Unlike the rest of the wilderness, this area is a more recent invasion of the island – a corruption of what is meant to be. With a mayor that was fond of the exotic and unique, a zoo was akin to a flower garden meant to beautify an otherwise dull and boring island. There were many animals in this location – tigers, bears, penguins, gray wolves, and more, each with a peculiar name that seems to infuriate any of the surviving animals from these caged days. When the island was left uncared for, a careless sole zookeeper left a cage unlocked on a tiresomely long day. Which cage was it? One couldn't possibly know the answer to that. What one would know was that the animals took reign of the area, running loose and through weaker cages, over the few strong bars, or simply around when a door was found opened by one of the pesky, but clever, primates. What remains is a large series of cages and kiosks somewhere in the western part of the vast forest. Vines and weeds are already working their way into destroying whatever flimsy cages remain, while wildlife treats the area as a zone to be feared. One can only guess it has something to do with the resident Tasmanian devils that choose this to be their primary 'home'. Of course, even with the screeches scaring most away, these creatures are far more docile in this island for whatever reason.. Still, one should be wary.

It was midday. The sun was hot and the air was crisp. Talia was adorned with a light jacket and a tranquilizer gun thanks to past warnings. She knew several things could go wrong; however, that would never stop such a stubborn and proud young lady. When Talia said she would do something, she would do it with no questions ask.

Stumbling around the unkept trails that once made up the zoo's ground plan, Talia kept a weary eye on the surroundings. Calls from various creatures echoed throught the over grown foliage. The hair on the back of neck standing on end as if ready to be attacked. "No Talia, you'll be okay. You're always okay. You can do this." She gave herself a peptalk while taking in quick breaths between the sentences. The girl tried to calm herself, and then the sound of a stick breaking errupted before her. Without even thinking about it, she shot her gun. The little needle hit white fur. A beast stumbled forward, looking uphesitantly to Talia. "Oh gosh." She uttered, watching the animal fall onto its side. It was a panda bear.

The woman threw up her hands in disappointment at herself. The woman had just set to sleep one of the least attackive species around. 'Good job, Tally , Good job.' She thought bitterly. Sighing, the woman jogged over to the animal. It was full grown and healthy. Not much more to really report. Still. Talia took its blood while she had the chance and shoved it into her backpack. While the beast was out, she locked a tracker on its wrist before realizing that letting it just lay there would be a bad idea. She had just wasted good money on the machine wrapped around its leg and to leave it here defenceless would basically like giving the larger beasts a good snack. There was only one option left: To sit beside it and wait for it to wake up.

As so, the woman plopped down beside it, wrapping her arms around her knees. "Some scientist I've turned out to be. I've been here for weeks and barely anything done. What's the point?" Talia muttered and looked to the bear. Her hand went to its ear as if it were a dog as she continued, "What do you think, Popo? Should I give in?" Here she was, giving a nickname to a knocked out animal and petting it as if it cared. What a silly woman she was becoming.

-Eet Alvey-LeBlanc-

Today was to be a normal day. One of rummaging through the remains of the abandoned zoo, talk to Florence I, II, XXI, and perhaps even XXX. They were always such good friends~ I was always delightful! It even brought Eet bamboo to share! While II was such a hyperactive fella~ That gave Eet enough exercise! Now Eet had it's trusty leaves outfit perfect for today... well about a thousand of the fall leaves stuck to it after rolling around in the mud with Florence XXXI so... but today there were just a few covering it's face. It's eyesight was clear today! Which meant not random smacking to trees... As much as Eet loved them, they really freaking hurt... Things Eet got used to, but still disliked... Just as the doghouse over at Conor and Keith's house... It had kinda outgrown it.

