Hanako Kaguya chuckled as she watched the interaction between Kaito and Arina. It was slightly entertaining to see the compassionate healer and the care-free hedonist interact over an accident. It was all good and fun, until somebody got hurt, and then it was hilarious, at least to the White Rose. There was a certain bit of enjoyment in seeing people flap about due to minor injuries that weren't serious. However, during the accident, and while Arina was inquiring if she should go retrieve some goods to assist in healing Kaito, Hanako's mother had already returned from the kitchen with a sprig of aloe vera and was handing the leaf to the medical kunoichi. "I keep this plant in the kitchen for just the occasion. I'm sure you know what it is, and can instruct your squad-mate on how to apply it to the burns?", the kind woman asked with a bit of a mischievous grin. It was obvious there was some held back laughter at the situation, though Gigi piped up as he always had a habit of doing at times like these, "Now there ain't no growth if you go about giving people that plant remedy garbage. What the guy needs is a few more drinks to loosen up and that ol' pain will be a distant memory." The crotchety elder said with a firm nod of his head, as if he had just given sagely advice that should be observed and honored. Hanako grinned at Gigi's words, she loved her grandfather's usual tendency to add a bit of needed grit and rough edges to times like these. It only added to the comical value of the fact that Arina had likely caused some pain to a sensitive region of their male counterpart.
Meanwhile, as that situation was resolved, however it was resolved; Hanako had excused herself from the table and went up stairs to prepare her room with extra beds, rolling out the classical padded sheets and then setting them with blankets and pillows for the two. They would have to get used to sleeping as a squad, and that whole awkward business of Kaito being a guy with a couple of girls would be something he would need to adjust to. The notion did not bother Hanako in the grand scheme of things as she had no real desire for romance or intimacy of any form, as a matter of fact, any approach would likely be met with some form of violence as a response to the attempt to woo her. She was pretty to look at, and painful if one tried to get too close, living up to her alias as the White Rose of the Kaguya family in truth. "I hope this works for them.", she said to herself as she looked over the accommodations once more to make sure that everything was in order and provided them all the comforts they could expect in being guests in her family's home. "If they can handle my family's antics, then I think we will get along just fine. Seems the ancestors have sent me appropriate team members to assist me in my goal.", she muttered as she clapped her hands together before ending a silent prayer to her ancestors before she set her incense holder up in the window and lit a single stick of sandal wood to burn in offering to those who came before her in the clan in order to honor their memories and to hopefully receive their blessings and protections in the days to come. There was a slightly ominous feeling about events to come to pass and that she might find herself put to the test.
While Hanako was upstairs performing her Shinto prayers to her ancestors and setting up the room for the two squad mates, her family would entertain the two, supplying their usual antics and entertainment due to their habit of being rowdy and roughing each other up, before the first of the family to retreat stood up. "Nighty...Im sleepy now.", Saki said as she yawned and stretched before running over to her father and hugging him and then to her mother, repeating the gesture of affection. She then bowed politely to Kaito and Arina. "Sis is up the stairs down the hall, you gonna be sleepin' in her room." the miniature version of the elder sibling said before she skipped off happily out of the room and up the stairs as well, the distant sound of a closing door obvious that she had retreated to her room for the night. "I suppose that's a good idea...You kiddos are supposed to do some missions or something tommorow anyway.", the grandmother said with a kind smile to Arina and Kaito before she reached under the table and pulled out a shogi board. It was time for the adults to enjoy the evening and Gigi chuckled as his wife seemed to set up their favorite game. "Yeah, you whipper snappers need to pop on up the stairs. Its adult hour.", he chuckled as it was clear they were going to likely engage in their own form of winding down the evening.

