Well I think I have one.See in real life I'm like shy,but in my head there is another version of me who is outgoing, and who I wish to be.

I completly believe that DID exists. I dated somone for over a year who had numerous personalities.
He would be perfectly 'normal' for a moment, then his eyes would go all blank and he would sudenly 'wake up' as a different person. He would not even know who I was, and would attack anyone who got in his way. It was wierd. The only way you could 'snap him back to normal' was to hold his head and shake it, and look strate in his eyes and ask to talk to the personality who is normaly dominant. Then his eyes would roll back in his head, he would convulse a bit, and then 'wake up', not remembering a thing that had happened while the othert personality was out.
It took a lot of strength to stand up to all his personalities. >____<

In the diagnosed versions of MPD, the entities were unable to communicate with each other, even in deep hypnotism. They are typically a fraction of the consciousness and sub-thought. Often a horrible trauma is involved where if specific things occur; the main thought is pushed into an auto-pilot where the sub-thought controls the floor. It’s like driving to work, remembering that you got in the car then blinking and being in the parking lot 45 minutes later.

Lil_JaLs Well I think I have one.See in real life I'm like shy,but in my head there is another version of me who is outgoing, and who I wish to be. No, a person is made up of three 'personalities' One is the thought of structure and control, one is of outgoing spontaneity, and one is the control mechanism (all y'all psych majors know what I'm talking about ^_^)
We will always have 'voices' in our head. Some tell us to act badly, others tell us to do well, and yet others argue the pros and cons of a specific situation. That doesn't mean your 'crazy' or have 'MPD'
Wishing to be what we are not is the fundamental drive for self-improvement and growth in our lives.
