Hey all!

Welcome to the 2011-2012 Achievement Points season. We're doing things a little bit differently this year, so this post is here to serve as a reminder/FAQ about Achievement Points in the guild and how they work.

What are Achievement Points?

Achievement Points in the guild are not the same as the ones Gaia grants you for doing stupid things like changing clothes two days in a row. Kapow! Achievement Points are granted for doing things that enhance your participation in the guild. When you perform a given task, you gather the points. They are tabulated under your main guild account.

How do I get APs?

There are three different kinds of APs available to earn in Kapow.

Signature Points are awarded when you put something in your signature. You must post in this thread to receive the points!

Participation Points are given for signing up for contests and guild events, like the Cyberdome Tournament or Secret Santas. When you sign up for the event, you will automatically earn the points.

Posting Points are earned for doing certain things while you are roleplaying in the main plot of the Nexus. The Achievements might require you to do wacky, funny things, encourage you to interact with others, or to do things that may help to advance the overarching plot of the Nexus. When you achieve one of these, the Phantom will post and quote you to notify you that you've earned those points.

What can I do with these points?

In January, the APPS store will launch. The Achievement Points Power Store is where you will be able to spend your points to receive old monthly collectibles, new cash shop items and other unique and fun items for your avatar. Last year, APPS gave away over 17 million gold worth of items. Hoard your points!

Where do I get started?

Might I suggest getting the easiest Achievement first, and putting a link to Kapow! in your signature? Then, all you have to do is post in the
Signature Points thread to receive them.