Amongst all the commotion with the tea incident, Kaito looked across the table to see Hanako chuckling slightly at his misfortune. This was the response he was expecting with this family, as the others around had began to do the same. "Real funny buttholes... My jimmies got deep fried...." Kaito moaned as he watched Hanako's mother disappear and reappear almost instantly with Aloe Vera in hand. "Oh my, you're my life saver... Thank you SO MUCH!" Kaito had been burned a beaten a few other times before, he needed to instruction with the plant. Slowly and surely the Akimichi would get to his feet, aloe in hand. "Hey errr wheres the closest bathroom?" Following the instructions given he would sneak away from the table doing some awkward wobble, aloe in the right hand, jimmies in the left. Although it should be noted he would wait to grab his jimmies until he was facing away from the table. He wasn't that much of a slob ya know!
Upon his arrival to the restroom he'd drop his drawers and quickly apply the aloe to all his burned up areas. A cool refreshing feeling quickly overpowered the painful spots, which made him let out a sigh of relief before he'd take a tinkle and pull his pants back up. It was finally almost bed time, and Kaito couldn't have been anymore happy about that. The akimichi reentered the room he'd left just moments ago noticing the group had shrunk by about two. Hanako and her sister Saki had disappeared probably getting everything ready for bed. This was good news to say the least. Arina and Kaito would conversate a few minutes with the family before being instructed how to reach Hanako's room. With a final wave Kaito would say his famous last words before exiting. "Well was nice meeting you all, except you Gigi." Kaito chuckled before continuing on. "Can't wait til the next time!" And with that Arina and Kaito would leave towards the bedroom.
Following the instructions given they would climb the stairs and make their way towards the bedroom. "Family was pretty fun, really everything was pretty fun besides..." Kaito pointed towards his junk, which was toasted pretty badly. "So can we say were even know and go back to you not hating me yet? I won't smash anymore of your bags as long as you promise to not throw anymore hot tea at me!" Kaito raised his right hand placing it on Arina's should chuckling. The last thing he needed right now was his teammates to not like him, so surely that was be the first thing to fix on his to do list. The duo would soon enter the bedroom which their third teammate was already inside waiting. "Twas' a good time Hanako, you gotta bring me over more often I had a blast. Plus I owe your dad an arm wrestling match!" The drunkard smiled before laying himself down and continuing his speech. "So a quick warning, sometimes I snore I hear so just throw something at me and I'll wake up. Sooooooryyyyyyy..."[/b Chuckling he'd lay his head down and rest it on his arm. Surely he would doze off soon.

INDENT“Thank you,”Arina regarded Hanako’s mother whom had promptly retrieved a sprig of aloe vera to assist in relieving the pain that Kaito must have been experiencing. The young girl bowed her head ever so slightly in respect before grasping the plant from the woman’s open palm. Meanwhile, Kaito was mouthing off in what seemed to be a per the usual kind of demeanor for the genin from everything that Arina had witnessed thus far. When he had proclaimed something about his savior to the mother of Hanako and tried to snatch the aloe from her own hands, the girl had began to grow irritated but allowed him to grab the plant retreating to the nearest washroom to tend to his wounds. She had been the reason that he needed the aloe in the first place; though her mannerisms had changed dramatically from worry and care to something more similar to boredom.
INDENTArina returned to her section of the table quietly listening to the antics of the family and only talking a little when invited to speak up or when the girl felt she could add something of relevance. It was not long before Saki, the younger sister of Hanako, retired herself from the family gathering giving a little advice about how to navigate the hallways to the appropriately prepared room before making her disappearance. Kaito had only been back for a few minutes when the elders advised them to make haste in preparing for the night considering that they would have a long day of missions ahead of them come the break of dawn. The young girl nodded in agreement pulling herself up into a standing position and gave a quick bow of respect for the elders’ wishes. The young girl noted the shogi board before speaking, “Thank you for the wonderful dinner. It was nice to meet you. Also, my money is on grandmother.”
INDENTArina smirked before turning on her heels to continue forward towards their destination. Kaito was on her heels and from what he said; the young girl was not for sure whether he really wanted to settle things or stir them further. “I never claimed to hate you. I just find contempt in your actions,” the young kunoichi stated bluntly before finding themselves upon the bedroom. The girl allowed the conversation to drop for the time being; there was nothing really further to speak upon. She certainly would not allow who he was as a person to deter the young woman from performing to the utmost of her capabilities. Kaito complained about a snoring issue which he should probably have looked at considering there could be more serious underlying issues at hand. “It will not bother me,”Arina stated plainly while settling down in the left most prepared sleeping area. She allowed her hair to fall freely while setting the hair tie nearby on the floor continuing her response to Kaito about his snoring issues, “I fall asleep almost instantaneously. I will probably be asleep long before either of you.” The girl snickered laying her head down upon the pillow and closing her eyes just for a moment to rest, “Thank you for everything Hanako.” The words were barely audible coming out more similar to a comfortable mumble than anything else and before she knew it, the young kunoichi had drifted into a relaxed sleep where none of the sounds of the night would disturb her.

