That's horrible, but at the same time what's a foreigner doing going over there to dig a hole that he knows he'll have a hard time getting out of? If he knows he's breaking the laws, he shouldn't have done it. It's just like we arrest people for sacrificing kittens to their gods here because its animal abuse... China has always been persecuting people. Its a communist state, with secret police that want everyone to adhere to their rules.

At the same time, what did he hope to accomplish by going in there? Exposing human rights? Alright, but what would he have been able to do about it? The US is already in Iraq and China is too valuable on the trading economy to start waging a war with to "save the people".

I do hope that he gets out of there though. I hear their jails are pretty brutal.
