Personality: Arturo has been known to make remarks that are cold-hearted in nature and unfeeling to those around him. The simple fact of the matter is that he doesn't really care about those around him, unless they can really make an impression upon him. His remarks aren't his only unfeeling actions. His simple demeanor and fighting style, along with his manners can be un-feeling. He knows that he is in a position of power and he will exploit it, dubbing himself superior and taking control. He'll also ignore any comments he feels are unnecessary, and kill anyone who feels is a waste of air. His air of arrogance that he carries about him may demand respect, but it also demands fear. Others should know that he will kill without hesitation, and will hesitate when thinking about sparing someone.
Intelligent-
Arturo may be unfeeling, but he is also intelligent. He'll make un-feeling remarks, but never a STUPID remark. This means that he thinks twice before doing something that could possibly endanger him or someone who has actually managed to enter his circle of respect. The same can be said for his approach to situations. He accesses them and thinks of a solution before acting, some call him left brained for it but it doesn't faze him a bit.
Respectful-
Now this section of his personality should be taken in moderation. Let it be understood that this term may not refer to Arturo, but the way he acts towards some others. He himself is usually seen as a mean person, and although he is still a good leader and fighter and may deserve respect, he often doesn't get it. This however, does not affect the fact that he knows that there are other creatures above him on the food chain. For all of those people who have achieved this status, instantly gain Arturo's respect and reverence.
Withdrawn-
Arturo often keeps to himself in his free time, differing to read or train instead of socialize with his colleagues. This has led to a lack of association between him, the espada, or the other arrancar. This means that starting an open conversation with him would be a task to be remembered for centuries to come, a legend as rare as the god key itself.
Self-respecting-
Arturo respects himself and his being. He has no qualms over who he is and appreciates the fact that he was so gifted in the art of battle and that he was able to become an arrancar. It's damn near impossible to bring him down and any who try often meet unfortunate fates.
Prophetic-
Arturo's personality is one of prophetic nature. This doesn't mean he can tell the future or draw symbolic pictures. It just means that he believes fates are locked in place. He knows he will die one day, he knows everyone else will die someday, and more importantly he knows everything will come to an end….everything. This leads him to act the way he does and often results in a strange imbalance of good and evil.
Tactical-
Tactical maneuvers and strategies are a large part in Arturo's overall scheme of life. If someone can't think on their toes or plan ahead into a situation then that person is obviously something short of worthy to be a shinigami, arrancar, Quincy, or even a human. Arturo prides himself in being able to come with a solution to many problems, both with associates and in battle, and this has led him to be very arrogant, if not cocky.
Close Minded-
Arturo suffers from a slight in-ability to change his ways. People have tried to talk him out of the things he does and the way he acts, but to no avail. His strategies, combat styles, and personality are almost set in stone. It would take a very difficult opponent to force him to change and even then a change is rare.
Decisive-
Once Arturo sets his mind on something or decides something is necessary, he carries through with it till the end. Whether this involves killing someone, saving someone, breaking something, or repairing something it doesn't matter. Never try to change him or deter him from his goals, you'll likely be greeted with nothing but a strong no and a painful laceration.
Spartan-
Arturo's interests lie with the simple things in life. He doesn't indulge himself in worldly pleasures, nor does he was his time on worldly activities. The decorations of his private quarters are a fine testament to this proclamation. They are barren in nature, retaining the bare minimum required to be called a "Living Space". The same can be said for his manner of acts. He tends to be serious and almost never gives up, much like the ancient Spartans themselves.
Pessimistic-
Arturo looks at the glass half empty. This isn't all bad though, for it lets him see and usually comprehend the downsides of a plan. This fragment of his personality only holds true at certain times. His pessimistic side is only drawn out when he suffers a particularly depressing experience or fight, much like any normal living being. He doesn't like to lose and he makes it obvious when it does.
Fanatical-
Arturo is what you can call a "Fanatic". Not only does he respect his superiors, but he becomes fanatically devoted to them. He would die for them, live for them, fight for them, speak for them, and take the blame for them. It's all a matter of destiny to him. He was destined to be weaker than some others and some others were destined to be stronger than him. He sticks to this principle, but who knows....he may decide to change. Resurrecion Appearance: Arturos Resurrecion Resurrecion Release Appearance: To release his resurrecion, Arturo must first place his sword into the ground. He says the release phrase then slams his foot on the tip of his blade and instead of going through his foot the sword sinks into the ground. Everything will then immediately go quiet, but after a moment a huge blast of reiatsu will engulf Arturo and send a massive shockwave of sound out in all directions. This shockwave will push enemies back, and if they are weaker than a vice-captain, they'll suffer from temporary deafness and vision distortion (2 turns). When all of the dust caused by the reiatsu clears, Arturo's released state can be seen.