But back to today... Today Eet roamed the trail, coming from the opposite direction a woman, Talia, was coming from. Sudden movements were normal around here, but words? That wasn't. It made Eet stop his crawl to listen around. What could that be? Then, the shot. That made Eet wary, glancing around frantically for a moment before the small shake of the ground happened. "...Eep?" Something fell. A panda. Not that Eet knew it was panda but still. Logic was lost as Eet went in search of the disturbance in the force. After a few seconds, Eet noticed it's fallen comrade, with a yellow head next to it. "Eeep..." If Eet were a vocal person, it probably would've yelled at the woman... instead narrow eyes took over as it moved toward the panda, slowly making it's leafed head appear behind the panda's sleeping form. Was it alive? ...Eet didn't know! Which was why.... "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPP!" So it did yell, well really screech... like a few inches behind the woman. Oh it wasn't because it was to scare her... no Eet had just realized this was Florence I!! Now it wasn't really caring about the woman, just launching itself on top of the panda bear into a hug. "...Florence..." The leaf covered thing said softly against the bear's fur.

Talia was genuinly surprised to see a person jump out of the forest. In all honest, she jumped as the figure immerged. "Oh! What!" Talia leaned against her far hand and twisted around to see the boy. She blinked twice with a dumbfonded look. "Woah kid. What are you doing out here? Where are your parents?" From what she could tell, the boy was quite a few years younger than herself in his teen years she guessed.

Her blue eyes examined the boy as he hug the panda. She wasn't sure to comfort him or to walk away. He appeared so unclean with his hair littered with leaves. For some reason, she felt the parents question would get a very sad answer. Talia decided to take her first option and inch closer to the boy with a soft voice, "Don't be worried. She's just sleeping. She'll get up in an hour and be all better." Talia offered him a soft grin and a hand, "Until then, why not understand each other better? I'm Talia. Call me Tally for short though."

-Eet Alvey-LeBlanc-

Obviously Eet ignored Talia's first words in favor of clinging to the sleeping panda. It's brown eyes eventually moved to the woman's when she said Florence would be all right. They stared at her for what seemed to be a long time before focusing back on the panda. It slip to the panda's front side, sitting next to her. After another moment Eet stared up at Talia, registering what had happened. Florence was sleeping... why? They were gonna snack on bamboo... Not nap... Well later, but after bamboo. "...Eet..." was all it said before copying her and lifting an arm, tho it shook it as if trying to get the leaves out, but the mud was preventing that, so instead Eet went back to looking up intensely at Talia, well Tally. Who was she anyways? And what was she doing here? It was then Eet noticed the gun next to her, and it's eyes widened, focusing on it before looking back up at her warily. "...Gun..." It wasn't as if Eet had seen a real one before-oh well perhaps the time it had startled Romane one morning at 4AM but aside from that simply movies Conor and Keith put up... They were shinier... and bigger in person.

She looked a little nervously at the hand he lifted which she was thankful Eet returned. It was unbelievably filthy. Talia was always one to assume and it was clear to her that this kid was homeless. They were almost savage. While studying him would be an interesting project, Talia perferred animals. Still, she should be kind. When he brought up her gun, the woman immediately looked to the object. She was more than hesitant to give it to him to see. If he had used it on her as if for revenge, she would be dead. So to avoid that, Tally answered while placing it into her bag, "Yeah, it's for the dangerous beasts. Your little friend just frightened me." Trying to be sneaky, Tally put her closer hand near the panda and pulled the dart from the animal. She hoped the boy wouldn't have noticed, if he did, she knew she would give him it as a gift. If he was here alone, how dangerous could it be to give him an empty dart? Talia saw no risk. Instead, she turned the conversation around, "So, do you live here? Are there any tigers?" She gave him a smile.

-Eet Alvey-LeBlanc-

It wasn't like Eet could use a gun... though watching Conor more often than not going on about cowboys with John, well it didn't take a genius to figure out what to do. Now dangerous beasts? No one was dangerous here... Everyone was nice. Just don't take their papayas... then the monkeys got mad... But Florence wasn't dangerous! Flo-Flo was nice! Eet continued to stare at Talia, watching her move about, though it did noticed the dart, just a dot of it disappearing, it didn't say anything, simply watching her. Live here? Sometimes, to which Eet shrugged. It usually slept in different areas, but sometimes it stayed here. As for the tigers... "Yeah... Few..." They usually brought Eet something to eat. Would she shoot them to? Oh that thought made Eet narrow it's eyes before thinking it could simply steal the gun and throw it at the river, to calm that thought away. There was much to figure out about this woman... Eet wasn't letting her out of it's sight... not after stumbling into it's domain.

