"...he's only holding us back, sister. We should be done with him and carry out the mission ourselves."
"Sister! We need him. How else are we going to fight those damn things?"
"Point taken, but...just look at him."
Fuadi'mwata turned her head to look back at the male, then quickly looked away. She didn't see anything wrong with him, but she knew her sister had her own views on things. Sometimes it was hard on her to have another 'spirit' in the same body, but it made it all worth while.
Besides, as soon as she had a lion's tender throat under her paw, the pain of losing her sister's body would all be, but a distant memory. In her opinion, this war was the best damn thing to happen in years! Hell, Fuadi hadn't needed to listen to the reasoning behind it before she signed up to kill.

Mauti was not pleased for the last day he had been with this female. Being with her made his head hurt. She constantly talked to herself and well herself. He thought of a few times of snapping at her himself but he re-framed she was going to take him back to her pack her hopefully his mother was. Though he did not like having to trade in helping her with this 'mission'.
He didn't like or dislike lions he preferred just to stay away from them as long as they left him be why should he worry? Not if one had a tasty meal and he was capable of chasing them off that was another issue altogether.
"Oh will you shut it!" he finally snapped at her growling loudly as he began to head on forward past her as he scouted the area. He knew they where getting close to the border and it was putting him on edge for some reason.
Would they be able to do this and live? Would they even be able to pull it off what ever it was he still didn't know he didn't like being in the dark but if it meant finding his mother will little to no effort then he guess he could put this little effort into trading info for his muscle.

A war... A flat out war... Lions and hyenas... How had she managed to get caught up in this mess? Sure, hyenas were grubby little buggers, but for them to be able to start this fight? To sink so low...
Idris looked up at the sky for a moment and took a deep breath. There was only one other living thing in these lands whom she wanted to fight, and this war was keeping her from her watch on the subject. Nevertheless, she was a part of the pride now. She couldn't say no.
Taking another deep breath, her eyes widened as the gentle breeze carried a strange scent to her. Two scents actually. Teeth bared in a silent growl, she turned and followed the breeze until she heard someones voice. Were those two part of the cause of the war? Ducking low, she crawled forward until she was close enough. Herself against two? ...Not the best idea, but she didn't have anyone with her, and she wasn't about to just let these two simply pass on by.
There! Beyond those rocks! With a great rawr she leapt forward, claws outstretched as she cleared the rocks, aiming for whichever dirty hyena was closest.

Though Fuadi didn't understand why she had to have the outsider with her, she wasn't going to argue orders like her sister. If it were left to Mwata, he would have been digesting in their stomach hours ago.
"Testy, testy," she cooed. A split second later, Fuadi grinned. "Getting a lil' nervous, pup? Don't tell me this'll be ye'r first kill?" Unlike her companion, the twisted female was biting at the bit. She purposely brushed her dark body up against any and all plants to get her prescence across. Come and get me!
It had been her arrogance that caused her to not see the lioness until she was nearly on her partner. In a flash, Fuadi was turned and charging, low and fast, her snapping jaws aimed for the lioness' throat.

Mauti ears twitched he started to feel uneasy before he glared at the female his first fight? He had been on his own since he was a small pup. Though he'd never admit to anyone that he was not that good of a fighter he had never taken a life before only stole his food from others or let his brother do it. He was about to snap at the female for saying such things only to feel a searing pain in his rear.
Snapping his head around quickly he tried to sink his teeth deep into what ever had attacked him. The lion and hyena scuffled about a moment but neither where able to land a blow till finally Mauti got his footing limping a few feet between him and the lioness. He was panting heavily and letting out a deep growl as he squared against her completely forgetting about the other hyena.
"Foolish lion." He growled out as a anger began to stir in him he ignore the wound on his backside it wasn't serious enough to put him out of the battle full right but it did make it harder for him to move. He let out a yelp up pan every time he had to twist his body.
"Tell me female have you taken a life?" He asked looking to the hyena a moment before his attention went back to the female before she tried anything.
( Sorry for not getting this sooner I've had to deal with RL things but hopefully I'll be good now. >.<; Moose hun your free have your Hyena beat up on Mauti if he gets in her way since he rolled such a high number in the dice.
I'd just really like for him not to die. He has another battle he must go through. )

Relieved that her blind leap had paid off, she bit hard into the male's haunches, trying to keep close to the male to prevent the other hyena from freely attacking. As the male retaliated, her leg swung up in time to block his teeth, catching those fangs in her paw instead.
Growling, she released and jumped backward to get out of the range of the male and to duck out of the way of the lunging female. Her paw gave out briefly, adjusting to the puncture wounds it now bore, but she quickly compensated, tail lashing about wildly.
Hyenas were nothing to waste her breath talking to. Besides, it probably was foolish of her.. Snarling, she leapt forward again at the male, dodging to one side and then the other before swinging her paw at his face. Focus on one first, then get the other.. Her whole body was on alert though, remembering the speed with which the female had attacked, trying to keep an eye on the other's actions.