INDENTArina would wake before the sun would shine and quietly gather her belongings before attempting to sneak from the residence to leave everyone undisturbed. On her way past the window, there was a messenger bird squawking to the young girl obviously trying to get her attention. The kunoichi would give it a sideways glance before gathering the scroll which was rolled up between its claws. Opening the scroll, her face would lose all of the color and obvious distress would be apparent. She set the scroll on the floor nearby her team members with a little note scrawled on a piece of paper underneath, ‘Hey guys! I just ran over to my house to quickly get changed and gather some things. This may be quite a trip for all of us and I want to make sure we are prepared. How about we all meet by the gate after we have had our morning break of fast?’ Everything seeming to be in the proper place and easily accessible, the young girl would make her way from the residence back to her own where her parents were still sleeping soundly as well. She would partake in her usual morning routine before gathering the supplies that she deemed necessary; desiring to avoid her own parents with this talk, the girl left a note on the table hoping that they would not be too upset that she was actively avoiding them. In her defense, they had not been happy when she had left a few months ago for the alloy mission which she was barely able to tell them about in the first place but to chase after a fairly high level bounty? Yeah, they would not have been very happy whatsoever and it was better to avoid this situation until she came back safe and sound.

With her two team members having joined her in her room, Hanako grinned as she looked to them and left the stick of incense to burn it's way out, letting it pay the proper tribute to her ancestors as she looked to the two. It was uncharacteristic for her to offer them such a kind smile, full of warmth, but she was happy and it was hard to contain that feeling. "It is my pleasure, since you both are the only friends I have ever had. I promise you, I will continue to live up to the honor you have given me by allowing yourselves to play guest to my home. Sleep well, and my ancestors will bless us with safe endeavors.", she said as she clapped her hands together and bowed humbly to the pair of them before retiring to her bed. Hanako looked quite beautiful with her hair tied up and in her evening wear, which was a simple red robe, tied with an obi and white rose petals adorning the hems of it. She then climbed into her bed, which was one of the classic floor futon style, the same as the other two had been given. Hanako then pulled the covers over herself and sighed softly as she let herself fall into the blissful slumber brought on by the hard day's work of training and a mission.
She had dreams in that night, haunting memories of being alone in a dark cave and in the cave with her were many demons of various kinds. Roars and cries demanding her flesh be torn from her bones echoed from the beasts in the cave, but then all was silent as Hanako had witnessed what looked like an older version of herself jump before her and slam her palms down onto the ground before a wave of bone rushed forth and consumed the creatures, impaling nearly all of them on their ivory pillars, which were slowly painted black by their blood. In this dreamscape, Hanako felt like she could not move by the awe she felt at the sight of such a technique. Her older self looked over her shoulder to Hana and she spit a tooth-pick to the side as she tore off a jacket she was wearing, revealing a tattoo of a white rose on her shoulder-blades, across her back. Who was this? She felt so familiar, was it the kunoichi that Hanako wanted so desperately to be? "Stop being such a weak piss ant or you will never be as good as me.", the vision of herself said with obvious disdain for the person that Hanako was currently in her voice. A large demon that had not been slain by the Seedling Ferns jutsu stumbled forward in the dream, roaring out menacingly. "Suiton: Asakiri no Jutsu.", the dream vision of the older Hanako shouted before she turned into a cloud of fog, and then dashed forward, looking like nothing more than a cloud of mist washing toward the lumbering demonic hulk that suddenly gurgled and blood dripped from it's jaws. The older Hanako had appeared from the fog, slamming a palm to it's chest before making a hand-seal. The stunned beast stood there for a moment before several white bone-like petals shredded from the inside out of it's stomach, tearing it's vitals to shreds. It was too much for her to take in and the dream suddenly faded.
Hanako raised up quickly from her bed, a light bead of sweat forming on her head. Did she truly have the potential to become that lethal killing machine she envisioned herself as in her dreams? She was scary, hard to the core, and formidable. Sure, right now Hanako was a rough-around-the-edges sort, and had all of the charm of a cactus at times, but she was nothing like that mature woman who could calculate the best ways to eliminate even a horde of impossible foes. She found herself with both of her fists clenching hand fulls of her blanket, and she grit her teeth in a look of intense contemplation over what she had witnessed in her subconscious. Finally, the White Rose felt the call of sleep wash back over her body and she fell back against her pillow and sighed as she allowed herself to succumb to the spell of the sand-man, and drift back off. Though she had no further dreams that night.

