Personality: On the outside, she is more polite than friendly. If she doesn't have too much to occupy herself with, she can be talkative amongst close friends, but otherwise, she is usually quiet. Unless she is playing the organ or dancing or answering difficult questions in class, she doesn't stand out in the crowd.
Perfectionist: Everything must be perfect. It could almost be described as obsessive. Every single note she plays on the organ, every single step she takes in ballet, every single answer on her tests and exams simply must be of the highest standard. Usually, she can do it, but if not, she gets moody and anti-social for days until she once again gets into the swing of “perfection”. If time goes by and something she undertakes is still imperfect, she would go into a quiet insanity until she finds a way to make it so or realizes that it is 100% out of her control. Her father tried to convince her to enter Broussard’s because Lorraine had a knack for the arts, but Lorraine simply insisted that she went to “the best and most competitive school that could provide her with a bright future”. Her perfectionism is both admired and pitied by her father in France, yet looked down upon by her older brother.
Self-Motivated: Lorraine doesn’t do things with a promise of money, or a car, or whatever adolescents ask for in exchange for elbow grease and hard work; she labours for herself. She does things because she feels is the right thing to do, no matter how meticulous or monotonous, and she does this without a moment of complaint.
Irritable: While not irritated with her many chores and tasks, Lorraine is very easily irritated by the people around her. Her brother is an example of one of the many stones (or bowling balls) in her shoe. Every time he complains about work or boredom (which is quite frequent), Lorraine would respond either by tossing an unimpressed look to dealing a harangue depending on the severity of the whining. In public her responses are subtle, but the irritation is still there.
Loyal: Lorraine is not a fan of friends who come and go. She will stick to her good friends like gum sticks to a kid’s hair on picture day. But being loyal doesn’t mean being the other’s shadow or sucking up to them. To her it means keeping the friend’s best interests in mind and being brutally honest when need be. Even after friends may have heard feelings about Lorraine’s honesty, Lorraine still stays true. Some friends consider her a “mom” type at times and dislike her for her honesty and advice.
Hobbies:
Ballet: Lorraine started ballet at the age of six. Since then, it has brought happiness. An onlooker may think that it takes a toll on Lorraine as she spends all that time perfecting her skills, but to her, it is more a privilege and a pleasure than a burden.
Organ: Lorraine likes to pretend that she started playing the organ from the age of four, when she poked a few notes with her finger in the church of the town she grew up in. Her father had told her this, and goes on about the music that echoed within the walls of the church during the holiday. Lorraine picked up the organ at the age of nine, hoping that playing the organ would help her "reconnect" with her hometown.

Build: Slender, with smooth and toned muscles (ballet muscles)
Hair Colour: Light blond, either with a hairband (silver maybe?) or in a tight updo. When down, it is slightly curly, but when it's up, one cannot tell.

Lorraine always looks like she has a purpose. She dresses in neat and practical clothing, and rarely adorns herself with too many accessories.

