The future. No one thinks of it very often anymore. People are perfect, our lives are perfect, and everyone loves to "act out" the melodrama of the past. Teenagers don't bully and they don't judge others for who they are anymore-except for one thing. Being gay isn't something you just blurt out and express through your clothes and everything you say. It's a crime that can lead to serious injury, a life in jail, or even...
death.
No one cares about you. They want you dead. Your rights are limited. You aren't allowed to do what you want. If you rebel, the police will find you. Gay people like us are basically under house arrest from the time we're born to the time we die. Sure, there are some of us that live in secret among the straight, but the rest of us can't handle that pressure to be "normal." We must express our individuality.
There is said to be a place out there where everyone is free to do what they please, where they are not judged by their sexual status, nor how they express their beliefs. It is said that this place is a paradise for us. They call it... Lake Tyr.
All the rps I make seem to die instantly with one post, so maybe I can make something that spurs interest but doesn't seem so mathmatically hard?
NOTE:: THIS IS VERY SIMILAR TO WOLF'S RAIN. It is not a parody, but I realized it was like Wolf's Rain when I started it. Please don't kill me for thinking of this spontaneously and knowing it was WR.

Rules
- Please respect other players.
- This is a romance! Have a little love in here, alright? That's kind of the main storyline.
Just... don't go over the PG-18 limit. I don't want yiff all over the place.
- Action is highly welcomed. (: Just remember the setting is the distant future.
- No powerplaying. I really hate that and it's no fun after a while D:
- PLEASE try to have balanced characters. No he-she's, and no Mary Sues or Gary Stus.
- Don't like gay men or lesbians? That's fine! Just don't express your opinions in a harmful way to others. You never know WHO they might be! wink
- Just have fun! I can't find an RP where there's not any fun. Let's keep it that way, no?

Personality: You could say Jay's the strong, silent type. He never talks unless spoken to and he always uses his hands while he speaks. Whenever he DOES speak, he speaks uses "this one" to describe himself.
Appearance: 
History: Jay was born in a fairly small town off the West coast. He lived by the water and loved playing with the marine wildlife that appeared just outside his front porch. When he was little, he was innocent and happy. It was only in his teenage years did he discover that he had no interest for girls. When he began flirting with straight guys, they reported him. The local police handed him over to a few maniacal scientist to give him the proper punishment. Apparently that included degenerating his arm and giving him a prosthetic one. It looked like his old arm, only it was black and had red vein-like structures presently pulsing on top of the black. Jay was devastated. After that, he was separated from his family and given a condo far away from "civilization" to live in. This was no place for living. Jay was let back into society when he was reported as "clean," but he was never really straight. He just became silent and unsociable to others to prevent having to go through the trauma he went through earlier in life.

Personality: Salem Is a very friendly guy, he can cheer anyone up and can easily make friends. Though when the time calls, he can be serious.

History: Salem was born with two older brothers. All three of them lived together for a long time since their parents disappeared a few years after Salem was born. So his oldest brother worked three jobs a day while the middle brother stayed home and took care of Salem. When he was old enough, he moved out and found a apartment to live In, he also got Into a collage and found a near by job at a pet shop. He loves the collage so far, but the worst part, he doesn't like girls. Even though they always flurt and ask him out, he always turns them down. Coming up with reasons that he can't go out with them. But because of the law, he can't say the real reason. He's tried to become straight so many times but It never worked, he gave up hope and was about to drop out but... He met Jason Garterson, althought he didn't talk much at first, Salem followed him around for awhile since they have the same class's and got through to him a bit. Now their best friends. Salem promised to help Jason find the lake were people could go to be theirselves, gay or straight. Everything seemed fine and prefect, until Salem found out about brother's who were killed In a car crash, It's taken a heavy toll on Sammy...
