I should just pre-order it that way I'll get a call eventually when GameStop has it. rolleyes You get a call when the pre-orders get there? I sure dont... either that or I beat em to the punch by showing up the day of to get it as they open (literally... for Homecoming, I was standing there when the people pulled up in their cars to unlock the doors) xd But that really sucks, because the HD package was supposed to be my time burner until Downpour's release! So much Silent Hill releasage at once, it's going to overload my brain lolz sweatdrop Yeah, usually GameStop either calls or sends an email letting you know as soon as your copy is ready to be picked up. The HD package... IDK if I am going to get it yet. I may wait for the price to drop a bit and buy used. Yea I never buy anything at face value, but all I can say is whoever turns in a used copy better do it quick stare Otherwise I may need to find where they live and take whats deservingly so mine. razz Ha ha I was almost that desperate when I was waiting to playing Homecoming. BlueChick78 Ha ha I was almost that desperate when I was waiting to playing Homecoming. I was on the verge of pre-ordering when I realized I didn't have a PS3... I only got my PS3 a year ago. So between September 30, 2008 and January 3rd, 2010, I was a mess waiting to play the game--even though I heard from all my SH friends that it was not worth it. I ended up buying SH: SM in the meantime and for the first time since SH1, playing the games out of order. Now I've been waiting on Downpour since like February 2010. UGH JUST WANT That does sound like hell, and I hope you weren't disappointed with Homecoming. A lot of negative feedback was on this forum as well, but I still went through with getting it. I loved it and have played it at least 4-5 times.

I hate the fact that the graphics are horrible and that the story is so incorrect in conjunction with the larger Silent Hill Mythos, but it was an ok game to play. I've played it a dozen or so times. I like the difference in combat systems.

I like the difference in combat systems. Ill admit, honestly, I think Silent Hill 4 had better graphics even in large respects for certain animations and even gameplay. And the combat was awesome lol, gotta love unlocking the laser pistol xd I play every silent hill game just waiting for the gag costumes or weapons. sweatdrop

Oh the Laser Pistol. I thought the Circular Saw would be really fun, but it isn't as easy to use as it seems it would be. Makes beating Curtis with just a knife more realistic once you actually *try* to use the circular saw.
I think Young Alex is my favorite costume... though Deputy Alex is a close second. I really wish they would've included military fatigues as an extra costume. That was a MEGA FAIL to me. :c

That was a MEGA FAIL to me. :c I agree, and I don't understand why in every silent hill game the "saw" weapons are an epic fail. Especially when in 2 and 4 they were unlockables... they should be OUTSTANDING. But I think the Deputy outfit was my favorite, considering after i unlocked all of them, I still kept going back to it. And you raise an interesting point... why no military fatigues?

I seriously feel cheated out of those fatigues.
I mean, either way you look at it, it would've been a perfect extra outfit. I mean his default outfit comes with a military jacket, but it isn't the same thing.
HIGHLIGHT FOR SPOILERZ:
If you want to believe that he really is crazy, it would be easy to believe he went to an Army surplus store and purchased some old fatigues to complete his hallucination of being a soldier.
OR
If you believe he really was in the military and that his father lied to him (like me), then it would make sense for him to have some fatigues when entering Silent Hill which is a war zone in its own right.

really? i'll go ask Gamestop if thats true, but i thought the HD collection was set for March 6th?
anyway, if you guys dont know the prices (for those still thinking about getting both games)
$40 for the HD collection (all HD collections, whatever the game may be, will always be $40)
$60 for Downpour

Luckily, I have been fortunate enough to pay off my reservation for Downpour, so I can be right there with the rest of ya on the SH frontlines twisted I honestly cannot wait to see all the posts that come from these new releases... it's hardly fair to say that those release dates are only for the games, when in all actuality, they also confirm and mark a definitive date in which we, as deeply devoted fans, pry every pixel creators worked so hard to place in search of information, theories, and background. Like a steak well-done, it's got my mouth watering. 3nodding

Skyrim's big thing is "by Ysgramor's beard!" Lol being pagan myself, I try to find several ways to incorporate the old sayings. However, don't be alarmed if an undead scary as hell dragon swoops in on Downpour for some unknown reason eek Maybe the main character took some white claudia before he escaped the bus crash and he's hallucinating some crazy shtuff xp
