Kizuka rolled on the warm ground lazily and yawned. Lying on her back, she lifted her pink paws and reached out to the sky. She always wished she had wings to she would float in the skies like colorful birds, but alas, being a lion she was stuck on living on the ground. She rolled on her side and scanned her surroundings with her dark pink eyes. No one in sight... She sighed, sometimes these parts of the savanah got so boring... She pushed herself back on her feet and lifted her head, shaking her body to get rid of the dust on her fur. She trotted around, thinking where she should wander off to... Pridelands? Elephant Graveyard?.. Firekin borders or maybe go and meet some Ela's ? Too many choices... After some self-debate, she decided to walk in the Pridelands direction.
Not far in from the boarder of the Pridelands, to where the pink and white lioness was headed, a caramel coloured adolescent lay in the shade of a rock. Well, what shade the rock could provide for it was barely larger than the lion that rested against it.
Mchele, for that is who the lion was, licked at his paw meticulously and thoughtfully. Well they were white and did require some work if ever they got muddied, unless of course he didn't mind other's seeing him with dirt-matted feet. However Mchele did mind, so he spent a large amount of his time grooming.
So lost in his little world of licking and flicking his tail, his eyes half closed, he didn't notice any rogue lions that might be happening to enter his pride's lands.

Kizuka walked towards the Pridelands with curious steps. She had been to these lands before, but she was never alone when she did... It was a whole new experience for her; a big adventure. As she neared the border, she realized a young lion, about her age, lay in the shade of a rock, grooming himself. She walked closer, sure that he would notice her and exchange greetings but he seemed busy with his grooming. Kizuka sniffed around, she had always thought she could smell trouble, literally. Well, this 'ability' of hers was what always got her into trouble. She got near the lion, sniffing with her head down. Then she lifted her head up and saw she was face-to-face with the caramel colored lion with interesting markings on his feet. She blushes and took a step backward "I am so sorry.. I didn't mean to disturb you!"
Indeed, Mchele didn't realise he was being sniffed and studied until the lion came right up to him! And that was quite a shock for his lapsed attention span! He gave a start and a small gasp as he found himself face to face with the other preditor, although not for long as she hurriedly backed away a step.
"Oh!!" He blinked, tensed for a moment but soon relaxing. This female seemed just as surprised as him, and she had appologised too. Very polite. "Oh, oh it's alright. Just gave me a surprise." He quickly replied and then noticed that he didn't know this female lion at all. After all, who could forget one with such an unusual colour? Pink and white, like the small flowers that bloomed rarely in the grass. "You're... not from around here? I'm afraid I don't recognise you. I'm Mchele, and you are?"

Kizuka shook her head with the same politeness to return the young lion's politeness "Not really... I can't say I belong anywhere really.." She slushed "I didnt mean to startle you, really... I am the one who is sorry!" She smiled "I am Kizuka, nice to meet you" then she inspected the young lion with her eyes, one of the most polite and well... good looking lions she had ever seen. She felt herself blush a little, hoping her pink fur will hide it. "Do you mind if i join you? It is hot here under the sun!" She smiled again--she just couldn't help herself... This lion gave off a positive feeling which made her want to smile all the time.
"Don't belong anywhere?" Mchele asked in surprise. It was odd to hear that but then he twigged. This one must be a rogue. That would be why he'd not seen her around before. "You mean you don't have a pride you live with?" He asked. That was a sad thing, especially for someone like himself who wouldn't be able to live without his pride-mates and family around him.
"And really, it's ok Kizuka." He insisted with a smile growing on his face. This female was very friendly and nice. Could be a new friend? He didn't have many female ones at all and yet felt a bit awkward with some of the males too.
"Join me?... Oh you mean in the shade! Sure." The adolescent nodded and moved over a bit to make room for the younger lioness.

