i always buy cheap-ish stuffs.
oftentimes, the higher priced things are actually made in the same factories that make the cheap stuff!
a friend of my in New Castle PA, back when we lived near there, worked for a factory that made car batteries, and he said that most of the brands, all different prices, were really the same thing and came from his shop; tthe companies just put them in different packaging.
i once wanted just a cheap wind up clock to take on a camping trip. there were costly choices i could have made, things with battery, all-weather, radio whatever
mine just wound up and was made of plastic; it cost almost nothing, and has lasted almost forever.
so there.
