't know people could be babies! Just on a whim like that! Amazing! She should tell her daddy about it and he would give her lots of praise and then she would have candy and coffee and everything would be MAGIC –

OI.” Jacob boomed back at the children with a frown, Mimi's scream being the thing to officially annoy him into controlling the situation, “Brian, stop teasing, Mimi, don't shout, Vi, calm down, and.. Uh, Xochiquetzal, you're fine.” Goddess, he didn't know why he agreed to this. They hadn't shut up at all and he was about to be driven insane if this went on.

The Li children were quickly learning that life just wasn't fair. They dealt with a number of, in their opinion, injustices, considering their mother was slightly crazy. She had all sorts of odd, strict rules that they had to obey lest they risk another breakdown. Compared to the other children, that supposedly that made them more obedient, but there was a difference between following the rules because they knew it was the right thing to do, and obeying the rules because it was too much trouble to deal with the consequences.

Upon hearing of the camping trip, Mei had done as she usually did when faced with the other parents and teachers -- she fell into a state of guilt. She still felt horrible after Jian's arrest and being held back. No, it wasn't the fault of her precious son. It was because she was a negligent parent! And so when the opportunity to do right came across, she wasted no time in telling the children of their new plans. Jian had to go, of course, and Chun Fei, too. Even Yue had to pack her things into a backpack, even though she had spent the whole summer studying and felt that she had been plenty productive. But of course, it was the two who hadn't done anything wrong that felt they were being punished, while the troublemaker quite cheerfully powered on ahead.

"Are we gonna run into a bear?" he asked Jacob excitedly as he trotted alongside the man. Chun Fei, struggling to stay upright considering the giant pink backpack she was wearing, clung to his hand and avoided eye contact with the scary looking priest. "Or a Bigfoot? I'm gonna find the Bigfoot first! Have you seen a Bigfoot before? I bet Xochiquetzal hasn't ever seen one!" He glanced back at his arch nemesis. He couldn't let her win. She wasn't that special!

Yue rolled her eyes. Her brother was so obnoxious, couldn't he see that Jacob wasn't in the mood? What did she ever do to deserve being trapped in the woods with these noisy kids? Unzipping her backpack, she pulled out a book and began to absentmindedly flip through it as she walked. Maybe if she came across as dignified, she wouldn't have to share a tent with the loud redhaired girl.

On the other hand, Jeremy was quite excited to be out. His aunt Elliot had sometimes taken him out on walks before, and he and his mother often played camping in their living room with sheet forts, but this was his first time actually camping in the actual woods! He was here with his friends, and Jacob was funny. Talna was really nice, too. He had had a stupid grin on his face for most of the walk, and as he trotted behind the group, he stopped periodically to collect pine cones. By now, his arms were overflowing with the things. As he hurried to catch up with the group, he handed a pine cone to Talna as he passed. "Mimi! Mimi!" he called to his friend. "Lookit all the pine cones! Aren't they cool?" He proudly showed off his collection. He must have had eleven of them! "You can take one if you wanna. I can find more!" He held out a pine cone to his friend, smiling at her expectantly.

At the back of the group, Christopher kicked a rock out of his way as he shuffled. "This sucks," he mumbled under his breath. He didn't want to come. Sure, getting out of the house was okay, and he often poked around the woods anyway in search of bugs and things, but he didn't like having to do it in a group, especially a school group, made of kids all younger than himself. Cherry worked at the school, didn't she know what the intended age group was? Maybe she did know, and had demanded that he go to punish him. That was a low blow, he thought irritably. Here he was, stuck with a bunch of little kids, when he'd rather be in his room with his animals reading a book. The more he thought of what he could be doing if he weren't here, the worse his mood got.

Trailing along side the tiny campers was one young teen who had decided to take up an active role with the town. And what did he decide to do first? Well, it was pretty easy to deduce given the situation. Yes, young Virgel had volunteered himself to help out with the small little camping trip, he had always loved to help children as needed after all. The teen helper was walking along, dressed in cargo shorts, white T-shirt, a light colored baseball cap to shield his eyes from the sun, and his tan colored backpack for all his supplies. Virgel was all set up to brave the outdoors, even if it was on this less than exciting island. His brother often brought him on fishing trips, so this brought back a lot of memories, especially as he watched the kids. "Don't make such a fuss~" The boy's voice rang into the the multiple conversations as he walked up beside Vi and Brian, "It's only a bit farther so hang in there." Virgel's words were accompanied with a bright smile as he patted the young girl on the head, then marched ahead a bit more. He took a breath with each step, entrancing himself in the scenery. As well as blocking out some of the noise, kids could be noisy after all.

The third oldest on the trip was happily attached to the most condensed ball of energy in group. Icis, who would normally try to monopolize he young female friends, had decided to be a bit more lax and stick to Mimi, who was yapping away as usual. The older brunette didn't mind, maybe even liked, the ramblings of the small red head. And really, as long as Icis got to keep holding the girl's hand, she was content. That was, as content as she could be with all the guys around... The girl put up with them at school since, well that was just a normal part of school. However, she didn't quite like the idea of being around them on her off time. Actually, she didn't like the idea of camping on her off time either. But, she was going to persevere, for the girls. Yet, that didn't mean her mood wasn't going to be a bit sour, especially as she watched the teen boy pat little Vi on the head. It almost made Icis growl in the moment, but she held back, putting a smile on her own face. "Don't listen to Brian, Vi!" She spoke in her very sweetest voice, "Your such a good girl coming out all this way~"

Within the rambunctious group was one small little lady who had yet to open her mouth. Little Skyla hadn't really accepted that she was on a trip. In fact, the girl might have not even known she was on a trip, if it wasn't for constant usage of the word. All she remembered was that her father dropped her off with the group and that she would be spending the night somewhere. The tiny blonde pretty much thought of it as another sleepover, which she was okay with. However, all the walking was beginning to take a toll on the poor little thing. She struggled to keep up with the group, barely managing by holding onto the hand of one of their chaperones, Talna. Normally it would be Brooke Page's responsibility to bring Skyla along. However since the girl was in the wilderness, she decided it was best to stick with one of the adults. The adults were the bosses and they kept the children safe. Skyla knew and respected that much. So she made sure to stay as close as possible to Talna, in the form of a tight, as tight as she could manage, grip and small tugs to regulate the speed.

Brody • Kyle • O'Ballivan ⚓

Brody was psyched! They were going camping! This was AWESOME. When he had found out that the school kids were going camping he had begged his parents to let him go by himself. Eventually they had caved to the boys begging and he was now carrying a backpack full of things needed for this trip. Dressed in a pair of olive green cargo shorts with an orange tshirt Brody walked with the group, listening to what the others were saying, no one really seemed as excited as he was - but that's because they hadn't been camping with his Daddy or Uncle Cole before. They always made things fun! Hearing what an older boy said to some others Brody decided to be somewhat brave and go talk to him. He was older and Brody hoped he was cool, because there were a lot of girls on this trip and he needed a guy to hang out with too. In case the girls got too grossed out by dirt and worms and stuff. Gathering up all the bravery his little six year old body contained he walked up to the blue haired boy (Virgil) and asked a question. "Hey, do you think were going to go fishing or anything cool like that? Or are we just going to walk in the woods forever?"
