Unfortunately, It's not easy for me to break any type of habit. I try, but I can't seem to stop entirely. I want to not cuse any more (as an example, and true), but every time I think I have, I do it again. Please someone, help me to stop this repetitiveness before I get myself in trouble for it...

What i tend to do is instead of actually using the swear words ill say something different... like instead of say the 'f' word ill say friggin or something like that... so you could try that...
Other then that all I can is to pray about it... God will help you, you just need to ask Him to...
Anyways Good Luck! and I'll be praying for you!! 3nodding

Even using replacement words doesn't honestly work. Why? Because everyone knows what you mean when you say them. I have a problem with cursing, though I'm glad to say it's only slight. Before last night where I had a meltdown as a mix of not enough sleep, too much stress, and a guitar that refused to tune, when I did mutter one while also calling myself an idiot, I hadn't cursed in 4 months. Just keep prqying that God will help you with it.
ne of my youth pastors, Dori, said she used to have a cussing problem. So, whenever she felt the urge to exclaim anything, good, bad, or otherwise, she'd say, " Slap a monkey in the face!" And so I try to do the same. It's alot of fun! Plus, no one knows what you mean, nor do you. It becomes a generic term of expression and nothing more.