History: At the age of five, her mother had died. This is what prompted her father to move Lorraine and her brother to America where they would be far away from the tragedy which happened in France. Her father’s business was still in France, though, and so he hired a maid to take care of Lorraine and her brother while he attended to business in France. The original plan was to have their aunt, Michelle, take care of them but she refused the request. The maid, Anouk, was almost like a mother to Lorraine. But Lorraine’s brother didn’t get as close to Anouk, as he remembered his mother more than Lorraine had.
Lorraine looked up to Anouk as a child. She admired how she could make everything so perfect. There was not a speck of dust in any room, everything was organized, all the food was delicious, and all thanks to Anouk. Lorraine wanted to be just like her. She wanted everything she worked at the end up just as perfect as the bedrooms after Anouk had tidied them. She wanted her life to be as sweet as the pies that Anouk baked every weekend. Her brother, who was five years older than she was, scorned at her for making a maid her role model. At first, this bothered Lorraine a lot. She would constantly try to defend this woman who acted as her mother-figure. But after a year or so of constant mocking, Lorraine had learned to shut it all out. Motivated by nothing else but her desire to achieve her high standards (and at the time, her desire to be as unlike her older brother as she can), Lorraine became one of the top students and clawed her way into Rosaline Academy.
Family:
Mom: 47 Alice Leroy (Dead and Gone): Lorraine didn’t know her very well, but she was a spontaneous yet caring mother to Alex
Dad: 52 Gaston Therriot: A very dutiful man with a strong sense of responsibility. He is very attached to what family is left.
Aunt: 55 Michelle Therriot: That relative that you really don’t want to see at family reunions. She refused to take care of the two kids, even though she lived in America in a city quite close to them. She is very snooty and looks down at everyone but herself.
Brother: 20 Alex Therriot: Lorraine’s underachieving, lazy brother has his future handed to him on a silver platter (which he accepted instead of working for it like Lorraine). He is constantly criticizing Lorraine for being all work no play.
Maid 46 Anouk: The maid of the house, she is like a second mother to Lorraine. She is hard-working and very quick on her feet. She is unable to have children of her own, so she sometimes treats Lorraine as if she is her own daughter: brushing her hair, driving her to school, cooking for her, and giving her the talk about the birds and the bees.

Type of Magic: She uses mostly healing or restorative magic.
Outfit: A high-waisted skirt ending right above her knees that looks like it could be made out of a baroque curtain (anything simpler (preferably baroque-inspired) would be fine too). She has a plain white blouse and a small bow around her neck of similar design. Any accessories could be simple. Her shoes could be short, white, high heels. Main colours are the orangey-brown, white, and silver accents (for jewelery perhaps?) . (Designs up to the colourist, just gave an example ref)

Hi there, Cashmere! I'm here to give you some crit!
I really love the fact that Lorraine is a hard worker by her own standards. She doesn't want some kind of monetary gain out of it, and I find that very admirable. In truth, I think it makes her seem rather tragic since that's something that is easily taken advantage of, give her loyalty as well. It's also a daunting task, and one that is never done. Definitely have to give the girl a tip of the hat for her will. smile I'm really fond of her puella magi form, design, and abilities as well - she makes for a great support member of the team, and given her personality I couldn't see anything more suiting.
I do have a few questions for you, though~
While she may not work hard for some kind of physical reward, the impression that I get is that she is looking some kind of attention/recognition for what she's doing, even if she doesn't fully realize it. She's trying to prove a point to her brother, I gather, but what does her father think of this? Her aunt? Anouk? Her peers?
I sense a bit of competition between siblings, as well. Will her brother ever try to trump her with his way of life, only to prove her wrong?
Do her father, aunt, or brother have anything to say about her adoration of Anouk? Or even from Anouk herself! How would she react to their comments/criticisms/advice on that topic?
Does she dance and play the organ out of a desire to be an achiever, or out of a true interest in them? Does she have any other hobbies? Does she play organ for church or just to play?
I'd like to know more about her family! Ages, specifically. Also a little more on Anouk, personality-wise!
How would she react to being engaged in a battle? Her weapon is great for long-range, it seems, and given her support abilities, this is a good choice, but what if she was confronted directly?
That's really all I can come up with at the moment, but I do wish you the best of luck in getting her. She sounds like a sweet girl. ; ; In the meantime, have this gift! I combined both hairstyle suggestions, giving her a high chignon (a la Audrey Hepburn):

