Captain of Squad 9
Torik appeared outside the door to his office using Shunpo, he had just arrived from the Captain Commander's meeting. Not only was Shan promoted to Captain Commander, but Torik was promoted to Captain. This was truly unexpected, he wasn't even sure if he deserved the title. The new Captain walked in calmly and quietly, as if nothing had changed. He had not yet been given a Haori, so Sayuri didn't know he had been promoted. The only ones who knew were the Captains and Lieutenants that were in the Meeting Hall when he had been promoted. Torik walked over to his desk and removed his Lieutenant badge from his arm and placed it on his desk. "Well, it looks like I will no longer be the Squad Nine Lieutenant, Sayuri." He said calmly to her with a warm smile. Torik sat down behind his desk, cross legged, and faced Sayuri and her zanpaktou spirit. "I am the new Captain of Squad Nine." He said calmly and warmly, wondering what Sayuri's reaction would be to this news. Torik chuckled nervously for a moment, he still had to take the Captain's Exam, but for the time being he was the acting Captain until he was made official when he takes the test.