Kizuka shook her head as she joined Mchele under the shade. " Nope I don't really have a pride... My mother used to belong to one as far as I know when.. whe.. she was alive" she lowered her head to hide the melancholy in her eyes "I surely will figure out where my heart belongs to sometime.. just not.. now" She put on a smile to satisfy her need to hide her pain. "What about you? Do you belong in a pride and have family?" Now it would be interesting to speak with a pride member because most of her friends were rogues and firekins.. Well one could never trust a firekin fully now would she? She smiled as she comfotably lay down, with her paws resting near Mchele's. She liked Mchele's paws.. So unique and white, her pink ones made a lovely sight with the white of Mchele's surprisingly clean white ones.
The golden male gave her a sympathetic look. "Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. Have you.. have you been alone long?" Being alone would have to be one of the worst things, Mchele considered. "And I'm sure you will. Just have to search I guess."
"Me? Yes, I have my parents and their recent litter of siblings. Plus a sister and a brother, though the brother is adopted and my sister has left home." He made a funny face at the first part, as if unsure whether he liked the idea of more baby siblings or not. "Quite a big family and I live in a bigger pride too, these are the Pridelands afterall." He nodded over to the distance where the steep jutting rock could be seen on the horizon. "That's Pride Rock just there, that's where I live." He glanced over as she laid down, but didn't think much on the sight of their paws next to each other. He did like her colour though, so unusual but very pretty.

Kizuka nodded a little sadly "Yes I have been alone so long.. longer than I would really like to. All the lions and lionesses I know have some sort of family they can lean on. I'm sure I will find mine in matter of time, but sometimes..." she realized her little speech might have bored mchele, so she made a funny face and added "it gets soooo boring" and laughed. "you have quite a family! and the little ones! it should be so much fun to teach them whatever you know.. even though i have never been much of a sister to anybody" kizuka let out a giggle. "i am sorry to hear about your sister though, i am sure she will be back when she finds whatever her heart is searching for. i know how that feels to have a hole which noone can fill in your soul." it was true, she too had wandered around like a gipsy, never staying too much in one place. however she finally wanted to settle down, she was tired. "pride rock? i have heard about it! it looks magnificent" she took a glance at the land around them "i like this place, different than the muddy forest.. but mchele.. tell me.. dont you ever feel the need to be by yourself now and then and not inside a huge pride?" she hoped she didnt sound rude, but she was curious.
Mchele nodded and smiled at her. "I don't think it's boring. It's interesting to meet new lions, I haven't really met more than one or two outside the pride. It's fascinating to learn about you. And I think I know what you mean about others having family to lean on. I'm like that too. But you know, friends can be there to lean on too. Do you have any friends that are close? Sometimes they can be so close they're like a sister or brother or even a child. That's like Danzi, my mother adopted him but he's just as much a part of the family."
"And yes, Kiburi will come back once she's had her fill of traveling. She wants to see all she can see before she's too old to do so. It's her life goal, I think. At least that's what I guess I'd call it. But she'll come back, she did promise. This hole... you say you've felt it? Is it because of your missing family? What about your father? Or any siblings?"
His face, quiet and still as he spoke of his dear sister and Kizuka's empty feeling, became more lively and joyful as he started on the subject of his siblings. "Well I do look after them now and then. But mum teaches them the most things and she's very good at it too. Better than me. I just help out when and how I can, mostly cubsitting."
"Hmm? Oh yeah, Pride Rock is nice." He blushed a little at the compliment of his home. Sometimes he didn't quite realise just how lucky he was. "I can take you to see it if you like? No one will mind, rogues and travellers get invited to visit on occassion. Even mum's done it before. I'll just tell them you're with me." He gave her a friendly smile. "As for being alone? Well sometimes I like to sit and think, or go hunting by myself. Not often, but it helps clear my mind and get a bit of peace and quiet. I'd hate to be really alone though, for longer than even just a day. I've always had company around me, family and other pride-members. I wouldn't feel secure without them nearby at least. I suppose that sounds silly huh? Especially when here you are, looking after yourself and roaming about the lands on your own."

