He hadn't intended to scare Evan, but the faint smile gave Jin a little bit of hope. He returned the gaze while Evan collected his thoughts before finally talking again. He was a little disheartened with the start of Evan's statement. At least Evan was going to go to the dance with him. That was a step in the right direction.
"I'm glad. I mean, that you'll at least still go to the dance with me." He stepped closer to Evan, wanting to do something to put him at ease, but afraid that he'd just... scare Evan or something. "How about I walk you home."

Even with Evan agreeing to go to the dance with him, Jin still looked distressed. Was that not enough? What more could the blond boy do to cheer up Jin? He couldn't help but feel sad too as he looked on at the boy. Maybe.... Maybe he'd like....
The blond boy started towards the other with his brow furrowed in concern. He embraced Jin gently, wrapping his arms just above his waist. The boy fitted into his chest snuggly and secure. "D-don't be sad, ok?" He smiled still holding the boy. "I'd be more than happy if you walked me home." He didn't know if this made Jin feel any better and he almost didn't have the heart to let him go. He pull away just as gently as he had embraced him, "Are you ready to go then?"

His eyes opened wider as Evan hugged him. Jin wasn't quite sure what prompted him to do so, but he wasn't about to question it. He was about to return the hug when Evan pulled away. "Sad? Ah, I won't be sad as long as you're happy." Well that was just about the cheesiest thing he'd ever said. He rolled his eyes away and blushed just a bit at having said that. "Yeah... Yeah, let's get you home."
