He had grown this hatred over the years since his own family had been taken away from him. His loving wife Nura, and daughter Kara. They were taken away from him, victims of a hit and run by families such as these, in a tragic hit and run.

Only he escaped. Only he survived.

And the family escaped persecution. Money talked. He would make them pay. He would make them all pay.



Daniele was doing a favor for a friend of the family. The parents wanted a night out so the teenage Baptiste agreed to babysit for their two small children. The family lived in a quaint, upscale neighborhood in a two story house.

Dani as her friends called her, waved good-bye to the parents as they pulled out of the drive and went along their way for this long awaited night out. She had no idea that she was being watched.

Dani closed the door and locked it, and looked around at the spacious house, impressed at the size and decor. She set her school books down on the sofa and was about to go upstairs to look in on the kids when the phone rang.

She picked it up and said, "Hello?"

"Have you checked the children?"

There was no sound coming from upstairs, where the children were playing in their bedroom. Instead, the phone rang again.

And rang.

And rang.

When Dani picked it up, the same cold, muffled voice spoke.

"Have you checked on the children?"

This time, the person on the other end hung up before Danielle could answer.

The phone started ringing again. By the time Danielle reached it, it had rung nearly ten times. When she picked it up, the same low voice spoke.

"Is your refrigerator running?"