Arina had departed with word that they would be setting off for a travel as a squad, which was sort of uncanny as word had reached the compound earlier that morning about a Bounty supposedly heading toward Rain Country. Maybe they were setting off to go eliminate the threat? Who knew? She would wait for the squad to assemble before figuring out what they would do as their next course of action. Kaito appeared to be sleeping still, and she gave him with a nudge of her foot as she affixed her Mist forehead protector, which was in the shape of a hair-piece, that held her bangs out of her face. "Wake up, lazy bones. The only bag of bones allowed to lay around the house is Gigi, now get your a** up and prepare yourself. Arina should return soon and when she does, we will head out on whatever mission we are assigned today...with you, even if I have to get Saki to drag you about behind us.", she said with a grim look of intimidation that one might expect from a member of a Yakuza crime boss. It was likely not the sight one wanted to wake up to in the morning and would likely give Kaito a good start on getting himself together. That was the goal in the end, as Hanako predicted that due to his hedonistic habits, that he might be one of those types that was late to bed, late to rise, late to pretty much everything. That would likely change with her on his team, as Hanako had a slight issue with laziness, and would not tolerate being tardy for anything, even something minor as a planned meal.
She then left the room, and went down stairs, grabbing a few pieces of buttered toast, before waving to everyone and departing to wait for Arina outside, near the white rose bush. Kaito would likely find her there as well as it was not like she made an effort to conceal her destination. They had a long road ahead of them it would seem.
More often than not Kaito would have been awake for several more hours before passing out, but tonight was going to be a change of pace. It was near immediate that he would fall asleep as soon as his head would touch it's resting spot, this was certainly apparent to the others in the room as his snoring would start the exact moment he would crash.
Eventually morning would arrive and his slumber would abruptly get cut short as Hanako would poke at him with her toes to wake him up. The first few nudges he would shrug off but as she'd continue with her methods Kaito would soon give up on the idea of sleep and slowly and steadily open his eyes. She rambled on about waking up and being lazy bones, although he really wasn't awake enough to fully comprehend the words coming from her mouth just yet. The drunkard slowly rolled himself over so he'd be facing the ceiling and slowly sit up. His vision was blurry as it was nearly every morning he'd awaken, thus he would begin to rub his eyes and shake his head trying to wake himself up a little more. Unfortunately for him the very first thing he would lay his eyes on this day was a ruthless look upon Hanako's face whom was yelling at him to wake up and get moving. "Meh.. What a time to be alive..." The Akimichi man shook his head with a sigh before looking over to a scroll lying next to what seemed to be a note. It was at this time he'd read both, and these would get his juices flowing. "Oh s**t ********> Kaito exclaimed as foul words left his foul mouth. "Did you read this already? Wait of course you read this, I'm guessing this is why you woke me up so early?..." The genin hopped to his feet seeming much more enthusiastic than just moments before. This was going to be some fun for the trio!
"Arina said meet at the gate then according to her note here, so I guess I'll meet you there in twenty minutes or so, I'll try and go fast-ish!" Kaito stampeded from Hanako's home and down the road a few blocks to his home. Surely he wouldn't waste any time as he brushed his teeth on the toilet and took an extremely quick power shower then finished by changing his outfit from the night before. Within just a few moments the not so speedy shinobi would be out the door and on his way to meet with his other teammates. Although maybe a little out of his normal, surely he wouldn't keep them waiting. This time, Kaito would be on time!

INDENTArina had decided to grab a quick breakfast at a nearby restaurant given that she had left so early in the morning. There was little worry that her squad mates would have been up and ready to go already; however she did manage to keep the distraction quick because they had not much time to waste… With a moving target, they had to not only keep pace but actually travel quicker. When she was finished eating, she left some ryo on the counter while picking up her newly packed shoulder bag and slinging it across her body. She tried not to pack too much for the trip but it was difficult considering she had a tendency to want to be prepared for everything. There were some various medical balms and herbs, as well as an extra change of clothes and some prepared food. Of course, the girl had her ryo which would easily pay for those things along the way but realistically, she was kind of a hoarder when it concerned ryo.
INDENTWhile passing the Kaguya estate, Arina noticed that Hanako was outside admiring the rose bushes. She stopped and watched for a few moments before speaking up, “Did Kaito go ahead?” The young girl spoke in a loud voice trying to speak over not only distance but the street noises which were beginning to pick up now that the sun had begun shining brightly waking the citizens from their slumber. After waiting a few moments for a response, Arina extended her hand out as if beckoning Hanako to join her for the rest of the journey to the gate in a kind and affectionate manner.“Let’s go,” the young girl announced smiling brightly towards her companion before making their way towards the gate.

There was much to do and much to see, and no time for looking back on the road already traveled. She was sure her family knew she would be well, as they had an understanding of one another that did not need much of an outward expression of affection. They were to be hard and ruthless, killers of the Hidden Mist Village, with the strongest Kekkai Genkai that the Land of Water had to boast about. There was no room for appearing soft and vulnerable, in fact, what Kaito and Arina had witnessed was something few rarely saw of the family. It would be a valuable insight in how to interact with Hanako and to break past her hard heart to form the true bonds of friendship, and not just mere association.
