Haw, so I tricked you there isn't really a poll. There basically never is, but oh well!
That being said, this is a little bit of a discussion to satisfy my idle curiousity. The question of the day is this.
What constitutes a good mission?
That is, not what's written by the taker, but what's written by the creator! By that of course I mean the mod who created the mission and put it on the board to begin with.
What do you all think is the makings of a good mission? Do you like mystery rewards? How do you feel about the client being (reasonably often) one of those rewards? Do you think the mods should try and flavour the descriptions in order to imply a certain type of character, or should it be left as generic as possible so the writer can decide? And, in the same vein, do you like missions that require you to work with a certain NPC? (ex: I need an escort...) Or do you prefer missions that let you make up your own cast entirely?
There is, of course, only so much that we (the mods) can do to make a mission appealing from the get-go but I want to see what people think on the topic.

No poll? Dang! You tricked me again!
Anyways, I usually take a mission for the story or placing, not for the rewards. But speaking of rewards, I think ??? rewards are super cool :3 Ahem, I like it when mission writers give enough to work with and not too vague descriptions (The mission I accepted recently was a bit vague itself, actually, but got my imaginative juices flowing to work, so I guess thats a good thing). Its nice when they give the clients some personality so you can build on it and twist it any ways you'd like, but not too much so that you would have to stick to specific characteristics D: I usually don't accept clients as recruits unless if I give more description about them in my mission (helpfully hinting at it ;D), but you should see what other people have to say about this. Dunno if I make sense, or if that was what you were looking for.

I'm working on my first mission right now so I can't really be a fair critique on what I think. Though I do think the whole mission idea it's very creative!