Arturo's appearance changes drastically once he enters his resurrecion. His hair immediately is drained of its blonde sheen, instead being replaced with a dank black. It also grows a considerable length and becomes a straight style that continues on till it reaches the small of his back. Alongside his hair, long tendrils can be seen. These tendrils are highlighted by sleek lines of crimson that run along the sides. His skin suffers the same fate, changing from their unblemished paleness, to a bleak and un-welcoming grey. Strange markings also appear around Arturo's eyes and reach all the way around to his ears. Speaking of his eyes, they too change. The innocent and clear blue that usually resides within his eyes is quickly corrupted and changed to a blood-like crimson.
His clothing is altered beyond belief, completely changing in color to become a midnight black. Some features of his previous apparel influence this form. Some examples of this are as follows; the high collar that Arturo sported in his pre-release form still is evident in his resurrecion. It is now a black color and is spiked in multiple places. It also arches up around Arturo's traps. Another example is evident around his shoulders. Where there used to be large, cushioned build ups of fabric, there is now a sharp bone like structure that reaches out in many directions. Three particular points flare back and serve as conjoining points for fin like structures. Other than that though Arturo's new look is as follows. His chest is covered by black bone like plating that comes together at points around his sternum. There are also some areas of the plating that are covered by small bunches of red muscle fibers (Upper and lower pectorals areas). Two rather un-fascinating orbs are located at either side of Arturo's chest. Each one is mostly a red color, but contains some highlights of white. Another thing that should be pointed out is the fact that this plating is extremely lightweight and takes the form of Arturo's natural muscle frame, allowing for maximum flexibility and a maximum reduction in drag.
His arms and legs are also covered in a similar bone like plating. On his arms, the black plating covers the areas around his triceps, biceps, forearms and hands. The same red fibers that are located on his chest are also found on his appendages, being mainly located around the forceps and lower wrist area. A small sliver of the fiber is also located in the small space between Arturo's bicep and triceps, running down his upper arm until it joins his forceps. Large spikes in the plating protrude from Arturo's arms around the lower regions of his forearm, serving as a breaking point for drag and also as a minor defense. His hands are covered almost completely in black plating and each finger ends in an extremely sharp claw, matching the sharpness of a zanpaktou point.
His legs are decorated much the same as his arms. The first noticeable feature of his armor is his waist. Curved protrusions in his armor are apparent at each waist and continue down behind his body, forming a blazer looking design. His inner thighs are covered in smaller segments of his signature black plating, each one joined with the next by a red muscle fiber. This type of pattern continues down the whole leg until it gets to the shins. The shins are covered in one single plate for obvious defensive reasons. His feet look human in nature but each toe ends in an extremely sharp claw. Resurrecion Release Command: "Sire" Resurrecion Abilities: While in this form, Arturo gains access to a plethora of abilities that incorporate sound and vampirism. His sword from his pre-resurrecion re-appears and doubles. The two swords then split in half, forming four individual blades. These four individual blades then "Shatter" into hundreds of small bats that form into a cloud behind the arrancar. If an opponent uses a long ranged reiatsu based projectile, then the bats swarm in front of Arturo, eating away at the projectile and absorbing almost all of the reiatsu. This is meant to force the opponent into a close ranged fight. The bats can't absorb ALL types of attacks though. They can only completely absorb the reiatsu from attack that have originated from someone below vice captain rank. If a vice-captain or a captain uses a ranged reiatsu attack the following will happen. A vice-captains kido or attack will break through with 25% of its power intact. A captain will be able to break through the bats with 80% of their attack intact.
Arturo's sound abilities are based around a close-ranged concept. Almost all of them incorporate a sonic boom of some kind and internal damage, likely to the nervous system. His speed is drastically enhanced, along with his skin's defense.
He can release strong bursts of reiatsu and sound at point blank range, capable of completely tearing a hole in your body if you don't dodge. This attack is almost passive and is automatically released with every blow. Also, Arturo's claws constantly vibrate back and forth at sonic speeds, making it look like they are blurred, when they are really just moving faster than the eye can read. If an opponent tries to block his claws with the BLUNT side of their blade, then the wearing effect the vibration would have on the sword would make it considerably easy to break through the blade. Also, if someone clashes their blade against his hands then they will make contact, but will be immediately repulsed afterwards.
Now his weakness in this form you ask? Well for starters almost all of his attacks are limited to close range, meaning a close range combatant would have a much better chance against Arturo than a ranged fighter. Furthermore, Powerful ranged fighters that are able to break through Arturo's bats can easily take him on, picking him apart from long range. Resurrecion Attacks: Sonido Raja- Whenever Arturo thrusts his claws forward, and extremely narrow yet immensely powerful blast of reiatsu and sound explodes from his fingertips. The attack is indicated by the small "Bang" sound of a sonic boom and carries enough concussive force to rip a hole through someone's body. This attack can be blocked by a zanpaktou, but only the zanpaktou of an opponent of equal or higher strength. . This attack causes almost no strain on Arturo's reiatsu reserve and is almost passive in nature. So LET IT BE KNOWN that almost every strike Arturo makes in his resurrecion will be accompanied by one of these blasts. These blasts appear to be a brief flash of white energy.
