The Mizukage was an interesting man indeed, but Sai was not swayed by his words. where others had failed to assume control, he would succeed. With only a failed attempt, an incomplete form of his master plan, he had leveled two villages and crippled another two. Sai was as resolute as ever, though no more resolute then before as he had nothing to lose one way or another. He, like the Mizukage, had resigned himself to death long ago, but unlike the Mizukage was forced to bear pain beyond what he could understand and would do so until he died. it served only as a reminder to him that he had not made all people feel as the Mizukage did... perhaps such revelation in the world would finally bring about real change rather then the glimmer of light in the midst of Pandora's Box the man spoke of.

"Your faith in the 'good' of the people is misplaced. Such good only appears in the most dire of situations, when people who still fear death feel it coming. Even then however, its never enough. A hero's actions are forgotten, but a world view, once changed can last millenia. I will change the view that people have of mankind, and pain will usher that understanding in. Either way, neither of us will convince the other. You seem to think you have experienced pain, yet you not even a fraction of what I feel every waking moment of the day. I guess when we see each other in hell, we can finally figure out which of us was right." With that, Sai turned from the man, almost disappointed that someone as promising as him did not see what Sai saw, but he supposed few would... which is why he would have to make everyone see it in the complete destruction of the world's power as it was.

Deil grinned at Havik's summary, though not once did he forget that Misuki was at his side seeking his attention and affection, and part of his grin also stemmed form her cute giggle. It just seemed rude of him to flat-out ignore everyone there other than Misuki, especially Havik who they had spent a lot of time with. "Well, at least you made it through the ordeal! That's something to be thankful about. My reception was a mixed bag, and I'm trying to earn the respect the people. At least they're willing to give me a shot though. He then turned his full attention back to Misuki as she tugged gently at his hand with her soft skin contrasting greatly with his own tough epidermis. His ear tingled delightfully as she strained on the tips of her toes to deliver her teasing response in a tantalizing whisper.

"Eh? Wha..." he replied before catching the smile on her face and the adorable giggle that said everything he needed to know. Deil chuckled back at her and stuck a little bit of his tongue out through his lips. "You know I would have if you had asked me, but I guess now you're going to miss out!" Her hand was then guided up some as he stooped a little to kiss her on the hand, and then swapped the hands he was holding hers with so that he could stand by her side while still holding hands. "So, see anyone else around here we should talk to? He hadn't really had time to register who was there as he rocketed straight toward Misuki, but now that he thought of it they might as well take the opportunity to do a little catch-up. Maybe they could even take a crack at the enigma that was Sai, but, Deil didn't think he had quite the intellectual prowess to convince someone like that of anything after such a long time of living that way.
