Could I use Zenmaister to keep the monster that Terror-Byte Stole? I Know this works for other cards, but I didn't know if this would work or not.

Just thought it couldn't hurt to ask. sweatdrop Best way to keep the monster you took with 34 is to use that monster to make the Zenmaister or another Xyz of the appropriate rank.