Devorar- Whenever an enemy below vice captain stature fires a ranged reiatsu based attack, the swarm of bats that form behind Arturo automatically attack the projectile, quickly ingesting and storing the energy. The bats then reform into their cloud behind Arturo. If Arturo begins to run low on energy or is severely injured, he can destroy the Bats and all of the reiatsu they stored immediately returns to him. Someone who is a third seat or below will be able to destroy the bats, but not with enough power left in the technique to do damage. Anyone of vice-captain rank will be able to break their kido through the bats with about 25% of the kido's power intact. Also, all kido above 90 will fully break through, but only when being wielded by a vice-captain or captain. A captain can break through the bats with ease, leaving 80% of their attack intact. Finally, these bats reform two minutes after they are destroyed. A maximum of 2 projectiles can be absorbed at once.
Oprimar- With this technique, Arturo compresses and compounds all of his bats into two large wings. These wings then attach themselves to his back, melding with his body on his shoulder blades. These wings are, essentially, all of the reiatsu from the bats condensed so tightly that they take a solid form. While in this form, Arturo's speed is drastically increased. He can block the zanpaktou of anyone who is 3rd seat or below when they are putting reiatsu into their blade. He can fly at speeds just below the speed of sound, meaning he's extremely fast but you can still perceive his movements. These wings can no longer absorb kido, but are razor sharp at the edges and operate just like his claws (Vibration wise). This means they basically make him vulnerable at long range, but extremely potent at close range. Segunda Etapa Appearance: none Segunda Etapa Abilities: none Segunda Etapa Attacks: none
Hollow/Arrancar Techniques: (Cero, Bala, Sonido, Negacion, etc)
Reiatsu Control- With his expert reiatsu control coupled with his large pool of reiatsu, he can stop his own balas/ceros in air, and change their direction and/or make them explode at any moment. When stopping his balas, he can hold them in place for a maximum amount of three post. After that time, they will explode automatically. He can change the cero/balas direction indefinitely, as many times as he wants, but, for only three post they can they stay in the motion before exploding prematurely. The size is relative to all regular balas or ceros, unless he uses more reiatsu to make them larger.
Bala - The technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure and fires it like a bullet from their fist. Though weaker than a cero blast, it moves about twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate.
Cero - High-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers.
Hierro - Refers to the hardened skin of the arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released zanpakutou bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger arrancar have proportionally stronger skin.
Sonido - The arrancar equivalent of the shinigami flash steps and the Quincy hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of son¨ªdo is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for flash steps.
Garganta - How arrancar move to and from Hueco Mundo. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway.
Close-Range
Since Arturo is a close-range fighter, his fighting style is naturally tuned to fit close range situations. He prefers to force the opponents into close range by using his resurrecions abilities then ripped them to shreds with his claws. This doesn't mean that he isn't open to wearing them out a long distance, but his natural abilities are much more suited to a hand to hand confrontation. He incorporates powerful, short range concussive blasts into his general plans to allow for ultimately efficiency within about 2 feet of an opponent.
Offensive/Defensive
Arturo's natural abilities lead him to take an offensive style of fighting that incorporates defensive mechanisms. He prefers to stay on the attack the whole match, keeping the enemy off their toes and continuously gaining forward momentum. Not only does this tactic keep Arturo in control of the fight's pace, but it also wears down on the opponent's defense's. This doesn't mean that Arturo's love for offensive attacks lessens his defense. It's quite the opposite actually. As many have said "Offense is the greatest defense" and with Arturo this statement holds true. Arturo's offensive attacks often double as a defensive maneuver. This is mainly attributed to Arturo's control of sound....
Savage
Arturo's fighting style is naturally of a more savage nature. He'll pound and pound away at you until you drop and won't rest for a second. This is often to his advantage, but if the opponent is highly intelligent and powerful, they could use it against him. Arturo is different. He knows how to use the advantages of a close ranged release to its max.
Determination
Arturo's determination to win and succeed in life has allowed him to bypass the norm. When in battle, he can focus on his enemy and not himself, allowing him to ignore the pain or physical fatigue that may lurk on his mind. The pain is still there of course, but a mind of steel allows him to shut it out and replace it with more constructive and beneficial thoughts
Hand to Hand Combat
Due to the nature of Arturo's release, hand to hand combat is a natural affinity that allows him to best many others. His strikes move at blinding speeds and he is able to block and counter almost any zanpaktou with his hands alone. This of course is only possible in his resurrecion, but that's not the point. The point is that he has made it a top priority to hone his hand to hand combat. There's no need to even bear a weapon for this man, making him a deadly combatant on the field of battle with or without a blade
