PERSONALITY
Likes: Since he gets little sleep, he is very appreciative of calm surroundings and music. He loves to drink tea and is almost never seen without a cup of it sitting around. Despite sounding very bored when he speaks, he does care deeply for the younger ninja of the clan.
Dislikes: He has a strange hatred for coffee, saying that its terrible for you and will absolutely not touch the stuff(that basically means if you ask him if he would like something to drink NEVER mention it). He gets very annoyed and grumpy towards people that look down on others.
Hobbies: sipping tea while watching or giving advice to young genin
Fears: For the new generation to be molded into something they are not or looked down upon, him dropping dead because of overexhaustion
Nindo: The new are the future and the old are the mentors to help and nurture them.
Extra: Despite having no children or family of his own, Kensei cares for his kinsmen very much. He would much rather someone try to be something better than what they are than see someone content at where they stand. In other words, he wants to improve and encourage others in hopes that they become better ninja and, more importantly, better people.

Life's story:
Kensei proved to be a higher than average ninja when he began to train as a genin. He wasn't a prodigy mind you, but a pretty good genin. At first, the only thing Kensei proved useful for was a mobile earth mover. He wasn't the greatest ninja in offensive cabability but if any type of jutsu flew at him, he found a way to block it. If he couldn't block it then he took it head on. He would get assigned to harder and harder missions sometimes just to see if he could defend his comrades or his objective.
After 5 years of protecting others, an older Senju taught him about the Wood release and how he could combine elemental chakra to use it. Because of this old man, Kensei began to train his water element in tandem with his earth. After displaying his new defensive power on a mission to protect a wounded group of Senju, they all demanded that Kensei be promoted as they believed his skills to be already of jounin level. The elder Senju of the village agreed to promote Kensei but only to chunin. Even though this was the proclaimed verdict, Kensei was continuously assigned to higher than chunin missions. It wasn't until he was of the age of 25 that he became a jounin. He accepted this as not as people looking down on him but as a way to give him more experience to become the best he could be. Because of this, by becoming the highest rank, he believes that he has reached the peak of his abilities. Now he believes that it is his duty to train the next generation the best he can.
The current clan leader took leave of his duties temporarily and left Kensei in charge of the clan believing that he could take on the duty of clan leader the best. For now, Kensei believes that he still must help the new generation in his new position to the best of his ability.