Thank you so much for the time you took to crit my quest, and to draw that lovely headshot~
She truly believes that she is purely self motivated. But, she does want her brother to recognize that it is okay, more than okay even, to work hard for something that you want to achieve. Maybe there is a motive she has besides herself that she could discover through more RP? Her father admires her drive. He believes she will be able to achieve great things with it. But he also pities her because she can often tire herself out to get something just right, even though she also reaps the joy of reaching "perfection". Her aunt usually keeps out of the picture, but still checks up on the children because of family obligation. She believes that what Lorraine is doing is silly, because she believes that Lorraine could never achieve greatness. Lorraine loves proving her wrong at dance recitals and her occasional organ performances during religious holidays at the church. (more description will come later on), Anouk has always believed in hard work, and couldn't be happier that Lorraine shares this belief. The thoughts of Lorraine's peers go from deep admiration to "Oh, Lorraine," sort of reactions. Some people may call her out for "trying too hard". Which irritates Lorraine as she works hard for no one but herself.
At one point, Lorraine will reach a point where she is exhausted by her goal for perfection, and Alex will sail by, doing pretty well, with his under-achieving lifestyle. She will probably start to doubt herself, but still stick to her guns. What will happen after will have to be figured out later xD
Her father was disappointed with her admiration of Anouk at first, until the results started to show. He is fine with it so long as Lorraine doesn't aspire to become a maid or housekeeper in the future. Her aunt thinks that it is unacceptable to make anyone of such low status a role model, no matter what the results. Her brother has the same point of view as Michelle. Anouk once thought it was adorable and even proud that Lorraine started to work hard because of her. Although she doesn't voice it, she is aware of her rank as only a maid and doesn't want to risk her job, she is annoyed that Michelle and Alex would jeer at Lorraine for looking up to Anouk, especially since it delivered such wonderful results.
Lorraine dances for herself because she has a true interest in it. It is also an outlet for her as she enjoys the act of dancing, and feels almost no burden to work hard on something she loves to do (unless there was this one move that just wouldn't look right, but those usually get fixed quickly). Lorraine likes playing the organ, but mainly started playing it to keep in touch with her town in France, as her father keeps on talking about the beautiful organ music that emits from the church in the centre of the town. She hopes that by doing so, she can maybe remember a taste of the vibe of her hometown. When her father comes back to visit on religious holidays, he always goes to the church with the family to celebrate (Anouk and her family go as well). It would bring joy to Lorraine to play a staple holiday song so her father could hear the fruits of her hard work. Also, by playing the organ, it was yet another skill she could try to bring to the highest level.
*note: although it makes her happy to see people enjoy her dance or music, they are not the things that motivate her. She works to hone her skills as a dancer and a musician, not solely for the reason of people's admiration or praise.

If Lorraine were confronted directly, she would most likely find a creative way to use her bolas, probably by swinging the spheres at the enemy. But she likes to deal with opponents like she prefers to deal with most tasks: while they are still far away and not of too much threat. She prefers to deal with them before they approach her.

Hi Sky!
First off I'd like to say that I believe you're on the right track with Lorraine as I had a hard time find much to crit about.
I love how all her personalities and flaws fit so nicely together as well as her hobbies. Overall I think everything ties in very nicely with her character.
Her Puella Magi form and overall design also tie in very well. Such an elegant outfit fits in with her personality quite well!
A few questions/ crits for you though:
-This may be something you would only figure out through RP but, what sort of wish do you see her wishing for and what would motivate her to feel the need to make such a wish? How would her need for perfection effect her as a Puella Magi? Just curious here.
-Her history is rather short and I'd love to see a bit of elaboration! You mention her mother dying but how did she die? Did this have any effect on Lorraine or was she simply to young to be greatly effected by this? Was there any single event that drove her to be hard worker or did she always have a drive to try her hardest? You've got the basics down, I just feel it needs a little bit of elaboration.
That's really all I've got. Hope this helps you a bit~

Hmm, good question xD I don't have a solid idea at this point, but her wish may either be along the lines of her desires, or for her older brother to actually start doing something with his life. I don't quite have anything specific yet. And as for being a PM, she will probably be her usual perfectionist self. I am mostly going to rely on the answer coming through plotting and RP though.
Her mother died from circulatory disease, whether it had something to do with genetics or from smoking or both, Lorraine doesn't know. At first it was sad, but as she grew older the pain eased (and with the appearance of new-mommy/maid Anouk it became a lot better). No single event really made her a hard worker, it was mainly admiring how carefully and whole-heartedly Anouk worked. Unless you want to count the day Lorraine started to look up to Anouk, which would then be it. But it was a gradual process.
