so im thinking about scanning all the books i own to the computer and im gonna upload them as zip files, would any here like to spread them around the web?

Are they books you wrote? If so, you can try to get them published. If not, then I suggest you stop there before the authors sue you.

Most public domain works are already available in several places on the Net. You could try hunting down relevant titles and compiling them in a thread.

well its UBER old books, and its on the record its not illegal to copy old things of a certian age

ahh.. the musings of a google kid. It's kind of funny to see. The opposite is what you should do. You should print off and bind as many good books as you can, and store them.
because in a short time period, the banned books at school will be banned books in general, and then they will simply not be available at all.
I stopped trusting the google plan the second my favorite etexts started disappearing. Nothing is permanent about computer technology. One upgrade - one corporate buy out - one bankruptcy - one price hike - one EMP pulse - one virus - and everything you held dear is toast.
Even in Gaia I've got tens of thousands of words in amazing ideas that simply vanished during a server crash of 2005.
