"I" he paused, he wanted to but he was afraid the dragon gave them too much credit "I don't know about that" he shook his head, no he lucked out finding Menkaura, he didn't think his luck would hold out. He wanted to go, he really wanted to believe Menkaura was right but his fear held him back. He didn't think he could handle it if Menkaura's friends teased him too. Couldn't they just stay here and enjoy each others company? It was so nice here. He sifted his weight from side to side his indecision showing.. if he really knew more kitsus who'd accept him... but what if he was wrong? He wanted to but he couldn't. He couldn't even look at Menkaura for fear of disapproval.

Menkaura tilted his head, as he studied his new friend. He figured out the snow kitsu's hesitation, and nodder softly. "my friend, I would not knowingly take you someplace where you would be made fun of..." he said gently, wanting to reassure the snow kitsu. "since I have been around, I have met some very understanding and friendly creatures.....but it is up to you friend..." he eyed Rudolph out of the corner of his eye, watching for his reaction.

Rudolph rubbed his arm nervously "I-- I know you wouldn't knowingly..." it's the unknowingly bit that worries him. Could he disappoint his new friend? His only friend? He gave a nod barely noticeable at first, he was still trying to convince himself of going through with it. "Alright" it was barely audible but he finally committed himself to the idea of going but he still was unable to look his friend in the eye, he consoled himself by telling himself if anyone started to tease him he could just hide behind Menkaura and recover his nose in mud

Menkaura gave a gentle smile, and nodded his head. "excellent news" he said softly, standing up and stretching out his lengthy body "it will take sometime to get to my humans valley, and the nicer kitsu's are closer than the not so friendly. There are many unique breeds in the valley, all of them accept each other. One of the kindest and most understanding ones I've ever met, is actually a nightmaren..." he said shrugging gently, accentuating his previous statement that every breed has its good and bad eggs.

"N--n-nightmare?!" he scuffled backwards eyes wide "oh no nonononono uhuh no no no not happening no nightmares" he was shaking in his boots nightmares were soooooo outta the question they were the worst of the worst by the time he stopped moving backwards he had pinned himself up against a tree and the whole things was shaking from his fear

Menkaura watched Rudolph for a moment and then nodded softly "alright, he's usually off on his own, we won't go see him if you are not comfortable" he said softly, approaching the scared snow kitsu cautiously "we will just go see other snows, if that is alright with you?" he asked, not wanting to further upset his new friend.

Rudolph's shaking lessened and hope lit in his eyes if they could avoid the nightmares he might be able to hold himself together long enough to actually meet someone "p-p-promise?" he really hoped these other kitsu were as nice as Menkaura was, he would really like it. He nodded his head in response to Menkaura's question so long as there were no nightmares it didn't seem as bad anymore

Menkaura nodded and chuckled softly. "I would not deceive you my friend. It is not in my nature." he said gently, watching Rudolph for a moment before heading in the direction of his humans valley "come friend, I will lead the way. Very few creatures will think to mess with one of my size, should anyone start trouble, I will finish it" he said with a wry grin, trying to comfort his friend.

Rudolph relaxed a bit, still nervous but more comfortable. He really liked Menkaura but he did hope Menkaura wouldn't have any troubles on his account. His heart nearly skipped a beat when he was called friend and it set him in a much cheerier mood than he had been in for a while, he happily took his place at his new friend's side and followed. This would be his fondest memory for quite some time he thought to himself. For what can top this? "Thank you." It was all he could think to say but he meant it in every way from the very bottom of his heart. Thank you.

Menkaura nodded and gave a gentle smile "it is no worry friend, I would not dream of pushing you if you were not ready." he said softly as he led the way back to his valley. Well it wasn't really his, he had a cave dwelling up the mountain, but he was still a part of the herd. He led them towards where he knew the gentlest ones were. They had an area of their own, that was well protected. He was about to say something when a little guardian came running up to them, all excited and rambling on. Menkaura chuckled and bent down to the black and gold guardian "Kesa calm. Calm little one. I have a favor to ask of you and your master" the guardian paused, and then bobbed his head "yesyes" "could you ask Kae'lic to perhaps wait in the woods for a while? I'm taking my friend here to meet some other snow kitsu's, but is uncomfortable around nightmares..." he watched the guardians reaction, and the guardian nodded "I will take kaekae to see Chaos, yes I will" he chirped excitedly. Menkaura nodded and smiled "I am in yours and Kaes debt my little one" he said as the guardian waved it off and scurried off to find its master.
Menkaura nodded to Rudolph. "one less thing to worry about" he said with a soft grin.