"You are fascinated to know about me?" Kizuka gave out a soft laughter "That's really sweet to say, but I am not that interesting, not really... " and then she nodded "I know, friends are precious.. I used to have some friends when I was younger but we drifted apart.. No one likes to move as much as I do, actually I am getting tired of not staying in one place too... I want to stay still for a little" She was glad she had Mchele to talk to, it felt like he really understood her and how she felt... It felt like he was looking for a stable place too... She wondered why. He had everything she could hope for , a family, friends, a pride... Her smile faded when Mchele mentioned about that dreadful hole "I don't know.. I wish I knew... If i know I could fill it you know... and no, I dont know who my father is, my mother... did not live long enough to tell me about him" she felt like crying but the bitter emotion went away quickly as she looked on Mchele's face again. He lighted her spirits up for some reason.. maybe it was his colors.... Maybe it was his understanding attitude. "You know what, I'm glad I met you... Such a huge coincidence but .. well.. you should know that if you need a friend to elan on to, I will be here for you" she gave hima sweet and rather sheepish smile. she jumped "of course i would love to see your home! wow! "she sat down again "but won't your family think it is rather strange that a rogue is invading their lands? i sure would not want them to feel that way..." and at mchele's ;ast comment she gave his right ear a playful bite "no silly, it makes perfect sense since you grew up in a pride, you are used to company! i wish i had that luxury for sure!"
"Well..." Mchele started, looking down with a small smile. "It's fascinating in that I've not met anyone like you before. Certainly not to talk to like this. But I do find it very interesting. It's all quite different to how I've lived."
"But why not give my life a go? You say you feel like you want to settle for a while? Well you just need someplace secure and with all your needs; food, shelter and company. And if you don't like it you can go back to your old life of roaming?" He looked at her with a hopeful questioning gaze. She would make a wonderful friend and though he didn't suggest it outright, he did hope she might like the look of this place to settle - even if only for a while.
For a moment she seemed as if she might cry and he moved his head closer to nudge hers gently and opened his mouth to speak. But the upset look on her face faded quickly enough when she looked at him.
"Thank you. That's a very kind offer. Even though we're a bit like strangers now, it's feels... very easy to talk to you and tell you things. I've said more to you now than I have to most of other pride members!" He chuckled and pulled free of her bite on his ear.
"But sure, I'll show you around!" He lept to his feet when she jumped up and turned to look toward Pride Rock. "The king and queen are very kind and don't mind rogues traveling through. Mum has invited rogue cubs back to the den before and Mufasa's own daughter has a close friend who's a rogue. It'll be alright, come on!" And with a grin back at her from over his shoulder he took off towards the rocky outcrop.

"I am fascinating?" Kizuka tilted her head.. Nope she got it wrong. It was fascinating for Mchele to meet someone like her. She smiled. Well it would be nice if he found her fascinating because... simply put, she thought the male lion was such a sweet one--unlike any other she had met before.
She jumped right after him, follwing him into his life. It was exciting and a little bit scary at the same time. She had never been in a group of lions.. would she fit in? Well she was not there to stay... She guessed no pride would ever accept a foreigner in their group.. or would they??
"So does your pride... The lions.. do they look like you?" she asked quite curiously to Mchele. She heard some time ago that lions in the same pride tended to look alike "Do they have those cute markings? Or are you unique?" she giggle and stuck out her tongue at mchele, making a funny face. she never saw a lion in her own colors and it was fun to be different, but soemtimes she wished she belonged somewhere... ina group of lions which acted and maybe even looked like her. well it was too late now.. or maybe.. maybe... she would find the lioness who murdered her mother soon, and then she would know where she belonged. she would force her to tell... she shook her head and returned to present from past, hoping her ambitions did not show on her face so mcele thought she was... well.. crazy.
Mchele trotted along at reasonably fast but not too difficult gait. Just a jogging sort of speed, for a lion that is. He turned his head to look at her as the pale white and pink lion kept up.
"Oh! Well yes, you're fascinating too. Aren't all new friends? I just mean you're more-so because you're not from around here." He hoped he hadn't insulted her in some way but she didn't seem upset. All smiles and excitement at seeing his home.
He had to blush and chuckle in an embarrassed way to her other comments and questions though. "Well.. I don't know about cute markings but I think I am unique in other ways." He didn't explain any more on what he might mean by that though. Instead he carried on the conversation without much pause.
"I think you have cute markings though. Such a unique colour. I've not seen it in a lion before, ever. Some others in the pride have similar colours to me, yes. I'm the exact same colour as my mother and most of those born in the pride have golden fur. A couple are red too, but none in my family."