So he could understand her after all, Talia noted as he answered her question on tigers. Maybe more communication could be made which could save her days of searching. Talia's hand took to the pandas ear as she began to massage it. It comforted her more than anything; however, the peacefulness did not last. The bear began to awake as the drugs finished their course. It began to awaken, its eyes flickering as its head shook once. "Oh, looks like your friend is up. Florence you said, right?"

-Eet Alvey-LeBlanc-

Of course any focus Eet had on the woman were gone when the panda began to awake. That brought a smile to the teenager's face as it waited patiently for the animal to sit... which took a few for the drugs to completely lose their hold on it. "Graaaaa...." Whatever Eet said wasn't entirely-well not understandable, at all. The panda did seem to recognize the human before a very sweet embrace happened between them. Surely Eet, as skinny as it was, was being held in the air by the panda. "...Graaa" said Eet happily. Why did that lady shoot Florence anyways? The panda always behaved! Which brought it to... "Eh" grumbled the boy, looking over to Talia, still hanging in Florence's arms, paws, extremities. She had to apologize for that. "...Eh..." Well, with a narrow gaze and a stubborn look, Eet tended to forget words could help express it's thoughts. But nothing in Nirvani made sense, why should Eet?

Talia was peaceful as the bear waked, until it grabbed onto the young teen. Immediately Tal jumped to her feet and reached for her gun in her bag. Without a second thought, she pulled it out and yelled, "Let him go!" The woman had very little faith that her words would be heard by the beast but she was patient with her trigger. Talia wouldn't shoot until it moved. Sure, Talia had hit the animal once for no good reason but that didn't matter now. Her amber eyes shot to Eet's to see that he was almost squinting. 'Oh gosh, he's becoming unconcious! Talia think! Think!' Yet, Talia didn't have time to shoot the bear for a branch broke behind her. The woman turned around as fast as she could; however, by the time she shot, the beast had already jumped. The little dart plunged into the tiger's chest but it kept its movement.

The animal crashed before Talia, managing to drag its claw through an inch about her hip right hip. "Ack" Talia cried, finding herself pushed backwards. The pain was intense. She wanted to just stay on the ground and rest but she couldn't. Talia knew is she remained where she was, the tiger would have an ample chance to take a few others swips before it went down. With adrenaline pumping through her viens, Talia stumbled to her feet and ran. She dared not turn around and look.

Talia didn't stop until she was several meters away when she stumbled and fell. Her head tilting itself on the ground to see a far motionless object of orange and black. With the creature down, now was her time to get out. Talia ripped a piece off of her pants and pressed it onto her wound. The contact stung, but she had to stop the bleeding. With some effort and pain, Talia moved herself onto her legs. Her movements awkward and slow. She tried to smile at Eet, but it was weak. She should tell him, "Eet, I'm going to the hospital. You can come too. Sorry - ah." The pain stopped her midsentence. She tried to restart again but her stomach felt like it was twisting. Talia couldn't say much. "Just, be safe. Kay?" Another forced smile as she limbed her way along.

She half-hoped the boy would follow, but if not, that was okay too. This was life after-all: Free, unexpected, and unsettling.

-Eet Alvey-LeBlanc-

This left a very confused Eet. Why was she getting so agitated? Florence wasn't doing anything... Except looking at the woman in confusion for yelling at it. Now Eet was let go of when another figure was there with them, harming Talia. The teen had scurried over to the panda's side, trying to figure out what had happened... Blood? Tiger? Running Talia? Ack! Eet tilted it's head watching the sleeping tiger for a moment before turning it's gaze to where Talia went. She stopped to call out to him but... She was gone. "Graa" it merely said to Florence, leaving along with the panda to a safer part of the zoo. Hey, that tiger was never happy with whoever came around... Not even Eet.

-Exit Eet...-

OOC: It's fine =P Nobody ever assumes, just keeps it as it.
