This town is among one of the smallest towns and least populated. The population is about 10, making it the smallest town in Johto.
The name "New Bark Town" is derived from the fact that it is the starting point for the player, as well as a reference to the fact that all the towns of Johto are named after plants.
The town is known as Winds of A New Beginning.
Other than being connected to Route 29 in the west, it is also the town that must be passed through to reach Tohjo Falls, Victory Road, and Indigo Plateau, via Route 26 and Route 27.
