History: Aria was found by two wealthy witches back before she could remember. It became quickly apparent to them that she was indeed not human, but by then their small and weak daughter had become fond of Aria and her singing voice, so kept Aria around to make her happy. However, to monitor her mana intake and to prevent her from eating their or their daughter's hearts, she was kept locked away in a cage in a secret room out of the view of guests.
Aria cannot remember a time where she wasn't locked up in that cage in her home. It was all she really knew. She was called every name under the sun by her masters. Monster was the most common though. She knew she was a Majin because they never let her forget it, and it was always reiterated that she should have been killed on the spot, and that she should think herself as lucky to be alive. And she did think that, and was very grateful to her keepers even if they nearly starved her from mana until the very last moment. She was caught taking mana without permission once, and was punished severely, thus ingraining in her head that it was better to ask and starve then it was to steal and be punished.
One night, many years into this routine, Aria awoke to find her cage door open, but even with it swinging wide open she remained in it for a good bit of time before finally venturing out to see where her masters were, only to find the house completely empty. She waited for a while longer before becoming certain that they would never return, and began to wander aimlessly, not knowing what to do with herself. How she ended up at the Academy's doorstep one day is a mystery, even to her. Most say it was a series of very lucky events.
Personality: Aria is a very self loathing creature. She grew up being called a worthless monster for so long that she still believes it. She tells people who seem to be friendly towards her that she is one, as a warning more than anything, and is very nervous around other Majin, as she has yet to meet any exceptions to the 'monster' status in her head. As a witchling, she can only tell if others are Majin if they are of witch status or higher. If a Majin seems devious, she will do all she can to get away from them as fast as possible
Though locked up and mistreated, she loved her masters and little mistress, and will defend their honor to her death. If some reason someone learns of her past and why she thinks of herself the way she does and looks upon her with pity, she will kindly ask them to stop and go on in what seems like a practiced monologue of how kind and generous her masters were to such an evil creature such as herself. If someone where to insult them, she would fly into a tear filled rage, screaming at them to take it back and then darting away from them as fast as she could.
She is easily ordered around due to how she was raised. There are some things she will not do even if aggressively ordered, such as harm another person or taking someone's mana without permission. Her main purpose in life is that the people around her are happy with her. If she's a good girl, she is doing things right.
Goals:~Currently, Aria's main goal in life is to find out what to do with herself now that she has no purpose anymore, or so it seems to her. She dreads the thought of Witch Eaters, and hopes nothing more than to not become one. Ars Lilium she finds rather interesting though, but this can change with interaction with other students/witches/ect
~ A possibility is that because she tends to starve herself from time to time that she becomes so ravenous and hungry that she eats a Witch's Heart in a blind fury and becomes a Witch Eater on accident. This would break her down immensely, and she'll most likely become a blank shell of who she used to be
Likes: Birds, feathers, making people happy, being told what to do, her masters
Dislikes: Herself, Witch Eaters, making people upset, not knowing where her masters are
