That Damn Dragon RP, aka Akai sucks at naming things 〖❖〗〖❖〗 〖❖〗 〖❖〗 〖❖〗 〖❖〗 〖❖〗〖❖〗〖❖〗〖❖〗〖❖〗〖❖〗
For as long as human memory can recall, the dragons have been a problem. They steal sheep, raid towns and seem to have developed a taste for human flesh. While they are killable, it is often far too much trouble and far too expensive, and so humanity has taken to offering tribute in order to prevent raids on their towns and cities. Flocks of sheep and villages in the countryside are fair game, but populated areas are off limits according to these tribute deals. The tribute? Beautiful young maidens. Each county is to provide at least one every other year, presented at a specified location within each kingdom. It is a problem, but dragon raids on populated areas are worse. Recently, a group of dragons realized that although humans were currently weaker, lesser creatures, this would not always stay the same. After all, they had watched these human creatures rapidly develop weapons technology, moving from sticks and stones to bronze and now iron and steel. And as each year passes, their technological developments increase their abilities to defend themselves. A solution to the problem needs to be found before humanity finds a way to make themselves dangerous. Or before the humans get fed up and hunt the draconic race into extinction. Plot Information There are dragons. Most of them like to eat folk, sheep, and cows or build up hoards. To solve this problem, the human race has taken to giving the dragons danegeld in the form of young maidens and occasionally gold. A group of dragons has recently come to the conclusion that humans could possibly become dangerous then proceed to hunt the dragons into extinction. So, the current solution is to steal the Kingdom's most recent tribute of six maidens (Of varying qualities of beauty and mental states.) and attempt to form a bond with them. To do so, they have to keep the Greater Drake (Whose Tribute they're stealing away) from showing up and then convince the girls that they are not only going to eat them, they want to form partnerships. It's a rare occurrence and the humans usually benefit from a resistance to the dragon's chosen element, an extended natural lifespan, and slightly accelerated healing.
Each player will be playing one dragon and one sacrificial maiden. The dragons cannot bond to the same player's maiden, nor can the same players bond their maidens and dragons. Also, PM me the profiles with the title "Dragon RP" or something similar so I can find them in my inbox.

Races
Dragons Although dragons vary in appearance from dragon to dragon, there are three main appearance types and they are all of the same species.
The most commonly seen kind are the lesser or younger dragons, occasionally called wyrms. Wyrms are the mindless, ravening beasts that humans tend to think of dragons as. While extremely dangerous, they are killable in the sort of way that a knight in a good set of armor is killable by an untrained farmer with a knife. They tend to stand a little higher than a warhorse and are typically at least twice as long with a more snake-like body and four legs.
Less commonly seen are the elder or greater dragons, also called Drakes, who have an average intelligence and can speak (With great difficulty) human languages. They are the classic large-as-a-small-town, heavy bodied winged lizards. Many humans think they are a separate and more powerful species from the Wyrms, but the truth is that they are simply older. They are the ones that have survived into maturity and the dominance battles that let them claim territory and dominance over the Wyrms the way Kings claim territory and command over their knights. Also, they are the ones who lay the eggs from which the Wyrms hatch. It is to them that the sacrifices are made and they are responsible for preventing the raids on heavily populated areas. Killing them is extremely difficult and dangerous for humans.
Even more rare are the Great Drakes, who are so rarely seen they are generally considered to be myth. Most of them have taken to quiet solitude in mountain caves or islands out in the sea, far from humans. Unlike their younger cousins, they have upwards of six legs and tend to be long and serpentine with flowing beards and antler-like horns. Not only do they speak human languages, they can also read and write, however, writing is a long and laborious process for them because fine motor control of the taloned fingers on their front legs is not their forte. They tend to be higher on the intelligence and wisdom scale than most humans and are old. Most no longer keep track of how old they are. Legend has it that they often develop a mastery of an element and that sometimes they will take human companions to keep them company. Or perhaps, they simply carry them away to eat them.
Humans Humans are a contentious lot and groups have been fighting each other since there were enough of them to have group borders that bumped up against eachother. Their current level of technology is largely involved with manual labor and rumors abound that in one of the richer kingdoms in a major city, someone has created a machine that will weave cloth on its own so long as there is something spinning the wheel that drives it. However, heavily armored and mounted men still dominate the battlefield. Cannons have been invented, but they are almost prohibitively dangerous and expensive so most armies stick to the traditionally propelled projectile weapons such as bows, crossbows, trebuchets and ballista.
Kingdom
The kingdom that the sacrifices that the dragons are going to steal away is located at the foot of a large mountain range. They are a land-locked kingdom of average prosperity, known more for the fact that they have the most problems with dragons because they border a mountain range infested with dragons, bandits and 'barbarian' nomads. Most of the kingdom's income comes from metals, sheep products, and wines, although most of those metals go into keeping the army armed and armored and the wines aren't particularly good. However, taxes aren't overly burdensome on the populace and when the current king was coronated, he changed the farming system from a serf-based system to tenants. The kingdom does practice conscription, but usually only when war threatens. Mostly, it relies on a standing army to deal with the bandits and dragon raids.
